I came back from a cruise, and I was having trouble seeing out of my left eye. I was recommended to Dr. Abraham and got in the next day. The girls in the office were very efficient and knew exactly what they were doing, very professional. Dr. Abraham told me I needed cataract surgery in both eyes. I thought he was very knowledgeable and to the point. I am 76 so the thought of eye surgery was scary, but he put me at ease. I had my first surgery, and it went better than I thought he is kind, gentle, and it was not scary. I have my next surgery in two weeks, and I am very confident it will go as well. Went to this ophthamologist for about four years before deciding yesterday to not go anymore. Last few visits have been very uncomfortable. I made my usual 6 month appt for checking retinas and dry eye procedure. Appt was yesterday. Dr came in hot, upset first that my purse was hanging on the wrong side of the exam chair and then scolded the assistant about it. Then proceeded to rush through a dry eye procedure -- a new procedure that was quite painful. Snapped when I asked question about checking my retinas "you can come back in week for that." No explanation and out he went. I hope he is ok. Went to new ophthamologist today who said "we get a lot of his patients." Say no more. read more

Abraham came in and spent a whole two minutes with me and try to upsell me to do cataract surgery that was going to cost me about $10,000 per eye. I went and got a second opinion elsewhere and everywhere I went told me I barely had any cataracts and a glaucoma surgery he was recommending is no longer covered by Medicare because it's not even effective, which is why he was trying to get me to pay cash avoid this used car salesman. read more

I had an emergency appointment with Dr. Abraham. because I was seeing a dark spot. He confirmed it was a tear in my retina and the beginning of a detached retina. Rather than telling me to make an appointment to see a retina specialist, he personal walked me to the specialist in the same building. His put in the emergency referral request. and they call to notify me that the referral was approved! thanks to Dr. Abraham and his office staff made a stressful situation much easier to deal with! read more

My initial consultation with Dr Nathan Abraham was good. I was impressed with his knowledge & the speed on treatment. I was with another doctor that moved slower on tests & treatment and I wanted a 2nd opinion. He quickly set the eye laser surgery dates for glycoma. When I went back for the procedure he was completely different. He was rude and arrogant with no bedside manner. I had some questions & he snapped that he had already answered questions on my 1st visit. He said that me asking more questions ment I didn't trust him. If I didn't want him to do the procedure I could leave. He insisted that I give a yes or no for him to proceed with no questions. Not much else was said. When finished he said I'll see you in 2 weeks for the other eye and left. The girl came in seconds behind him. I asked her about an RX & she said he had left the building. It was within seconds which made me feel he was rushed to finish & probably the reason he didn't want questions. I felt violated and disturbed with his attitude. The speed & personality that had impressed me before were now disgusting. I was in pain & couldn't see for the tears. He didn't seem to have any compassion. I'm a retired medical sales representative that have had relationships with many doctors. He's exactly the type of doctor I would never choose. I had a very difficult time going back for the other eye but felt it was best for insurance reasons. He was just as cold & and barely said anything. I'm compelled to do this review so others don't make same mistake. I know a doctors time is valuable and I've worked with enough of them to know that's not how to handle it. I wouldn't choose a doctor like him that doesn't want questions and will minimize your feelings. I waited until my follow up visit to finnish this review. He continued to give the impression that he didn't want questions and being quick and rude was good. It's not the treatment I want and nobody should settle for a doctor like him. read more

Definitely feel as though he's looking for a paycheck. Was rushed in and out by cattle and didn't feel as though he really listened to me considering he was talking about somebody elses chart while talking to me. The doctor has no bedside manner at all. He hardly acknowledged me and instead spewed several medical terms for his assistant to write down, as if I wasn't even in the room. He didn't ask what brought me to his office or what was concerning me. I had to stop him from leaving so that I could ask him the questions I came in to ask. The receptionist and assistant were far more friendly and personable than the doctor, who seemed to want to rush appointments and fill his day with multiple patients. read more

A few months ago, I visited Dr. Abraham with several issues, the least of which was extremely poor reading vision. I also had borderline glaucoma and a couple of beginning cataracts. Dr. A. explained how he could take care of all three problems with a single surgery in each eye. After a thorough explanation, I opted to "Go for It" and boy am I glad I did. The surgeries were a month apart and only took a few minutes each and to some degree it was a fun experience. Not only have I ditched my reading glasses, but I don't need to worry about glaucoma or cataracts going forward. Dr. and his staff are great as was the surgery center. At a minimum you need to meet Dr. A. he is a really dedicated doctor and my visits are always enlightening. read more

