I called to ask for a very small order (50 copies or so) and the man Keegan seem annoyed from the beginning. He asked me some questions I didn't know the answer to regarding the kind of paper. He then said he would have to add a rush fee if I would like it done within the next two days. He sent me a estimate for around $75 and said my file needed alterations. I told him I'm sorry i wasted his time I just can't pay that, he rudely hung up quickly after that without saying anything. So I called Office Depot and they didn't have any problem with my file and was able to print it out in 15 mins AND only charge me $28. I am all for supporting local businesses but this was clear they were trying to up charge me and got mad when I kindly declined. Horrible. read more

Maybe it's because institutional print buyers aren't Yelp! reviewers, it's the only reason I can think of why I am only the sixth person reviewing Abracadabra - they are just like magic! Having worked in a print shop, I've been "behind the scenes," and I think this would be a great shop for consumers, because the staff is super super super knowledgeable and really patient; if you just need an identity package this is a fine shop to come to, but if you're a design professional then you will really be impressed by the staff - these are career union print professionals, and they know their stuff. I would especially recommend them for catalogs, direct mail, and unique promotional items - I saw one of their customers get this gorgeous 25"x11" trifold folder with two pockets for customized inserts and a metal spiral bound booklet, they do complex work well. I had a printing job I needed done within a day or two. I called Abracadabra on the recommendation of a designer friend. When I first called, the quote I got was low, the service was good, and the turn around was quick. They said they'd have a proof ready to go when we got there. I sent my fiance to pick them up. When he arrived, the people at the front desk had no proof, couldn't find the files I emailed, and argued about the pricing we were quoted an hour earlier. They also wanted to charge us a $20 design fee to print four of our invitations on a page (the file was of only one invitation). So my fiance left empty handed. I called again, talked to the same person who was able to find my files no problem, reassured me the quote was accurate, and told me we could try again the next day. They explained the design fee--*any* graphic work is subject to $75/hour design fee, broken into 15 minute increments--the smallest being $20/15 mins. I was willing to accept that and move on because the quote was still cheaper than other print shops. When I called the next morning, I told them I needed them by 2pm. They told me they now couldn't get the prints done until 4pm at the earliest, and introduced a 20% rush fee. With such a small job (40 pages) that they were able to accommodate within an hour the day before, I was surprised. The experience went from bad to worse. I didn't end up using them to print because the experience was so frustrating. The miscommunications between their staff, the late-introduced rush fee, the $20 design fee for what should be normal set-up work, and the delay. I don't plan to try them again. read more

Whenever we have a need for business cards, letterhead & envelopes, or ANYTHING marketing related I immediately think of Abracadabra. They offer impeccable service with a smile, and have a sense of urgency if the job calls for it (not every job does, but once in a while we can get behind the 8 ball)! With the many years of combined experience in the printing industry, the team at Abracadabra comes up with fresh new ideas and efficient ways to complete the work. They have Graphic Designers on staff to assist with designing, but often times we bring them print ready work; either way the final product is fantastic and they've never missed a deadline for us. I will continue to use them with confidence, and couldn't imagine getting better service anywhere else! read more

This place did a great job for me! The first thing I ordered was, of course, out of stock. (just my luck, not their fault) .. they IMMEDIATELY responded and recommended some items of a similar nature. I went a different direction though from the item I first ordered and am thrilled with it. They kept me posted, sent me a proof to OK and I did make some changes .. and then delivered the item 4 days before my "absolute must have" date. Great customer service, great products.
