I'm writing to share a disappointing experience with a dealership where I purchased a vehicle that arrived with several unresolved issues that were not properly addressed prior to the sale. Immediately after purchase, I encountered multiple problems. The key fob had a dead battery, and the TPMS light was illuminated due to tire-related issues. These concerns were apparent before I even had time to familiarize myself with the vehicle--there was a non-matching spare tire stored in the trunk, and the vehicle did not include a jack. In addition, within two days, a further issue arose with the backup sensors. I contacted the dealership regarding this matter, and the problem was acknowledged only after the fact. The interior also had an obvious odor of dog, and the vehicle was delivered with approximately two-thirds of a tank of gas. I also found the sales process, particularly the conduct of the salesman (TJ), to be unprofessional. Despite my credit union verifying the transaction and providing payment that was mailed the next day, the salesman's attitude made the process feel reluctant and discourteous. Overall, the dealership provided poor service and left me responsible for addressing problems that should have been corrected or disclosed prior to purchase. read more

I began communicating with TJ Potts of Absolute Auto Center regarding the purchase of a 2013 Ford F-150. During our communications, Mr. Potts represented that the truck was in great condition, had a "super nice interior," and that despite prior accidents, "you couldn't even tell" the vehicle had been involved in four minor-to-moderate accidents. The online listing also advertised the vehicle as a "non-smoker vehicle." Based on these representations, I paid a $500 deposit to secure the truck while paperwork was being completed. During the process, I became uncomfortable with requests to send additional funds without signed paperwork or clear shipping arrangements, so I decided to personally inspect the truck before completing the purchase. I traveled from Columbus, Ohio to Nashville, Tennessee to inspect the vehicle in person. Upon arrival, I immediately discovered a strong cigarette smoke odor throughout the truck, significant dents and scratches on the right side of the vehicle, and a large gash in the sidewall of one tire. These defects were not disclosed prior to my trip and directly contradicted the representations made to me. After confronting the dealership about these issues, I was initially told my deposit would be refunded if I chose not to purchase the truck. However, after declining to proceed with the purchase due to the undisclosed defects and lack of trust in the dealership, the dealership refused to return my $500 deposit. This has very easily been the worst experience as a customer I have ever had. February 5th, I went in to buy a car, because my father, Andy Ingram, had bought most of his cars through them and did right by him, but apparently after my father passed, they stopped caring entirely. After test driving a few cars, I decided on a 2018 Dodge Charger with a little over 40,000 miles on it. I paid 22,500 in CASH, under the pretense that they would fix the backup camera that wasn't working. I took a day off work thinking that I could get it resolved that day, but little did I know it would be over a month before I got my car back. They put me in 3 different "loaner" cars. The first one I had a week before they said they had fixed my car. Upon picking up my car, not only was the backup camera not fixed, but somehow they had disconnected the wiring for my blinker, and my dash said "service electronic stability control." At this point, I was obviously upset, and the general manager Lou (a complete clown) legitimately started pointing and laughing at me through the glass window while I was expressing my concerns to another customer. As if ALL OF THIS WASNT ENOUGH, the next loaner car they put me in had every single light lit up on the dash. ABS off, traction control off, brake light, etc. (pictures in comments) Because of work and their hours, it was a full week until I was able to bring that piece of garbage back up to get a suitable vehicle. Fast forward to today. It has now been over a month since dropping my car off, and today I received texts saying that if I didn't return my loaner vehicle within 24 hours, they would report the vehicle stolen, AND I would have to pay a daily rental fee. Make that make sense. You're reporting the car stolen, but I'm PAYING for it? Like I said, everyone who works here is an absolute fucking clown and a joke. When they think you're on the fence about buying a car, they have a guy come in and say they have cash to buy it right then to pressure you to take the offer. The first time in 2021, I really wanted the car and I was satisfied with my rate and purchase. I go back today as a reoccurring customer and the whole environment was completely different and they had the SAME GUY come in, that did in 2021, and say he wanted to buy the car and pay cash trying to hustle us into buying the car we were looking at at a ridiculous rate! Also, there was proof in the coolant overfill that the car had a blown head gasket before and they played dumb saying they had a crappy mechanic and would flush the lines and refill it. I'm not buying a car when they don't even trust their mechanics! I DO NOT recommend Absolute Auto on Broad St in Murfreesboro!!! read more

