After another HVAC company later diagnosed the dampers as the actual issue, I was frustrated that my original concern had been missed. After posting my review, the owner personally reached out to discuss my experience. He apologized for the misdiagnosis and explained that the replacement parts they use are commercial-grade and higher quality than the lower-cost versions I had found online, which helped me better understand the pricing. While I still wish the original issue had been correctly identified, I appreciated that he took the time to listen to my concerns, explain the charges, and offer a partial refund to make things right. Continue to service the later unit. My personal experience with Gee has also found them trustworthy. They keep nursing along the unit in a rental properly that has a slow leak in it. Never try to upsale me, they show up when they say they will, are usually available for service that day if tenant calls and says unit isn't working right. This is a relief to me being too far away to handle things myself.

It's difficult not to question the integrity of a recommendation when a blown fuse is mistaken for a $29,000 replacement. Do not trust when they say they warranty their work!!!…read more First visit was in fall of 2024 and I was told I had a failed compressor. Replaced compressor that was under warranty and it still cost $1700. First start in 2025 and no cooling at all. Was told I had no refrigerant. They said suction valve failed and things "just break" sometimes. Again suction valve was still under warranty and this estimate started with a cost of around $1200, but owner lowered to around $660 after he heard my frustration. Fine I paid and had the suction valve replaced. A month or so later when heat comes in late spring and system is barely cooling. Now I am told I have a failed TH valve. Again service manager calls and says things "just break" and he's doing his best to lower repairs to $1200. Ridiculous! When I called for the initial compressor failure I was just going to put a whole new system in but they convinced me not to because the compressor was still in warranty. Well now they have me up to just under $4000 and the system doesn't work any better. Go elsewhere and don't trust a company that thinks it's ok for things that are under warranty to just "keep breaking" before they finally fix something. AND DON'T TRUST THEIR WARRANTY!!!
