Ever since the switch over from Dr. Levy things shifted. Call and text me 18 times before to confirm but wake me up on my day off at 7am to cancel my appointment because the hygienist got sick. Ok people get sick but if I would've got sick and tried to cancel the morning of I'm charged a fee. They cancel but I was having pain as well on one side so wanted to still come in. They tell me I can come in at 8 am so they woke me up and now I got to jump up and get dressed and run there if I want to be seen. Fine, while there I reschedule my cleaning and I'm off on fridays so that's best. Made appointments got call next day to from hygienist to schedule it earlier we go threw dates and times and I let her know what I do and cant leave work till 530 but she apparently doesn't work on Fridays i assume from the conversation we had. So against my better judgment I say fine let's do Thursday at 330. I had to clear this with my leadership to dismiss my class 2 hrs early and try to make it there. I'm coming from Columbia area so traffic I call tell them this and tell them I'm on the way. I arrived late of course around 340 or so and get told after all that unfortunately it's too late to be seen. I just short changed my students one day, lost some money off my check cause I left early just to be told unfortunately I can't be seen. I never wanted that day she acted as if Friday just wasn't an option. Front desk asked me if I wanted to reschedule. No thank you. I wish I didn't cause I really liked Dr Levy but it seems like I need to start looking into finding a new dentists preferably one that operates on a Friday cause Brooklyn Park dental definitely does not.

Despite that, this is the only medical provider I've ever seen where if you don't confirm an appointment, they cancel it without even notifying you (though they'll call and text repeatedly asking you to confirm). The first time this happened was December of last year. I explained that I already struggle with dental anxiety and take a sedative before visits, which makes last-minute cancellations especially difficult. Instead of understanding, Dr. F responded by saying many patients have state insurance and around the holidays "money is tight," so they cancel unconfirmed appointments to fill slots. Not only was this offensive, but it also felt like a baseless assumption about me and other patients. They promised to "flag" my account so it wouldn't happen again. Multiple family appointments with no issue after that. Fast forward to today: I left work early, showed up for my 1:00 appointment (after waiting outside 20 minutes while the office was closed for lunch), only to be told once again, "Oh no, you didn't confirm, so your appointment was cancelled." No call. No text. No respect for my time. I immediately cancelled all future appointments for myself and my family. I've never had a healthcare provider require confirmation to keep an appointment, especially when I already confirm at the time of booking and track everything in my calendars. Most offices simply charge a no-show fee if you miss--it's fair and professional. Here, however, patients who show up on time are punished because they didn't jump through an extra hoop. I had even referred extended family to this office, but after this experience, I wouldn't recommend them to anyone. The lack of professionalism, disregard for patients, and tone-deaf policies are absolutely unacceptable.

Once for a cleaning, and once for a set of fillings…read more The office was very accomodating to my schedule, getting me in quickly, and combining a new patient appointment and a cleaning into one visit (as I have a challenge getting off from work for too many days). I was seen immediately upon arriving, and the hygenist was both very nice and very thorough. As to the filling, again I was taken back immediately upon arrival. They certainly are quick! My fillings were in my front teeth, and the composite fillings look wonderful. Dr. Fenlon has a very deft touch with a needle... one of the two least painful novacaines I've ever had! The other being a root canal specialist also in the Baltimore area. (Over the years, I've had quite a lot of needlework to compare to.) The resin work is seamless with the tooth, and he even fixed a chip I've had on the bottom of the same tooth as one of the cavities for well over a decade while he was at it. Looks great! I was surprised. When I got done, I noticed something was different, and then it dawned on me that the raggedy corner was gone.... pleasant surprise! I'd always just kind of lived with it. He said it didn't take much while he was already doing all the work. I think I've found a new dentist...I'm thrilled, and I recommend you give him a try. He's a bit of a hidden gem, being located all the way out in Western Howard County, but well worth the drive!

My initial interactions with Dr. Sirius were positive, and I developed a professional relationship with him due to his reputation as a prominent and respected dentist in the field, as well as my status as a police officer. However, I was disappointed to discover that Dr. Sirius informed me that the amount of work I required might exceed my dental coverage, which could result in additional expenses. Despite expressing my concern about surpassing my dental coverage, his team continued to schedule appointments for me to receive treatment, even though it was clear that I had surpassed my limit. This ultimately resulted in my incurring a debt of over $700, which left me feeling disheartened. I believe that Dr. Sirius and his team had the responsibility to inform me clearly and transparently that my upcoming procedure would not be covered by my insurance. As a result, I was left feeling as if I did not matter to the practice, and I now have a new dentist who prioritizes open communication and always informs me if a procedure will be covered by my insurance before treatment. About an hour before my removal they bring in pills and say this is a pill form of anesthesia (that is not a thing). My body doesn't take medicine very well and I always need a high dose of any medication I take and after the first set of meds he gave me didn't work and I was still completely awake he brings in more. Was not told the name of anything but was told it's Anastasia in pill form. I was awake for all of it because I was not giving any form of Anastasia and was given sleeping medicine. I am on sleeping medicine because I have ADHD and it take forever for me to sleep at night. The dr that prescribes my sleeping medicine stopped it and told me it sounds like you where actually overdosed on what ever medication they gave you and now my body goes back into that state of shock when I take any form of sleeping medicin. I called about 4 days after the surgery saying sum is wrong and was guilt tripped for 45 minutes. I can't drink Gatorade with the stomach issues and GERD I have. I went to the hospital for throwing up for three days straight and popping my stitches and the dentist said drink Gatorade. It settles Your stomach because of the surgery drink it is. Explaining I can't drink dyed drinks of any kind and especially not red he just kept saying drink Gatorade. Trying to word it differently and doing anything I could go maybe get him to understand I can't he just kept talking over me. Also later on told me it was sleeping medicine I was given and not what I paid for. In the parking lot the day I got my tooth out the receptionist was very rough and mad my wife needed help and more gauze because I threw up and grabbed my face n jammed my jaw shut. When my wife talked to her to ask a question she walked away and wouldn't answer her question if they have a throw up bag for the ride home. Terrible place and terrible owner.

But I got a second opinion and that dentist, doing further tests, confirmed that the cavity could be filled. Left me wondering why this dentist did not do the additional tests, which consisted of an x-ray and a cold test - nothing fancy - before concluding that the tooth needed to be pulled and replaced with an implant.
