Came for a vet friends funeral last month. Ended up staying at this owners Air B&B. The winery was lovely and we got a personal invite to make a reservation and bring down my friends. We had the best time listening to live music and enjoying seeing eachother...and I played corn hole with my son. Kids can run around the grass freely under the moonlight. The atmosphere was lovely on the porch on this particular summer evening. I took my daughter so we could try the Girl Dinner which looked so cute online. Upon arriving I was torn between that and the filet, asparagus and roasted potatoes. In the end I decided to bite the bullet and spend $56 on that since it sounded delicious. Boy what a mistake. My medium well done steak was well done. The asparagus was sub par and there were 4 tiny roasted potato pieces as well as pickled mushrooms. Everything was so dry! I asked for some bleu cheese dressing but all they had were crumbles. I asked for a soda to wash it down. The water was warm. I never got the soda and proceeded to eat the meal because I paid almost $60 for it! My daughter's girl dinner was cute with a tiny salad, Alfredo, a cosmo and tomato mozarella in small martini glasses. She ate it all and was still hungry. When offered dessert at $12 we opted to stop for a huge ice cream on the way home. Am I glad I tried it? Yes. Would I ever have a need to return with Sedgley Place down the street? What a beautiful day! A few weeks ago, I came out to participate in the 2025 harvest. My first. This will now be a fall ritual. It was so fun. Really has a, "we all one small family" vibe. We were here for a wedding this fall and what an amazing "hidden" gem!! The property is functional and beautiful. The sunset behind the main building/restaurant is a beautiful sight. You can enjoy it from the outdoor seating as well. There is decent parking here as well, close to the building, keep in mind it's not paved, it's a lot of crushed gravel, just in case you have a walker, wheelchair or are pushing/pulling a cart (like we were). The team working the day/night, were all sooo nice and friendly. They were customer focused and just seemed to be good hardworking people. We loved our interactions with them. So attentive and caring. The event we went to, provided a grazing charcuterie board, which basically covered the entire bar counter. Sweet and savory options...everything was delicious. Fresh fruits, fresh cheeses, mini grilled cheeses with little cups of tomato soup...amazing! The ceremony area was very simple and quaint. Plenty of room for about 50-70 people. I would highly recommend this location for a visit for lunch, or brunch or an event. They are reasonable priced with many package options for a gathering. read more

Comedy dinner was advertised as 1 1/2 hour dinner followed by 2 hours of comedy show meal was sub par. When we arrived there were bread plates on table but removed before dinner was served. Never got bread, plates were for show only. Advertised as a 22% gratuity but when we received the check there was a 22% "event charge" and not a gratuity. This place is advertised as a jewel of a restaurant. I would have to say it's more of a "diamond in the rough". I decided to treat my wife to a nice dinner on this 2026 Easter Sunday. . After searching the area for a place that promised "fine dining," I decided on a venue that we'd not tried before, a place in Leeds, Maine called Willows Awake. After eating there, I would rename it "Willows Asleep at the Wheel." The food offered in their Easter buffet was slightly better than cafeteria food, and I have eaten at some Highway truck stops that were better. When we went to serve ourselves, 2 of the food trays were completely empty. No one seemed to be policing the food area. Food was room temperature and spilled food and liquids were scattered about. My wife and I both ordered a glass of Moscato wine which was $20.00, and each glass had maybe 4 ounces in it. When we went to get dessert, one tray was completely empty and the remaining 3 were pretty much gone. The rolls were store bought and cold. We had to ask for butter since there was none. The green beans appeared to be from a can, and the "shrimp shooters" listed on the menu consisted of the frozen shrimp that comes in a "ring" from a Supermarket. These were not "shrimp shooters".The soup was tasty but cold. No spoons were at our table, and when my wife went back to the food area to find one, only one remained. The bill came to $195.00, ( that included a $33.00 gratuity charge) that would have been entirely acceptable, if what we experienced was truly "fine gourmet dining" as advertised, and if our waitress had been more attentive to our table rather than clearing off tables from previous customer. We won't be returning again, and I certainly don't recommend it to anyone else. read more

