The hostess/waitress was very helpful and immediately sat me down to tell me what wasn't available. I appreciated that so much to let me know in advance. I ordered the French toast with fruits and whipped cream along with a side of eggs and cheddar cheese. Everything came out fresh and delicious. The eggs tasted so good had me thinking about the eggs back in Miami like do they taste the same. The eggs needed no salt it was good just the way it was. The syrup paired with the French toast tasted like it had coffee or bourbon in it which was really delicious. We were looking for a nice place to brunch in Santurce, and our Airbnb was right around the corner from Abracadabra. I had read reviews about the gluten-free pancakes being the best in town--and I have to admit, the reviews didn't give them enough credit. My husband ordered the regular pancakes but ended up wishing he had gone with the gluten-free ones instead. This is definitely our first choice for brunch. I had a mimosa and tried some of my husbands Negroni and they were both poured super well. While visiting San Juan we decided to have brunch here and it was so good! First off the place is decorated super fun, making it feel like you were in Alice in Wonderland. I started off with a chai latte and this was by far the best chai latte I've ever had. If you're a fan of them you have to order it here. For my entree I went with the veggie omelet and added in turkey and omg. It was so good! The turkey they give you isn't deli turkey but actual real carved turkey which was such a nice unexpected surprise. The omelette with a big portion and came with a side of toast which was perfect. While visiting Puerto Rico, we decided to try out Abracadabra. This restaurant was highly rated on yelp and our tour guide recommended it as well, so this was sort of a win-win for me. Entering into the restaurant was great! We were greeted and sat quickly. The decor was awesome (little bunnies painted on the artwork, tables with globes on it which is also the sugar tin) and our waiter humored me and conversed with me in spanish and my dad in english. We ordered mocha lattes and water to start. My experience in the states with mochas are very hit or miss. Here, they are definitely a HIT! Not too sweet, not too hot, but really just right. I ordered a classic breakfast with french toast for my meal- I wasn't sure what to get so our waiter helped me decide. Par for the course in Puerto Rico, our food did take a while to receive. I do love that you can see everything happening in the kitchen- these are my favorite types of restaurants to eat at. The food came out and tasted amazing. Updating review Soo the lunch is GREAT, but the brunch is even BETTER people! This is one of places that if you do not arrive early you will wait over an hour to eat OK! I had a craving for some pancakes and it is extremely difficult to find GF & DF in Puerto Rico for some reason we don't believe in that... well I'm allergic and I love to brunch, but hate to have potatoes We arrived probably an hour after it opened (10ish) and we for out table of 4 with a stroller in 5minutes. Once we entered the restaurant was packed and the table we were given was way to small and in a corner beside the electric box or however its named... My husband and I asked for another table because we wouldn't put our baby beside that. Thankfully they were clearing a table and swap us Our waiter was really fast... like you kinda had no time to think, but at the same time did! we ordered everything since we were staving and the food arrived like in 30minutes The juices & coffee came first. They do not work decaf so I only had Acerola Juice (the juices are 100% natural with no added sugar). Soo the food is a lot! if you don't eat much you can share a plate or if you are like me then... you gobble the whole thing (I mean I'm breastfeeding soo the hunger is real) The ONLY negative thing here is that the GF pancakes were the last to arrive and we had to eat our eggs by themselves. The GF pancakes today were dry which they are never this way.. I wish I could give this place more stars...I finished beach yoga and wanted brunch food. I used Yelp to find a spot and this was one of the options. I'm so happy I chose to come here! I had the montecristo (French toast sandwich) since French toast is my favorite, and OMG! I see why they call this place "abracadabra." One minute the food is there and then voilà! It's gone! That sandwich didn't stand a chance...I also had a latte, which was really good with Splenda and milk. Also, my waiter was the sweetest. I wish I would have gotten his name. You just gotta love the place. From the pinkish purple outside to the funky inside, the vibe is strong. The decor is amazing and remind of a little lfea market antique store. Vintage pictures hanging on the wall, but all the people's faces have been replaced by white bunny faces with extrq long ears. The entrance/exit door is painted like a huge mouth inside with magic figures on each side. There is a quaint bar and a tiny kitchen right next to it, where you can waatch the staff whip up delicious dishes and drinks. The coffee here is amazing. I had the latte and cursed myself for not ordering a larger one. You must try the coffee here, you must. My guest had the Acerola juice, which reminds of cherry, but is rather tart and abosutely yummy. We started with the Mallorca, another must try when in Puerto Rico. It's a sweet bread served in a variety of ways. Here it comes with butter and guava. Sweet, but not too sweet... Buttery goodness is what I call it. Stayed at the hotel located next to this restaurant. One morning decided to pop in here for brunch but the wait was very very long. I will say that the food however was very good. It did take awhile to come out and we were on a time crunch to catch our flight back home. The food took almost an hour and ended up being taken to go. We ordered the salmon omelette, salmon burger, veggie omelette, and 2 orders of 1/2 stack pancakes with toppings.
