I wanted to write a review about my experience with AFR. Sadly, my office experienced flooding due to an upstairs leak. I initially called another company and received a quote, but a friend of mine recommended AFR, so I decided to give them a call as well. I'll be honest -- I'm pretty skeptical these days because customer service in general has become pretty lackluster. That said, I can confidently say the customer service from AFR was excellent from start to finish. One thing I appreciated immediately was their willingness to work with me after finding out my USAA homeowners insurance would not be covering the damages. Since I was paying out of pocket, that mattered a lot to me, and they treated me fairly throughout the process. That was the first sign to me that this was probably going to be a good company to work with. Once the quotes came in, what really made AFR stand out compared to the competitor was the thoroughness and detail in their estimate and scope of work. I'm admittedly pretty OCD and detail-oriented, so I appreciated how clearly everything was broken down and explained. After speaking with Karen, we moved forward and scheduled the work. Anthony, who I would consider the lead on the project, was excellent throughout the entire process. His communication skills and responsiveness to texts and questions were outstanding. He showed up every day without fail and always maintained a professional attitude. When the crew arrived, Xavier and Sergei handled the demolition and mitigation work. The first thing I noticed was how well they prepped and protected the area before starting. Honestly, it was above and beyond what I expected. Any concerns or considerations I had were immediately addressed without complaint, although the reality is I barely had to say anything because their preparation and professionalism spoke for themselves. Since I had concerns about mold and mitigation, I paid very close attention to the process, and I was genuinely impressed with the level of care and diligence they showed. They documented everything thoroughly with photos and videos, kept the area extremely clean, and were meticulous with the work being performed. Anthony also consistently checked in throughout the project to make sure everything was progressing properly. Toward the end of the process, Jose handled the reconstruction work, including drywall, fiberglass, mudding, and texturing. He also did an excellent job, and the finished product came out great. Overall, I'm extremely impressed with AFR from top to bottom. Good customer service is hard to find nowadays, and this company exceeded my expectations. Hopefully I never need to call them again because that would mean I have another leak -- but if I ever do, I would not hesitate for a second to use AFR again. I ordered cabinets for my laundry room on line, then needed someone to install them. I went on Houzz.com to get some recommendations and AFR was one of two companies I interviewed for the job as I was just moving back to Las Vegas and didn't know who to contact after I went through the usual "I know a guy" and "I have a friend" responses from family and friends. Not only did AFR beat the other company on price, but they gave me a fully broken down estimate that showed me what each part of the project would cost, including overhead, which the other company would not do. I appreciated the transparency they exhibited both before and during the process and could not be happier with the outcome. Beside the finished product, the people that worked on the project were equally outstanding. First, Karen answering the phone is awesome! You have no idea what a great first impression the person answering the phone can make, and Karen is clearly one of the best. I don't know what her title is within the company, but whatever it is, Karen absolutely created the environment that made me want to work with AFR. During my design appointment, J. Johnson (the President and Chief Designer) and Jake (Master Carpenter) came out to look at the space and the materials that I had purchased. They assured me they had everything they needed to get me an accurate estimate and proposal. As I indicated before, the estimate was thorough and answered all my questions and concerns. There were no surprises at the end of the project with no cost overruns. I could not have asked for better. On construction day, Jake, Caleb, and Thai showed up on time and ready to work. I was very impressed with how quickly they got the cabinets installed in a relatively small space, along with all the trim and cabinet pulls. They cleaned up throughout the process and my house looked great afterwards. I worked with Manny (who was awesome) to build them template for the countertops, and to select the counter material sink and faucet. Not long after, Manny showed up with Roberto and Abel to get the countertops installed and the plumbing connected. During this installation, Louie Roman, the General Manager, showed up to check on progress and to make sure I was satisfied with the work. I had Manny come back out to work on the sink as it was manufactured with a sharp edge, and Caleb came out to do some touchup painting on the cabinets once I got paint from the manufacturer. On other projects, I have had people come out to do a touch and they do crappy work because they have already been paid. Not Caleb! He spent the time necessary to insure the job was completed properly. A couple of spots on the walls were repaired and repainted along with any small issues with the cabinets themselves. Truly an outstanding job from start to finish. Bottom line: AFR was outstanding to work with and I cannot thank them enough for the excellent work they did on my laundry room. read more

