If you're looking for a high quality tasting room on sixty acres of beautiful country in Maine, this is your place. If you think cider is too saccharine sweet and simple, this is your place. If you don't want cider, and instead prefer high end custom, unique cocktails, this is your place. If you don't want cider, cocktails or wine, but beer, this is your place. If you want a staff that isn't just pulling taps but can give you context and history of your curated choice, this is your place. If you want a unique getaway, close to but just far enough outside Portland it's not overrun, this is your place. In short, if you like high quality beverages served by a high quality staff in a high quality venue, this is your place. There's a reason that the majority of the ratings are five stars. It's that good.

Been years awaiting this trip to Absolum cider and despite the 5 hr trek, it was worth the drive. My wife and I are huge cider fans, and stop in at cideries whenever given the chance. Absolum is in our top 3. From the working farm ambiance, to the delicious cideries, full bar of unique liquors and variety of beers and wined this was everything we couldve wanted and more. Looking forward to cracking our souvenir bottle on a special occasion!

Bucolic setting with tons of open space, a great barn with seating and friendly chickens

Go out of your way to get here. There literally is something for everyone. We met the owners when we got here and learned about their beautiful place. They are so knowledgeable about ciders, beers and can make a mean mixed drink! We will be back and already making plans to. By far one of my favorite places in central Maine!!

Amazing place with great cocktails, cider and more. They are dog friendly and super nice. Highly recommend, you must stop here if you're in the Winthrop area!

Paradise found! And even though I'm tired of saying it, what took me so long to get here?! Amazing owners, fermentors, serving succulent ciders with varieties and mixtures (wines, etc.) in a pastoral rustic, yet comfy, setting. The small beer list is also surprisingly interesting. But then they also have local charcuterie available in their deli case to go or eat in. I looked at the prices and thought it looked like Portland menu; however, he proceded to drop off the ENTIRE local sausages, wheels of cheese, and loaves of bread on our live edge table!! Gave us knives and said "enjoy, dig in." Wow. But then he told us we are welcome to bring our own food for outdoor picnics. And then we could bring our dogs. And then food trucks also visit regularly. And there are firepits. The entire campus is heated by a wood boiler from scavenged downed wood, too. Oh boy, we are going to spend some time here!

Hidden rustic gem with a large amount of inside and outside space. Excellent selection of unique home-brewed ciders that are amazing! They additionally have a large selection of charcuterie platters, wine, specialty ice ciders, and beers on tap. If you're a cider lover you MUST try this place!

It's very much off the beaten path but an absolute worthy spot of taking a detour for! The dirt roads were very well maintained though I must say. Once you arrive they have a giant parking lot and then once inside you step into a beautifully designed rustic space. If the weather is nice they have some absolutely stunning views you can take in outside while enjoying your beverage. During our visit, I will say a large portion of the space was in use for a party/event. Despite this the staff were very warm and welcoming to our party and even tried to create a private lounge like space for us. I very much appreciated the effort they put to make us feel welcome. I wish the weather would have been a little nicer to enjoy outside! I got their vanilla hard cider while my wife got their blueberry hard cider. Both were phenomenal. They also offer flights for only $10 and even have suggestions for some mixing of ciders including a fan favorite mix of blueberry and maple to create a blueberry pancake. I have had this blend previously and it is amazing! A spot worth adding to your list to visit for the breath-taking views and delicious drinks!

You can enjoy it from the outdoor seating as well. There is decent parking here as well, close to the building, keep in mind it's not paved, it's a lot of crushed gravel, just in case you have a walker, wheelchair or are pushing/pulling a cart (like we were). The team working the day/night, were all sooo nice and friendly. They were customer focused and just seemed to be good hardworking people. We loved our interactions with them. So attentive and caring. The event we went to, provided a grazing charcuterie board, which basically covered the entire bar counter. Sweet and savory options...everything was delicious. Fresh fruits, fresh cheeses, mini grilled cheeses with little cups of tomato soup...amazing! The ceremony area was very simple and quaint. Plenty of room for about 50-70 people. I would highly recommend this location for a visit for lunch, or brunch or an event. They are reasonable priced with many package options for a gathering.

Thankfully we made it for their last open weekend for 2021! Service was extremely friendly - and we learned a ton about the winery and their practices. My husband listened to a podcast about the winery (which is why we'd wanted to visit), and the owner used to plow only using a horse. They have since switched to more modern ways - but I love that their wines are all-natural and with as minimal intervention as possible. The wines themselves are fantastic!! We had a 1/2 pour of each of the six offerings (sparkling white morphos, sparkling rose morphos, Chardonnay, cab franc, merlot and a cider) and I truly was surprised to find they are all GREAT!!! The sparkling white and Chardonnay were my favorites, but the reds were nice and dry and full of flavor. The cider was also dry and tart - it is lovely! The rose morphos was a bit too sweet for me, but tasty nonetheless! We will absolutely be back next time we are in the area!

They partnered up with Mill Cove Baking and The Cheese Shop of Portland to put together these little wine, cheese, and cracker pairing care packages. I got one this weekend: the Piquenique (their strawberry rhubarb wine -- probably one of my favorite drinks in the state of Maine; it legit tastes like pie!) with goat cheese and salt crackers. I placed my order online obscenely late at night, and it was delivered directly to my door the next afternoon. I mean, that's pretty fantastic. It was a completely seamless transaction from the moment I clicked on their website to the brown bag on my porch! Thank you for being so innovative and adaptive during these times! I never thought we'd live in a day and age where Maine was fine with business owners coming to your house to drop off alcohol, but here we are and I'm all about it!
