I began an implant procedure in October 2024. The periodontist clearly stated a 3-5 month healing window before the next phase. It's now nearly June 2025--and not only has my follow-up been delayed, I've been rescheduled four times without proper explanation. Yesterday, I received yet another call pushing my appointment back by another month--this time due to an unexplained "emergency." That's the fourth cancellation, with zero accountability. Ironically, when I had to reschedule an unrelated appointment (due to a family emergency), I was warned I'd be charged 25% of the appointment cost if I didn't give 24 hours' notice. I did call and leave a message the day prior and followed up the day of to try to work something out. Their double standard is appalling. The front desk and management are completely unhelpful, disengaged, and frankly, dismissive. The staff lacks basic communication skills and empathy--qualities that are non-negotiable in any medical environment. While the doctors may be skilled, the operational failure and lack of professionalism at this office overshadows everything. I will not be returning. And I will be escalating this to the district manager immediately.

Parking: There's a private lot shared with another business (a different dental office for surgical procedures I think) with plenty of parking. Sometimes, in my opinion, it did feel a bit less genuine/fake and it also felt like I was being rushed when I needed to call. It always seems like the front desk receptionists are in a hurry to hang up the phone. Dental/Appointments/Pricing: When I first started going to Island Dental, I loved my cleaning experience with the hygienist I was originally paired with but when she moved away, everyone after her that I had just seemed okay. My teeth never really felt truly amazingly clean as they had in the past with my primary hygienist in California. They really push the "boomcloud membership" which they raised the price multiple times since my first appointment. I personally think that for the quality of cleaning, it is extremely overpriced. Overall: After multiple appointments, still continuing the BoomCloud membership although my teeth never felt as clean as I would like them to be, I have decided that I would much rather go back to California to my primary dentist than to continue with Island Dental.
