The young lady was very nice, checking over the unit, cleaning in the filter area(where we had already cleaned). She then vaccumned out the drainage hose outside. She was here less than an hour and presented us a bill for $346!!! BEWARE! I refused to pay such a ridiculous amount and after listening to the service manager explain to me why this fee was appropriate for 15+ minutes, he reduced our charge to the original $89. At no point in the call were we told if the service tech proceeded cleaning the unit that there would be an additional $245 charge! I DO NOT recommend this company at all! The only positive note I could add is that the employee i talked with originally and the service tech were very polite. UNBELIEVABLE that this company conducts business this way!

When he left, about an hour later, I noticed there was uncooled humid air blowing from the upstairs unit. The outdoor unit's fan was turning. He called to ask about it. He had just left and said all was well. Then he comes back to say that nothing was wrong with it, but that it needed time to cool down since it was shut off, which does not make any sense because that was the first unit to be worked on, and therefore it was turned on first, and my other two units were blowing cold air. Ever since that day, the upstairs unit has failed to maintain the temperature we set it at, and it did NOT have a problem before the visit. Today I got home from picking up my daughter from Youth group, and you will never guess what is happening!! The upstairs unit is not cooling at all!! My kids have school tomorrow, and we are having to move them to sleep in the basement bedroom. I know things happen, but tell me how I can have maintenance come out, say it is good, then it immediately stop working the same day, he comes out later the same day, actually gets it going, and now, even after it was cleared by your tech, how can it be not working now??? Are you hiring technicians to create jobs for you by sabotaging units?? Not to mention I paid $2000 for having accepted part of his spiel. So now I am out $2000 and your free maintenance is costing me another visit?!?!

Cleaning up after a job (after 2 decades of working for GE myself) is a pet peeve of mine. These guys cleaned up their own mess as well as other stuff they weren't responsible for...NO KIDDING. I cant speak for the long term, but can tell you that these are my guys for the foreseeable future. NOTE: I got a lot of quotes. 8 of them were a $1000-$1500 higher than what I ended up paying (3 were weirdly less...Fly-by-night looking guys providing hand written notes as quotes...avoid them. Likely stolen units off construction sites) ONE LAST THING: Don't listen to that fool who hasn't actually done any business with ACS but gave them a one star for a traffic incident. What a pile. Do not trust when they say they warranty their work!!!…read more First visit was in fall of 2024 and I was told I had a failed compressor. Replaced compressor that was under warranty and it still cost $1700. First start in 2025 and no cooling at all. Was told I had no refrigerant. They said suction valve failed and things "just break" sometimes. Again suction valve was still under warranty and this estimate started with a cost of around $1200, but owner lowered to around $660 after he heard my frustration. Fine I paid and had the suction valve replaced. A month or so later when heat comes in late spring and system is barely cooling. Now I am told I have a failed TH valve. Again service manager calls and says things "just break" and he's doing his best to lower repairs to $1200. Ridiculous! When I called for the initial compressor failure I was just going to put a whole new system in but they convinced me not to because the compressor was still in warranty. Well now they have me up to just under $4000 and the system doesn't work any better. Go elsewhere and don't trust a company that thinks it's ok for things that are under warranty to just "keep breaking" before they finally fix something. AND DON'T TRUST THEIR WARRANTY!!!
