The following is an abbreviated story of the nightmare he put my girlfriend and I through and I anticipate he will be prosecuted by the Nevada State Contractors Board for illegally performing contracting work without a contractor's license. After researching multiple contractors, we chose Cabinets & More due to their great reviews and friendly demeanor. Daniel gave off the vibe that he cared about us and his work, and his goal was to transform our current house into our dream house. Daniel let us know that the entire job would take 6-weeks, but wanted to give us an estimate of 2-months in case there were delays. Shortly after the 8-month mark, we fired Cabinets & More due to their extremely slow construction process and poor construction work. Unfortunately, the nightmare is just beginning because we have had to hire a tile cleaner ($450), an electrician ($350), a roofer ($900), gone to Hope Depot/Lowe's multiple times (to get supplies and recuperate stolen tools) and recently interviewed other contractors to clean up the mess Cabinets & More made (it should be noted that the contractors will not touch certain items Cabinets & More completed and still came up with costs averaging around $35,000). This is just the tip of the iceberg too because he stole approximately $1,600 worth of our tools and ruined approximately $15,400 worth of our furniture (I say approximately because every day we keep finding items of ours he and his crew ruined and/or stole). Cabinets & More got the notice to proceed on June 25, 2018, however did not show up to do any work until June 28th. From there, they proceeded to demolish our entire downstairs in 3-days...then no one showed up to the house for 3-weeks. This raised a lot of red flags since the first month was already complete and all Cabinets & More had completed was 3-days of demolition work. However, Daniel seemed really nice and we wanted to help grow his business and even offered to introduce him to our friends if he did a good job. Unfortunately, this was just the beginning of all the problems we had with Cabinets & More and we learned Daniel would not take responsibility for anything and always threw others under the bus. Every day was a new excuse as to why nothing was getting completed. As the job continued, we kept asking Daniel why workers were not showing up. Excuses included not showing up for three weeks because they were getting permits (which they never got), not showing up for over a week because the foreman's truck was in the shop, not showing up for over a week because it was raining (this was a job that was 100% indoor), not showing up for a couple of weeks because of a break-up, not showing up for over a week because it was Chinese New Year, not answering the phone or returning messages because of sleeping pills or losing his phone (both happened multiple times and the sleeping pills excuse would be regarding messages sent between 1 PM - 5 PM), etc. He would pull on our heartstrings and even cry in front of us, however they were just crocodile tears because he is also the same person who tried to take our money and run at the end because he refused to take phone calls or text messages for multiple days until I threaten to sue him. On March 4, 2019, we fired Daniel and Cabinets & More and gave him a bill for all items stolen, ruined, unfinished, and incomplete. The final bill was for approximately $75,000, but I said I would work with him and only ask for half of my money back (approximately $45,000). After a few days, Daniel agreed and informed us he would pay us back. As I'm sure you already know, he did not pay us back and has been dodging phone calls and text messages sent out since. Daniel presents himself as a contractor, even saying he is, but when you dig a little deeper you will realize he is illegally practicing contracting without a contracting license. When we initially asked for his contracting license, he gave us a business license. All in all, we learned that Daniel is a narcissist and he cannot be trusted. Unfortunately, I am limited on how much I can write in this review, otherwise I would explain all of the items Cabinets & More incorrectly installed, never finished, and ruined. That being said, this Yelp page clearly has red flags because all of the reviews are either 5-star or 1-star...the 1-star reviews are real customers...the 5-star reviews are Daniel's friends. We are not the first people to get swindled by Cabinets & Moore, so please proceed with caution; and feel free to contact me if you have any additional questions regarding Cabinets & More.

I also made it clear that I wanted BULLNOSE not SQUARE edges to match my kitchen slabs. To my surprise, they showed up with square edges than wanted a lot more money to order the correct one that I originally ordered! They knew they had me over a barrel! They instructed me to pay their worker "Jose" for the installation of the cabinet doors and sink. Jose also told me he would be making cabinet boxes for the two drawers and installing the knobs and pulls for my cabinets. I Waited months for this and it never happened! Jose took one of my drawer faces to use to make the vanity boxes. He dropped it off two months later without telling me on my front doorstep scratched! I called and spoke to Loxie the wife of the owner Rich and explained my concerns. She assured me that "they would make it right and Rich would be out to install the pulls and knobs and to refinish the scratched vanity drawer face. Rich finally showed up after 7 weeks and installed the pulls and knobs and took measurements for my drawer boxes and kitchen drawer cabinet face. I received numerous promises from Loxie on when Rich would be returning to install the promised boxes and drawer faces. I travel 16 days a month or more and made numerous appointments with these incessant prevaricators to get this done and every time they blew me off after making appointments! Beware of these clowns as they don't do what they promise and they are completely unprofessional in dealing with them!

