Ran across this company on Yelp while seeking a vent cleaner. Located nearby & almost all 5-star reviews. First impression was not good, but I stayed the course and all turned out good. After making an online appointment three days hence, got a call the next day saying they were double-booked and I was the odd man out. Rescheduled for two weeks later. Also learned that their BOGO Memorial Day sale, which was still on their web site three months after the holiday would not be honored. Instead, they offered a different discount worth about half as much. (The next day I did see that they had taken down the Memorial Day sale.). At this point, I started reading Yelp reviews for other companies. But the next day they called me with an opening that afternoon, so I proceeded. The job went well, led by Jonny, assisted by Alex and Paul. They placed corner guards to keep their hoses from damaging my walls. Jonny, who was very courteous and professional throughout, pointed out particularly filthy vents to me and even found a few that had been installed upside down and corrected those. At job completion, I was provided a receipt that listed every service performed in great detail. So great, in fact, that when I read three line items that I knew had not been done, I informed the company and someone came out the next day to make everything right. So, a few imperfections along the way, but this company does strive to make everything right. read more

Absolute Duct & Chimney did a great job for us. Rachel was courteous on the telephone when we set up the appointment, and the estimate reflected the quality of their work; which was exceptional. Jonny called us when he and his team were on their way to our home, they got there on time and worked efficiently and took care of our belongings by keeping the work area clean. A very nice young man named Alex came to my home because there was an unusual smell coming from my dryer. I suspected it was hair from my Labrador that had accumulated in my vent. I was correct and he did a very professional and fast job of cleaning it out. In a very kind and non-pushy way, he notified me that they clean chimneys as well. After his inspection, I agreed to have that done too. He called the office and was given the go-ahead to stay and clean it. I was very pleased with both services and would definitely use them again. Jonathan at Absolute came out on a Saturday to clean my dryer vent. He arrived on time, was professional and efficient, and completed the job quickly. He also adjusted the duct that runs from the back of the dryer to the ceiling, as it was previously installed improperly. Also, kudos to Christy for providing excellent customer service! She is one of the friendliest people I have ever scheduled an appointment with over the phone. I wish I could give Absolute 4.5 stars, and here's why: There was a burning smell coming from the dryer after the duct was disconnected, which Jonathan suggested may indicate a serious problem with the dryer. I immediately called a repair person, who came out and inspected the dryer. Nothing is wrong with it...in fact, the dryer is only a couple years old. The repairman told me that the burning is normal because lint gets moved around and may fall on the heating element during vent cleaning. I understand that, ethically, Jonathan couldn't have told me it was a normal smell if it was potentially hazardous; however, I got the impression from him that I would need to purchase a new dryer. It seems like a burning smell is something the technicians should warn or talk to customers about. read more

I used Absolute Duct & Chimney Cleaning for air ducts & dryer vent cleaning - thorough professionals, did a very neat job, went over and beyond, every step of the way - very painless and pleasant experience. Special shout-out to Gil and Jonathan who did an excellent job ! Just a few salient points that will keep me coming back to them: 1) Rachel was the one who supplied the quote: she was responsive, efficient and co-operative; very quick turn-around times and a very reasonable, beat-the-competition type of price quote; this is more than I can say for some of the other duct cleaning companies that I spoke with. 2) Gil and Jonathan were my technicians- first up, scheduling: they called ahead to see if I was open to moving up my appointment to an earlier slot: I wasn't, so they waited for 3+ hrs, as I finished up at work and came home. 3) They were courteous, professional and explained to me every step of the way, what they were doing and the process details. Plastic was placed over all the furniture and carpeted areas to prevent those getting dirty, they vacuumed all the dust and debris very carefully- essentially left the place much cleaner than it originally was :-) All air ducts were thoroughly cleaned 4) For the dryer vent- Gil went over and beyond: climbed up all the way to the top of the roof, to locate the other end of the vent; discovered that wasn't where it was located, picked up a smaller ladder, entered my attic, located the other end of the dryer vent, and cleaned it all out: just goes to show that these guys are focused on doing a complete job- the best possible job they can, under the circumstances 5) Jonathan also replaced my A/C filter - had to do some custom cutting, but he was up to the task :-) They also disinfected the entire air conditioning and duct/ venting system. I had Absolute Duct and Chimney Cleaning come to clean out the clothes dryer duct which is long and hadn't been cleaned for years. Bottom line is that they were able to schedule me in within 4 days and the technician Saul was professional, thorough and friendly. He made sure that the duct was lint-free and that the re-connected pieces of the duct had no leaks before he left. He ran late but I received a phone call before the appointment time to let me know when the new ETA would be and an offer to reschedule which I declined, then another call when he was on his way. Had a time scheduled for them to arrive between 3-5pm on a Friday. Called at 2pm to confirm and was told all is on time. Called again at 4:30 and they said they should be there any minute but then five till five the guys called to say they were still an hour away. Once they got there they were really nice and efficient and worked their butts off. But they didn't get out of there until 745 so I had to rearrange my evening. read more