There's a good reason people don't like used car businesses. Of course the buying process was smooth but that's where the easy stuff stopped. Few weird things popped up, contacted the dealer to check some dash lights but no resolve. Decided to take the SUV to the make dealership for a full diagnostics 4 months after purchase and there was a laundry list of issues (tie rods, axle, breaks, drive belts all needed replacing including a sedan key fob programmed in. Lazy work on the dealers part. On top of this, I had requested the $1000 GAP be refunded because I planned to refinance and get a better rate. I was told this process takes 4-7 weeks. At week 8, after having been put on hold for 30+ minutes any time I called and trying by multiple times to speak to someone about this, I went to the shop and spoke to the manager Lou who stated Absolute hadn't received the check. The insurance company stated Absolute had cleared the check 4 weeks prior to so I was lied to. On the 10th week after I canceled the GAP they said they mailed the check to the lender (which I am still waiting on). Dealerships make money on the GAP and interest rates, hence the unnecessary delays. Needless to say they fit the stereotype. read more

I purchased a 2020 Toyota Corolla from this company more than a month ago. I traded in my 2017 Ford Focus. All was very nice until I tried to get all of my paperwork. I was told twice that I would get my paperwork so I could permanently transfer my tags. That did not happen. I called Latef today and threatened to sue the company if I did not get all of my paperwork. Do not trust what Anna tells you because she will not do what she promises. My car was financed through Capital One Auto and that was a joke. I will payoff Capital One and refinance through my local credit union at the same rate. I cannot recommend this company. I just returned from the dealership and got my permanent registration. I was surprised when I was given the second key. When I made the purchase I was told there was only one key and that it would costs me $335 to have a second key made. Apparently this dealer held on to one key in case it had to come and repossess the car. However, that is not what I was told. I am 75 and I don't like to be lied to. read more

My wife and I came in on Saturday morning and this was one of the best experiences I've had buying a car. The office was pristine, everyone was friendly and professional, and the cars on the lot are fantastic. If i could give zero stars, i would. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE!!!! i bought a 2012 Jeep Patriot from them and the next day the check engine light came on. They said they would fix the issue, my engine light stayed off for two weeks thats it and then they said they " couldn't do anything and had no record of me buying my car" its been a year and a half of constantly taking my jeep to get fixed. I understand normal " wear and tear" but i have replaced my radiator, both 02 sensor, a catalytic converter, manifold gasket, alternator, battery, fuel pump and still the light comes back on every other month!!! Fucking ridiculous. My friend also bought a car there and the engine blew within a month and they did nothing. Absolutely stay away from this " scam " of a fucking place. read more

Awful communication, obviously the market isn't in favor of the buyer right now but it took 20 questions to get a straight answer and then after setting up a multi hour trip to come buy a car and asking to be notified if anything changed, the car sold etc, they didn't contact at all and I had to reach out and ask what happened to the listing and 7 hours later they're like oh yeah it sold. My only critique is the attitude Latef had when exclaiming to me that I was ineligible to purchase a vehicle. My annoyance is I stated up front that I was in the process of rebuilding my credit, yet I was reassured to apply. He sold me on the "pre-approval" stick which is practically an application for credit. This means it is a hard inquiry against your score. That drops your score significantly. Terrible do not buy anything from this dealership!!! Another sleezy dishonest dealership!! BEWARE of this place go elsewhere. My son bought a 2017 Nissan Altima from this place against my better judgement and he has had nothing but ISSUES with it since. And of course Absolute Auto is not willing to assist him with any of the issues he has had. After owning the car for 3 days he had transmission issues. Luckily Nissan was willing to work with him under a warranty. When he test drove it he said it drove good. However within days of having it the engine light came on when he brought it back to Absolute all they did was reset the engine light and told him if the issue came back to contact Nissan? Why would they reset the light and not look into the issue?? Sleezy if you ask me. This car has already left my 22 yr old son and my 4 month old grandson on the side of the road, might I add he's had it less than 5 months. Since having this car my son has had to have brakes, rotors, work on the passenger seat-belt, tires, transmission work done and there's no telling what this most recent issue is related to. These guys are the typical slimy stereotypical slimy salesmen don't trust anything they tell you. Like I said go elsewhere!! read more

