Not only one of the best detailers I've ever used, but one of the best companies, period, I've dealt with. Their name is no joke! I had them detail two cars for me, they showed up on time and did a thorough, professional job. One was a full detail and it came out looking brand new. They won't cover your driveway with soapy water either, and I imagine most business building owners would have no problem with them working in the parking lots either. There was one minor scratch they couldn't get out on one car - not their fault, it was too deep, down to the paint. The recommended me to a local chip and paint guy and that's where the story gets good (for them). Long story short the paint guy did a bad job on the repair. Not Above and Beyonds fault at all but you would have thought it was from the way they acted. They stayed with the problem all the way, called body shops for me, even offered to give me a ride at one point. They even called to check up on how the fix was going this week. You would have thought they screwed it up, not the paint guy! Just amazing service. In the end I got the problem fixed and it was 100x easier (and probably cheaper, given their connections) than if I hadn't had their help - which I didn't ask for and they technically didn't have to give. Seriously, I cannot say enough good things about this place. If you need a detail, you need to call them ASAP. read more

I don't have my car detailed that often, but my car was pretty dirty inside. Donavin did my car while I was on vacation, and when I came back I had a new car! Donavin took the time to make sure the cleaning was perfect. I found Donavin via Google search and Yelp reviews then hired him to do two vehicles - a 2006 Lexus 430SC and a 2008 Chevrolet Suburban. He showed up at my house on time, set up, worked all day in the summer heat, took pride in his work, talked with curious neighbors then left the work area spotless. My dog had an accident in my car. I cleaned it up to my best ability, but I really needed to bring in the pros. I set up the appointment with Pamela, who was very informative and helpful. Absolutely phenomenal. Donavin puts the 'tail in detail because he works so hard. I have an older SUV with some pretty serious tree droppings around my apartment and I was worried about whether or not he could handle them. The reviews here gave me confidence, and they couldn't have been more right. Cannot express how impressed I am with Above & Beyond! Don't wait; contact Donavin immediately. He did a phenomenal job on my black 2003 Honda Accord EX that, while not in terrible condition, had seen better days. Especially the cloth interior.... Ten years of no significant attention, several cross-country moves...it was time for some serious work. I've only had one other detail from a common Austin car wash service that was a lot of money for not a lot of time or detail; needless to say, I was disappointed and skeptical about what results I could expect from any other detailing service. Like many others, I found Above & Beyond from Yelp (thanks fellow reviewers!) and read every single review. Everyone raved, which is terribly rare, so I sent a request. Donavin responded in a timely manner. Even with several weather delays causing us to reschedule twice, Donavin was very flexible with my limited availability and confirmed twice the week of my appointment. Day of: Donavin (with Mugsy, his sweet pooch, near by) arrived 20 minutes early and he spent 6 hours on my car in what was supposed to be a warm Dec day (50 and super windy...ugh). He was a trooper and I brought several cups of hot coffee to keep him warm! People walking the neighborhood stopped to ask him about the work he was doing and he gladly chatted with them. Before he started, Donavin and I had a good opportunity to discuss my car's condition, trouble spots, and what he could do. This set some realistic expectations for me and gave me confidence that he really was going to give his full attention to every nook and cranny. And attention he gave. I was so impressed with the results that I didn't know what to do with myself once I saw my car; I was stunned at how shiny and smooth the black finish looked, that my interior seats were actually beige and not grey (slightly joking...), and that my dingy headlights now looked brand new (note: I seriously notice much better visibility at night due to the increased illumination from my headlights...that's how great the difference is!). Since finishing my car, he's followed up to thank me and to ask if I have any further questions about how to care for car. Donavin is completely trustworthy, honest, and fantastic to work with. I had a few errands to run while he was there and felt completely fine leaving my house unlocked and unattended (so he could access the restroom and water); not a problem at all. I contemplated not writing anything but I was just really bothered by it like sick to my stomach (last part of review) I'll try not to be a dick about it since he was cool with me and you can tell he likes making vehicles look their best and updated me. I try to keep my truck pretty clean, it's a '13 model. Few nicks here and there as expected. But it needed some love on the exterior so I went to trusty yelp, found Donavin and all his 5 stars. Figured why not give him a try. I hate chain detail shops. let's be honest, there's always bunch of morons who don't know what they're doing and jack your paint up. He charged me $350. Not the cheapest I've paid but also not the most. He had my truck at his house for two days because a storm rolled in. Yes you have go to his house. I'll say this, the truck looks real good in and out for the most part. I grew up Army and joined up myself so I'm anal about attention to detail, maybe a little too anal but I'll let you decide after reading this. I'm no expert but the windshield was very streaky on the inside, noticed on the ride home. You know the suction marks your window GPS makes? Still there too. Windows suck to clean; but even after two days of him having It I still had to wipe down some of the windows? There was like idk sticky water droplets? Idk maybe some cleaning stuff got left behind, no biggie. I get that my truck probably wasn't the only vehicle he worked on, but come on, two days. He really laid on