I've been doing my eye exams for contacts and glasses here over 5 years. through various Dr.s. Recently (2023) I was examined for the first time by Dr. Babakhan and my new prescription for contacts and glasses were perfect. I felt very comfortable and she takes her time to evaluate you and listens to any questions or issues you have and answers you professionally. The staff were very helpful and answered any questions you have, though sometimes during a call they sound very busy and rushed. Their one restroom is very very clean. As for the showroom for glasses, it should be updated(imo), I would like to see more male (or unisex) options and maybe a bigger mirror. This place was recommended by our ophthalmologist. I made an appointment and went in. The lady who saw us was nice. We had our prescription so a doctor never came in which I thought was weird. I was told the prescription would arrive in less than 2 weeks. I had to call them every step of the way. There is a older lady that works there that has no idea what she is doing. Every time I call she is clueless. She gives me one story and her coworkers another story. She is flippant and rude. I asked her about my recent order and she told me they got boxes in but she doesn't know what is in them. I asked her to check on my pair and she said no. My glasses should have been in a while ago. I like to support small businesses but not when they act like this. I gave them a fair chance. I'll make sure to mention this to my ophthalmologist. read more

The staff was prompt and cheerful here. The doctor was very nice. I received a very thorough eye exam from her. They have a nice variety of frames to choose from. However my eyes were dilated so I wasn't able to properly assess them on my face. The young lady was very helpful and told me I could come back at any time to finish picking out a frame. She even put aside a frame for me. However, I wasn't told that I had to make an appointment to come back. I showed up and was told I had to make an appointment. When I returned they had misplaced the frames they had put aside and it took about 15 minutes to find them. With the help of Jenny, I ended up choosing some different frames that were better suited for my face shape and lifestyle. I am very selective but she was very patient and engaged! So far my overall experience was a good one! Will see how the end result is when I pick up the finished product. My partner did have to take his back because the prescription was very different from his current glasses. However, that seems to have been a mistake made by the lab they send it out to, and not theirs. After two weeks I had to call them to ask about my glasses. They came in almost a week later. I tried them and the prescription wasn't right. Went back and they re-examined my eyes. Had two wait another couple of weeks and again had to call them and wait a bit longer. I get the feeling they were forgetting to send the frames to the lab. Finally got them. They still aren't quite right but I don't want to go back again. I mostly wear them to drive. Customer service was okay, and Dr. Chu was polite and professional, however prices are higher than I've experienced. My insurance usually covers most of the eye exam and contact lens measurement so I was surprised when I had to pay close to $200 for the usual exam and measurement. Not to mention that my prescription was off and I had to request the one that Costco gave me the previous year. I'll be going to Costco next year. read more

Dr. Garbus and this office literally gave me my life back. I developed a type of vestibular disorder that was stemming from my vision. I was constantly dizzy, could not drive, could barely leave the house, it was horrible. After having a thorough neuro vision exam and getting glasses that had the right power, prism, tint, etc. I was able to drive again, go out and am now working and attending school. The office was also very professional and friendly and worked with us on the payments for this exam and the glasses as I didnt have vision insurance at that time. I would highly, highly recommend this office to anyone, especially if you need something more in depth than just the average eye exam. read more

Dr. Garbus and Jenny were outstanding with my son's eye problems. The amount of testing they did and patience bestowed upon him was touching, indeed. Dr. Garbus has all the state of the art eqpt to make the correct diagnosis for proper behavioral tech's as well as glasses. I recommend him to anyone that has normal eye issues as well as to those problems that are more complex. Jenny was kind enough to allow my son an hour to look at every single pair of frames, then change his mind. Hi I really needed to write this review to prevent others from the experience I had at this office. I went to this office for my daughter, referred by one of the optometrist at Lens Crafters. Customer service at this office is awful. The secretaries are just rude and very unfriendly. I had my son with me as well, he played in this really small play area they had. One of the secretaries made a point to tell me he needed to clean up before we left the office even before he started playing. Once inside we saw Dr. Yi, who also lacked customer service skills and was a bit condescending. Before we left the office, another secretary made a point to mention that my daughter had picked several glasses, after I told her that we were not purchasing glasses at the time. Just save yourself a bad experience and research before you book an appointment at this office. read more

I had been going to Family Vision Care for years. All of the optometrists are very sweet and thorough, however, I am very unhappy with my recent service. I wear CRT lenses and have been wearing them for over 7 years. The lenses are very expensive ($225/lens). At the end of last year, I went for a check-up and the optometrist told me that I needed a new prescription. I paid over $600 out of pocket for new lenses and a new prescription. After trying the new prescription, the optometrist decided that the old prescription was the best. However, I was still charged for a new prescription. When I asked if I could be refunded my money since I did not need a new prescription, the assistant let me know that they could not do that. All of the other CRT lenses I've used have been very resilient and have lasted for years. The last pair I used lasted for 3 years! However, after only using these lenses for 5 months, one of them broke while in my lens container. I called the office and explained what happened, however, they were immediately snippy and let me know that the lenses were past their 90 day warranty and that these lenses do not break on their own. I also found out that this warranty does not begin when the patient receives the lenses, but rather begins from the ordering date. The office assistants were more helpful when I spoke with them later, and offered me a $50 discount on the replacement lens; however, I am unhappy with my experience. I feel like I paid far too much money for a wrong recommendation and now have to pay to replace a faulty lens. If the optometrist wanted to do exploratory fittings, he should have been more explicit about his intentions and the price tag. If he had been, I would have opted to not pay for a refitting and continued with my old prescription. I've had enough of Family Vision Care overchargning me and will be taking my business elsewhere. read more

It was time for our children to have their first eye test and we selected Family Vision Care largely due to its relatively close location to our home. We've been there twice now and considering dealing with little kids in this kind of setting ain't easy, I have no complaints. I found the receptionist to be very friendly and it's nice that they have a little (well, very little) kids area with videos (yes videos - not DVD's, not Netflix) and a TV with a ton of kids videos to keep them occupied. But both times, the appointment was on time so the wait time was very limited. The eye doctor they've seen has been really friendly, really good with the kids and generally just a very nice person. Plus, we've been able to make appointments on Saturday mornings. I have nothing negative to say about Family Vision Optometry. read more