I visited here last night for a friends birthday. It is a little out of the way, but we wanted to try a winery that was actually in Maine. We got a wine tasting and the price was great but the wine was just okay. The view is pretty and we had dinner in spot that was a big fancy barn. Next time I would sit outside so I could get in more of the view. The food was a little overpriced for what you got. The scallop dish was okay but it looked more like an appetizer then a meal. The lobster pizza was our favorite. My friend is a vegetarian and their weren't many options for her to choose from. The service was friendly. Overall a decent meal but not my favorite. read more

Very cute and cozy spot hidden away! The sign is faded so you have to really pay attention! The GPS will have you in the middle of the street but go a little further and there will be a sign to the right that says to turn left. It'll be the first turn on the left and you drive down a dirt road! Very calming ambiance! read more

This was our third or fourth time here, but first time this summer, and it consistently displays the same strengths and weaknesses. Some of the food is delicious! But some of it is not so great. Since my last time here, the menu has been revamped and I would say not for the better. The service and speed is really the biggest downside. They are always busy when I go, so that is one factor, but the restaurant does not seem well organized. The fondue was our favorite last summer, but this summer tasted like warm cream cheese, was clumpy, and was served with green beans and peppers (which we found to be a weird combo). Last year the grapes and crisp crackers were great pairings. That dish definitely took a nose dive in quality and presentation. The seafood fettuccine, however, was delicious and is the only reason I would ever consider going back. The salad was also fresh and the dressing was nice, but that's the end of the positive aspects of our experience. Service was incredibly slow. We put in our reservation notes that we were seeing the play (held right at the winery) afterwards, as were several other parties near us, and it should have been enough time to have dinner before the show. It seems like the restaurant totally didn't think of that as even a possibility because all three tables near us were pressed to try to finish and get to the show. The manager seemed aware that there were intense delays occurring but did absolutely nothing about it. The weirdest past was that the delays didn't seem to be from the kitchen alone, which would have been more understandable. Our waitress had no nearby tables and she never came by except when coming directly to take our order or bring us our drinks, so we couldn't ever get her attention. She came to take our drink order after we sat waiting for 20 minutes, so we ordered everything at once. Our waitress seemed totally unaware that we had a hard stop at 7:30, as though maybe the hostess and waitresses were not in communication at all. Why have a space to write notes about a reservation if they're going to be completely ignored? We did tell her ourselves once we realized, but the damage was already done and we had only 20 minutes to gobble down our food before the show started, so we really weren't able to enjoy it. The person bringing out food also tried to bring our food to another table and did this for other orders too, as if the tables weren't numbered or they didn't know how to coordinate anything. None of these issues occurred last year when we had dinner several times before a TAM show, so this establishment seems to be going downhill. read more

My wife and I visited your place last Saturday with high expectations based upon reviews. We were celebrating her upcoming birthday a few days early. Our reservation was for 6pm and got there about 15-20 minutes early. It didn't take long to realize based on our server that she was jumping through hoops for the large party tables and giving very to little attention to our table. We were given 2 small glasses of water and my glass of red wine was barely more than a shot. People kept walking past our empty water glasses for over an hour and we finally had to ask for more water. It took almost 2 hours before our dinner was served and our waitress barely took the time to see of we were enjoying our meal etc. The worst part about our visit was the pretentiousness and snooty attitudes of about everybody in that place including the patrons . I've sat with about the best in my life so far and never felt less than but this past Saturday was about the worst case scenario for service and attitudes. Next time I want good service and food I won't be going to Willows Winery. read more

A new addition to the Central Maine area. Having moved from California, I find this winery and restaurant to be quite a gem. The restaurant is quaint with a nice view of the Vineyard. Plenty of seating outdoors with heaters. Wine was impressive and the dinner was delicious. In addition, it's a pleasure to have such wonderful service. A must try! Be sure to make a reservation. This has become one of my favorite restaurants. The atmosphere is very well done, casual and simple, but classy. The tables are well separated. The staff is exceptionally friendly. The food is also very good with frequent changes and lots of interesting twists. The menu does not have a lot of items listed, but there is usually a fish and vegetarian option on the list. The wine list has their locally made wines and a few others. The only things holding us back from 5 stars are that we occasionally get tough meat, their is a wide variety of portion sizes, so you cannot be sure what you are going to get, the price is a bit high for this area, and while the service is very friendly and helpful it is not at the 5 star level. Regardless, this is definitely worth a visit. read more