It was $2500. His excuse was that his family member is sick. I am sorry to hear that, but unfortunately, the family member was ill before you took the job. So if you can't do the job, don't take peoples money. As he never produced any of the site designs, he said he was going to, I offered to actually let him keep half the money because he did make a site visit and do one phone call with Us. The phone call he did with us was awful. The measurements were all wrong, he didn't know how to use the computer, he couldn't use even his own software. Regardless, I gave him one week to return half of our money we had given him since he never gave us any product. He refused and ghosted us. I'm really upset because I liked him a lot. We thought he would do a good job. But you can't take peoples money and then blame you're not doing the work on sick family members. Just don't take the job. Now I I'm in the middle of dealing with reporting him to the contractors board and dealing with Nevada licensing. All of this could have easily resolved if he either did the work he said was going to work to do or refunded us if he was unable to do the work. Either way would've been fine with us. After a miserable experience with insurance and multiple contractors, Tomer and the We Build It team saved the day...hell, saved the year for me! Amazing quality work, excellent communication and true partnership with me. I couldn't be happier. The Details: I returned home from a two week business trip to find a small puddle on my kitchen floor. I mopped it up and went to bed, only to find the same puddle there in the morning. I realized there may be a leak and called my insurance company (Liberty Mutual). Their process ensued, which resulted in an inspection, a remediation company with jackhammers, industrial fans and dehumidifiers - and all of the sudden my entire lower half of a kitchen needed replacement. I had never really been through this type of process before, and so I trusted my insurance company to guide me through. Liberty Mutual was awful by the way, but that's mostly a different story for a different review. The mitigation company was fine and I was interested in using them to do the repair, but they actually said they wouldn't because they wouldn't deal with Liberty Mutual's process for estimation and payout - a bleak sign of things to come. After remediation, Liberty Mutual instead sent a different contractor to do an estimate for the repair, which they used to calculate my claim amount. This was all fine with me and I figured I'd just use that company which did the estimate to also do the repair. But when it came time to do things like materials selection, that contractor refused, and said I need to pay a 40% non-refundable deposit before they'll work with me at all on those topics. They essentially positioned themselves to give me whatever materials, colors etc benefitted them for whatever reason vs what I preferred to have in my kitchen. That is basically how scams work, so I declined to work with them and at that point was out on my own looking for a contractor to do the repairs, hopefully within the budget that liberty Mutual paid out to me. That process was arduous and frustrating. I went through 3 different contractors who either wouldn't work with me on options and pricing before signing and paying a substantial deposit (again, scam) or who wouldn't deal with it at all because they knew that Liberty Mutual left significant items out of the estimate - and that Liberty Mutual is impossible to deal with on supplementing the payout as needed. Then finally I contacted We Build It, and sorry if this seems hyperbolic but they completely changed everything. Tomer was so incredibly patient with me at explaining options and listening to what I wanted in my kitchen. He was extremely flexible on materials acquisition, and gave me a lot of useful information on things that Liberty Mutual left out of the original payout. As important as anything, he treated me like a partner and truly cared that we got to the right outcomes. I was even able to use his inputs to successfully battle with Liberty Mutual to pay the real cost for items they left out. And he was honest - there was nothing overly inflated, but finally I got information that was accurate and fair. Finally, after 7 months at this point without a kitchen, we were able to get the work done. The quality and care his team took were top-class. I now finally have a kitchen, and again sorry to sound dramatic, a normal life and happy home once again. I would recommend We Build It to anyone in Las Vegas who needs an honest and reliable contractor who will ensure the project is done right. Tomer is a gem of a person and a great professional. I have some other work that I would like to do in my house over the next few years, and Tomer will be my first and hopefully only call as I look for a contractor.