Saw a car that was listed that we were interested on. Our salesperson who helped us showed us the car, and told us someone else was interested in the car so we were on a time limit. We noticed that the features in the car that were listed online were not on the car. We got into the car and it would not start. The car had accidents before according to a report we checked, and when I asked the salesman, he said there were no accidents. I told him we saw the report, and he confirmed there werebut they were minor. After a while, we decided that if this car is not what we thought online and that it was hassle just to start it then it was not worth the trouble. Guy kept insisting to drive the car that had difficulty starting. If another person was interested, then there would have been no issue if we let the other guy take the car, but the guy kept on pressuring us. We left because we were getting vibes that this was not the car for us and a dishonest salesman is never good. read more

Having taken lots of time to test drive wranglers, I had unfortunately met a lot of sharky sales people. That was NOT the case at Absolute Auto, these guys are STELLAR. Never made me feel pressured, and they let me take my time in looking over, weighing options and test driving. Jamie (salesperson I worked with) glady came in early so that I could take the jeep and have it looked over by an outside mechanic. After that, he made all the fixes that I requested without hesitation. Worked with me on the price, and helped me understand all options I had. Sami then stayed well after closing time so that I could pick up the jeep after I was able to get off work. With as fast as wranglers turn around at dealers, these guys were patient, flexible and an absolute pleasure to work with. BE CAREFUL when buying from Latef. I looked at all the reviews online too before going to this place and they were all good. So naturally, I arrive looking to buy a car they had posted on auto trader. It drive great and was in nice condition--so it seemed. I requested new brakes and rotors. Latef had his people put new brakes on this car and that is how I am confident that this is just another one of those sleezy car lots despite all of his google reviews. I bought the car as is (because they wanted over $4k for an extended warranty). I took my car In for an oil change and the guy changing my oil asks me if i knew about all of the rust to the body of the car. He recommended i take it back and get rid of the car asap. I take it to get inspected and they inform me that the transmission mounts and motor mounts were substantially rusted and this car would be unsafe to drive in the 10k miles. If Absolute Auto put new brakes on this car-- there is no way they did not know this was here! I take the car home to my dad to look at it and he could not even put a floor jack under the car because of all the rust. Latef acted like he wanted to help when i came back to the lot. But he wanted me to leave it with him and wanted my formal inspection report and suggested i use uber until they determine a solution. I would not recommend doing business with this car lot. Many of their vehicles are older and Latef pressured me to write a review before i even signed any paperwork! I wonder how many other people wish they would have waited to write their review because what they thought was a good purchase ended up being bad news. Beware. I bet I am not the first one this has happened with. Clearly a dishonest business. But i guess you really cannot expect much else from a car lot like this. Go somewhere else. read more

I saw a car online that I liked and it was at this dealership. I do not live in the area, but I was going to be in Murfreesboro one day and thought I'd make an appointment to see the car. I arrived a little late due to my almost 2 hour drive and traffic being very heavy (I text them telling them of my late arrival). I told them I was there for an appointment when I walked in. No one introduced themselves; a man barked orders to another man to bring the car I was interested in around. Once the car was outside the door, the guy poked his head out the door and said if you would like to test drive it, we need a copy of your ID. Never did the salesman come outside and review the car with my husband and myself. We looked over the car and noticed a bunch of body damage. The pictures online showed no damage, the person I spoke to three days prior when making the appointment did not mention any damage, and the two texts I received confirming my appointment said nothing about there being new damage to the car. I was looking at an expensive car and damage should have been either repaired and/or relayed to me before I arrived or at the very least he could have said to us that something happened and they are sorry. After seeing the damage I went inside and told the guy about it. He sniped, they were aware and haven't taken it to the shop yet. My husband and myself told them we were not interested and left. I was extremely disappointed with there service and professionalism. I would not recommend. read more