Also, they sell bottles of wine if you go during the day, and the airBNB is a very comfortable place to stay. My Hubs and I stumbled on this gem over a year ago when we drove by and saw the sign winery (and immediately turned around and drove down the long driveway through the gorgeous vineyard!) We've visited many times since and never had a less-than-stellar experience. The wines are top notch with Princess and Spring Peeper being my favorites -I always bring home several bottles of each! The food is fabulous, from the burgers to the fine dining entrees. My Hubs and I are particularly fond of their monthly four-course Wine Maker Dinners where you sit back, get served scrumptious courses, each paired with the perfect wines, and hear friendly stories about the wine, the wine makers, the business and the owners. The service is amazing with staff who always make you feel like a friend. The seating options include comfortable inside rooms and when weather-friendly, a gorgeous outside option overlooking the beautiful vineyards. read more

There was one young girl who had been working at the winery since they opened and was super, gave us great insight on the wine and about winery. This experience was phenomenal. The food, the staff, the wine, and the atmosphere all came together for a beautiful day. We began with food and drinks on the deck, with a a group of 10 people. Each of us ordered food and were so impressed by both the service and the quality. The server came out to tell our party about the wine choices, all of which were delicious. My husband and I went here last night for out first date night in over a year and it was so disappointing. The food was so awful, starting with the fondue which is not a fondue at all but rather a warm bland fluffy cheese spread. We also tried the meatballs which were also bland and dry and served in what tasted like canned tomato sauce with no seasoning. the French onion soup was lack luster and the chicken was over cooked. This restaurant was amazing. Every single element was perfect and I couldn't critique one thing. Ambience was nice as we sat on a farmers porch in the back overlooking the vineyards. Staff was all very kind and accommodating. Obviously the most important aspect would be the food which was amazing. My girlfriend and I shared a salmon board and got our own entree and not one dish was short of flawless. Even though this is a new restaurant, there is no excuse for the poor service and food presented. We took my wife's mother there for her birthday. They seated us inside even though the hostess had promised outdoor seating when the reservation was made. The server spilled a tray full of water across our table, upon being seated. Dirty dishes were not cleared from the table throughout the service, even though the waitress and hostess repeatedly passed our table empty handed. The wrong order was brought to my daughter, and when they tried to rectify it, what was brought was over cooked. My Pinot noir was served in a glass covered in water drops as if it came straight from the dishwasher without being dried, and to make it worse it was bubbling like a champagne. The entrees were ridiculously small, and the "Sirloin" tasted like an over cooked London broil. They never offered a desert or acknowledgement of the birthday girl as discussed when we made the reservation. The check was even messed up 3 times. I haven't listed half the problems with this dinner, and the dinner for 2 cost over 100 dollars. This is the first time I have felt the need to write a bad review, but this performance was pathetic. Nice venue with a nice server. Went for Valentines Day. The food was horrible, and the drinks were worse. Complained several times to our server who couldn't get the attention of the owners. Ordered prime rib medium rare which came out looking like well done pot roast The drinks were served in glasses that were half full. First visit. Went past the entrance because the sign is very faded. Once back on track the access to the lovely building is right now, because of the weird winter weather, rutted and pitted with craters. The inside of the building is very nicely done. High ceilings, pretty chandeliers, nice windows and well arranged seating. We were here for a New Year's/Birthday brunch. Our server was friendly and pleasant. Food presentation was pleasing to the eye. It would be nice if they would pace service to allow for us to finish the appetizers before serving the main course. We were still working on the meatballs and Hungarian mushroom soup when the breakfast tacos and eggs benedict were served. For the most part the food wasn't hot and the eggs with the benedict were way overdone to the almost hard-boiled stage. We went for Sunday brunch. The tasting platter had a great variety of everything you'd want for sweet and savory. The Bloody Mary's and mimosas were perfect.
