Three months after installation, Zap called and informed my that it was time for my quarterly maintenance appointment. Wait, what? How much will that cost me? NOTHING. They arrived on time and spent over an hour and discovered that mice were eating the wire connecting the condenser and the air handler. They replaced it without question even though that was not part of their warranty. As a contractor who has dealt with hundreds of subcontractors, they are the top .001%. Signed an approval and said the tech was not to talk to the tenant. Get started and I would be there within the hour. When I got there the tech had not started and had told the tenant he was there to do the dryer vent. She was upset. He then told me the $99 was only for a dyer vent. I told him I ordered duct cleaning. He said that would be $450. I called the office, they said it was up to him. I complained and they said they would ask him to give me a discount because of the confusion. He refused and then told me, in front of the tenant because he had to wait for me he might not be able to do it all and would have to reschedule. The tenant called the prop. mgmt. company very angry. I agreed to pay the $450 and he started and then told me- in front of the tenant the ducts had mold and rust in them. This was the worst experience I have had with a duct cleaning company, and I have used several. I will NEVER use Clean Air again.