We were ​even able to take our favorite to a mechanic for review. We concluded on ​an F150 ​​& the purchase went smoothly. If you do​n'​t care to read ​the ​details of our disappointing post-sale experience-the synopsis is do NOT agree to work being done to your vehicle post purchase. They will NOT call you back (even if they promise they will)​, they will NOT email you back (even when they ​verbally ​confirm they are receiving ​your emails​)​, th​ey will tell you they have​ done things they have not, etc. ​ In order not to defame anyone, I ​chose not​ to​ include names​ my review. If A​A chooses to contest the information, I will then be happy to provide names, dates, email threads, text​s ​& call records. ​ Our contract read the front windshield be replaced, the back shield weather stripping be replaced ​& a missing cup holder be replaced. We purchased the vehicle on a Fri​.​ ​& were promised the ​truck would be ready for pick u​p on ​Mon​.​ (3 days later - which I thought was a bit fast so inquired about the turn around ​- I ​was assured "it's no problem-I've got a guy, it will be done​​")*Please note-we live in Chattanooga, TN​ so made a special trip to Murfreesboro​ (M'boro)​ to initially look at the vehicle ​&would be returning the following Mon​.​ for pick up of the truck* Mon​.​ arrives ​& we find the truck NOT ready for pick up. -Why did they not give us a simple call Monday morning letting us know the truck would not be ready? My husband opted to take the truck back to Chattanooga with him (without the problems addressed) as we paid cash for the truck and we needed a vehicle to drive. The best customer service practice would have been to offer gas compensation for ​our​ return to M​'bor​o the following Fri. However, I was told "we're in the car business not the gas business" After a week of back ​& forth we were told we would be compensated for gas ​& it would come out of the salesman's paycheck(​as he promised us the ​work would be done​) When I called to confirm time/date for drop off​, ​I was told th​at in fact they ​would NOT be compensating us for gas ​& I should gather proposals from a mechanic in Chattanooga to​ complete the repairs. I used a day off of work to ​o​btain quotes from multiple locations. After ​submitting quotes ​to A​A ​they said ​​​there was no way they were going to pay ​those prices ​​​​NOR were they going to compensate us in ANY way for us to drive back to M​'boro for them to complete the work.​ ​After much back ​& forth we agreed that A​A ​would mail the cup-holder& a check for $350 (to complete the work in Chattanooga (​note ​$350 was not enough to cover all expenses but we were ready to be done with the situation) From purchase, the issue was not resolved for TWO months. I was passed between employees, all of them telling me different things, I was contacted once by their office during the entire debacle- after having​ ​let them know my lawyer would be in touch. I am by no means an "I'll call my lawyer" type of person but please note -we purchased the vehicle 6/23, they cashed our ​​check 6/26, on 7/27 I was told our compensation check had been mailed ​& the cup-holder would be mailed separately​- o​n 8/1 nothing had arrived via USPS so I again called to follow up ​& was told the cup-holder ​&the check​​ would be placed in the mail that day....on 8/8 ​nothing had arrived. During the ​1 call I received from ​AA​, the manager admitted the cup-holder was never mailed b​/c​ they never had it!!! He also stated he​​ never agreed to the $350 + cup-holder (​an alternative employee ​promised ​the ​arrangement​ ​had ​been​​​ approved by the manager) He concluded our conversation by saying he would send a check for $350 ​& I could find a cup-holder on ​E​-bay. ​​I would not trust these individuals again. read more