the armor all or whatever he uses on the plastics, in and out. Like way too much for me, I even told him to not put anything on the vinyl in our first conversations. Some of those products can damage your vinyl, over time of course, but he did it anyways. Maybe it slipped his mind, it happens.The interior and my weathertech liners were a dang slip and slide. Even my mother said some thing about it. I had to wipe everything off when I got home. My leather seats were slippery too. I've cleaned the hell out of my seats with Lexol and never slid in my seats so idk what's going on there. wheel shine was slathered on and slung all over the vehicle after I drove it home. That's on me for not telling him about the wide tires doing that and to take it easy on the shine. So anyways, I brought my truck all the way in Buda. Asked him if he knew how to remove a dealership badge. He said it'll be no problem. So I assumed that it would be all gravy. He sent me a text saying there were some "scuff" marks that he found underneath the badge and would have to wet sand it. Weird since I bought it brand new. Told him to hold off of sanding it since it takes clear coating off. I told him to just buff what he can but that if it need sanding then go ahead but I'd prefer he didn't. He told me no worries and that he'll do what he can without sanding. I'm a NACE (google it) coating inspector so I know a thing or two on paint. The "scuffs" stuck in my head so when I picked it up it was the first place I really focused. He kept saying "it wasn't bad, you can't even notice unless you stare at it." I asked if he used floss and a cleaner to get it off. He told me he just pulled it, it was hot out, and the 3M tape off with his fingers and some goo gone. I knew immediately that either he/someone, maybe Casper, took a screw driver or something and tried to scratch tape off. Guys, It was scratched to hell, like it's bad. There is two gouge marks and it looks like many attempts to remove the tape. I got at a certain angle, you know the side angle you use to really eye ball something. I'll have to post a pic if you can see it in the photo. I can't emphasize enough how jacked the paint is, to the point where I may just spend the money and get Maaco to repaint the spot. it's not a massive area. I'd say a 3x3 in area. He blamed someone else; he'd him and haw and tried to give me explanations of why it's like that. I said a couple more things about it and to see what he'd say I fed him a bs story that maybe it was dealership and they wanted to cover it. He agreed lol. Which could be true as well. I wasn't there the moment it was removed. I could tell he knew that I knew something was fishy, seemed quite and didn't really look at me. Kept pointing other stuff out to let me check the rest of the truck out and to get away from the tailgate. I can't say for a fact that he caused the damage and I didn't call him out on it, no proof, and he was up front about it. BUT I'll just say it's really really suspicious that's there is jacked up paint in exactly the same spot as the badge. You can tell by touching that it's def jacked up, it's kind of smooth in some spots but maybe he sanded before/after I said not to and just didn't tell me. I'm not saying he's a shady person and is just trying to pass it off. I don't know him, but I find it hard to believe that a brand new vehicle off the lot just happened to have damaged paint in a very specific spot and someone tried to cover it. Donavins work is UNBELIEVABLE. If I could give him 10 stars I would. I drive a 2007 Lexus and it looks better than it did the day I bought it. Every single thing in my car is spotless. Every single scratch on the outside of my car is gone (and I was side swiped on the highway a year ago), every crack, vent, nook and cranny on the inside is absolutely spotless. Well I read everyone elses reviews and thought heck this guy sounds to good to be true....and he was.I spoke to a women and she asked me about my truck and I told her it was an 2000 and hadnt been detailed in sometime.When he showed up at my office he said he would make it look great and I left it and went to a jobsite.He called an hour later saying he just couldnt do it for the quoted price and would have to get more money or he would just leave the exterior half buffed and just quit.I had just bought the truck for my son and wanted to give it to him and I was no where near where it was being detailed so I agreed to more money and still he didnt do the detail the engine and the wheels were untouched.He complained he had been tring to train someone to help him but they kept quitting and I feel he was just to lazy to do the job by himself....Do not trust this guy...... read more

Absolutely astonishing. Donavin obviously worked his butt off for two days straight. He literally restored my CR-V to "brand new." When I can say a previously-trashed-kid-soaked-and-spattered car was restored to show-room quality, I don't say that lightly. I can't believe the detail of cleaning. I couldn't find one speck of dust. Even the ridiculous number of scratches in the paint job were re-done, re-sealed, re-waxed. I would hardly recognize my car, if I didn't see the license plates.I was going to trade the car in, but after seeing the miraculous transformation, I feel like I have a new car. I don't know what else I can say, except he is either a magician or really really really takes his work seriously. Well worth every penny (which was very reasonable), and I can't recommend him highly enough. I selected Donavin based solely on the yelp reviews that I had read ... and I am completely THRILLED. Donavin rocks!!! My wife found him on Yelp and hired him to detail my Acura TL. What an awesome wife - but I digress. He spent over 6 hours on my car. I've waxed my TL a few times in the past but the job that Donavin did put my work to shame. He was able to get all the scuffs, road tar, bugs and sap off the paint. But his best work was on the interior. I've got two boys that play sports and they're constantly getting black scuff marks on the seat backs and door panels from their cleats - Donavin took care of all of it. Not to mention the stains in the carpet and on the leather. All my neighbors are commenting on what a great job he did. It's like I have a new car.