My mom was referred to Dr. Abraham for her narrow angle. His office is clean and accommodating with water and chocolate. Receptionist was nice and friendly. Our appointment was on time. Dr. Abraham was very knowledgeable and spent him time testing my mom. He explained everything in layman's term of why he recommended cataract surgery. Had an appointment, walked into the office and there were SEVEN people in the waiting area, not an empty seat anywhere. Doctor was with a Patient. So, I had an appointment, just not with a Doctor. I checked in, and walked out, then came home to write a review and find a Doctor who cares about their reputation and Patients. Not some Eye Mill, churning out invoices to Insurance companies. I waited 3 months to write this review so I can tell you all about the whole experience. Let me start by saying, the overall experience was Fantastic. I couldn't be happier with the results. If you are thinking about getting LASIK or any eye procedure done, go to Dr. Abraham. Dr Abraham and the staff are just simply amazing, caring, and wonderful. He really cares about his patients and if you have any questions or concerns he will make room in his schedule for you and answer all your questions. While he is performing the procedure he allows you to pick the type of music that you want, so you can be completely claim. The following day (Saturday) he came into the office, to make sure the procedure was a success. That Saturday I was able to see 20/20 vision for the first time. I even cried because of how happy I was with the results. Life-changing results, all thanks to Dr. Abraham and his staff. If I ever had any concerns about my vision after the surgery the staff would make an appointment for me the following day. He truly cares about your results and satisfaction. The only downside is that in the first few weeks, your eyes will be very dry but that's completely normal. The Doctor gave me complementary treatment for my dry eyes and he reassured me that it would go away within a month or so. Sure enough, it went away and I no longer have dry eyes. Once again, overall my experience has been Great! Thank you to all the staff that works there. 10/10 I would recommend!! read more

Dr. Abraham is by far the best healthcare professional I have ever dealt with! I was referred to Dr. Abraham by my primary care physician for dry/red eyes and potential pterygium removal (growth of raised tissue on the conjunctiva, that extends onto the cornea). The mere thought of eye surgery made me feel anxious until I had my first consultation with Dr. Abraham. From the minute I walked into Abraham Eye Center I felt confident that I was in good hands. The staff was pleasant to interact with and the office is clean with modern equipment. After being assessed and discussing treatment options for dry/red eye Dr. Abraham determined that removing my pterygium is the best treatment for me. I agreed to surgery and 2 months later I was in the operating room. Dr. Abraham made the surgery feel like a complete breeze. He checked in on me moments before surgery and answered all of my last minute questions which allowed me to feel absolutely relaxed and calm. He played a great mix of music in the operating room which definitely helped take the focus off the surgery. Today, I'm two months post op and my red eye is almost completely gone, my vision is great and the weird looking growth on my cornea is gone! The surgery was a total success. You know there is something special about a doctor if he comes highly recommended by other doctors. I'm currently dealing with an unfortunate eye issue. Obviously this can create panic in anyone. I was lucky to have been sent over to Dr. Abraham and wish I was sent over sooner. Not to discredit the previous doctors who were assisting me, but coming straight here would have saved me much of the hassle and stress I experienced. The office is located in this great little shopping center/office with parking readily available. Once in Dr. Abraham's office you can see he has all of the state of the art technology and it is one of the cleanest offices I've ever seen. It's very simple and modern with a very comfortable feel. Any doctors office should give off such a similar vibe. Now for the doctor himself. What a great personable individual. My nerves are through the roof with this eye issue and he has been very attentive, understanding and determined in order to assist. He is quite highly educated and really shows he cares for his patients. Looks like I found my regular eye doctor! (Even though I hope I don't need to utilize his services...) I wanted to share a very unprofessional occurrence that happened to me at Abraham Eye Center. I saw Dr. Abraham on January 11, 2023 for a consultation for Cataract Surgery. His exam was very thorough and he determined that I would in fact benefit by having Laser Assisted Cataract Surgery and the placement of a Trifocal lens. He said my insurance United Healthcare would not cover the procedure and the cost for both eyes would be $12,000, When I called my insurance company, the representative informed me that the laser surgery and special lens placement was covered 100% and she offered to call to tell the Office Manager this. When my insurance representative reached Stephanie, the Business Office Manager they got into a heated conversation about this! Stephanie hung up on my United Health Care representative! She stated that she could not be forced to bill the insurance company for this surgery. Well that is simply not true! If a facility is a contracted provider for an insurance company they are required to bill the insurance company! She was so unprofessional and I have decided to get a consultation with another Ophthalmologist . I will not be going back to Abraham Eye Center, The doctor was fine but his Business Office Manager is awful! read more

His staff is warm, friendly, and welcoming. His office is very clean and up to date with the newest testing and diagnostic equipment in his field. The office is also easy to find and has plenty of parking, which is important. Dr. Abraham is confident and also very good at explaining his diagnosis, treatment plan, and follow up. He does not rush you out the door and makes sure to answer all of your questions. He is very thorough with his examination. As a patient you feel that he truly is invested in helping you. I visited Dr. Abraham from a referral by an optometrist in the area and am very thankful for that referral. Dr. Abraham is excellent - he has a remarkably friendly personality and explains everything thoroughly and clearly. I had severely dry eyes and an eye droop; he has services for dry eyes and gave excellent advice. For the eye droop, he was able to refer me to an oculoplastic surgeon and laid out my options. I was reffered to Dr Abraham from my Optometrist. I was diagnosed with Dry Eye it was suggested I see Dr Abraham for further diagnosis and treatment. I could not be happier.