Choose another company if you can. The worker will s xually harass you and storm out when you mention a chip in your sink. They'll also let your water stay on while they're working on drying out a flood, obviously causing it to continue to leak but they'll charge you for the entire time. Then they will sue you when you try to ask for help and explain the situation. That's what happened to me anyway a few years ago. Just saw some old paperwork and thought I'd tell potential clients. From start to finish, working with AFR was a breeze. We all hope that nothing will ever go wrong in our homes, but when you see water in the house, call AFR immediately and they'll take it from there! They made a really hard situation as easy as it possibly could have been. They were quick to respond. They were respectful of our home. They were clean and tidy. They were sweet with our kids who were home while they worked. The office staff was extremely knowledgeable and responsive. Insurance companies are going to try and deny and underpay at every turn ... AFR is the partner that we didn't know we needed to get our house taken care of and to get what we deserved from the insurance company. I could go on and on about the employees, because they were all great. Some of the standouts: Izamar and Karen at the office. When you call the office, you will hear from one of them, and they are very careful and thorough in their work. Never left me hanging. Explained things well. Excellent. Louie and Anthony on the project management side were super helpful and careful to take care of every issue that we saw. And they guarantee their work so if anything shifts, we are covered! A couple other employees who stood out were Joshua, Octavio, Jose, and Edwin. They were all great at the work they performed, and even though the house was a "construction zone" while they got everything done ... it was tidy and neat and they did the best they could to give us a great experience. We ended up having some water damage done to our home and luckily, I found AFR! They have literally, been nothing but amazing! Beth, the owner, made sure that I had her contact info in the event any issues came up. She would call in just to check on us and make sure the project was going good. And Karen from the office...sooooo many great things to say about her! Our insurance made things difficult in getting our house repairs done in a timely manner. For something that could've been fixed in a month, ended up taking almost 5 months because insurance was just ridiculous. But Karen, she made sure to call the insurance adjuster every day until she got in contact with someone. Unfortunately, the insurance adjuster became impossible to deal with but Karen stood her ground and fought for my family and our home and insured we got our home repaired as soon as possible. She is a God send! I have experienced nothing but kindness, compassion and professionalism from this company and I couldn't be happier! I will definitely be recommending them to everyone! I came home from work after being gone for five hours, and my entire lower floor flooded. This is a large five bedroom house. Water was seeping under the walls into the garage and onto the street. Rugs and carpets, soft, and some of my recording studio equipment damage . We googled the best flood response team in Vegas at 345 AM and emergency and we weren't let down. I live in Florida and my rental condo in Las Vegas flooded. The HOA highly recommended Absolute Flood Response for the problem. There aren't enough praises to bestow on Beth's woman owned company. She obviously hires only the best people. Izzy was the always pleasant and helpful voice on the phone no matter how many times I called and there were many. Karen is absolutely amazing! She expertly handled everything for me (as I had two surgeries during this time) with my insurance company while mitigation and restoration was going on. This is a dishonest, predatory company. Read the other negative reviews and you'll see a pattern of lies, intimidation, and other bad business practices. I had a plumber come out because I had noticed some minor water damage on a garage wall next to where the tankless water heater was hung. I had already opened up a nice 3'x3' area so the plumber could see the issue. Once I had his estimate I asked him what the next steps would be after his repair was finished. He mentioned he had worked with Absolute Flood Response and that he'd call them to come out and give me an estimate as they did both remediation and had a construction company to fix the drywall. The plumber called them and later that evening two guys showed up from Absolute Flood Response. I had already filed an insurance claim before I realized my home deductible was so high, and I explained to the workers that without knowing what the job was going to cost, I didn't know if it was going to come out of my pocket, or be an insurance claim, so I needed an estimate. There was no emergency, there was no flood, matter of fact the amount of water present on the floor wouldn't have filled a thimble. So they showed me the work authorization that they needed signed to be able to give me an estimate, and the work authorization clearly stated that no work would be performed until I had received and accepted an estimate. Once I signed, they widened out the large cut in the drywall I had already made and I was told someone would be in contact the next day. They literally spent 15 minutes widening out my cut. The next day a field supervisor showed up, took a look at the job and said he'd have an estimate to me later that day. I received the estimate, and comparing it to the other estimates I received that same day, I chose to go with another company. The harassing phone calls from Absolute Flood began shortly after that. They were demanding to be paid for the "work" they performed. I was like, "what work???". They never said there would be a cost to give an estimate, and the other companies charged nothing to provide an estimate. Their position is that there was an emergency for an after-hours service call and they performed demolition and clean up. Ahhhhh, no! I told them that I understood that any "work" they performed was so that they could provide me with an estimate, which is exactly what their work authorization says. Dealing with these people has been pointless. They issue threats, saying their going to lien your property adding $800 or more to the bill for the lien costs. The office folks at Absolute Flood Response are world-class liars. They invent stories to fit their narrative, disregarding facts or even what their work authorizations say. Bottom line, understand that when you let a company like this onto your property, and they so much as sweep the floor, you just opened yourself up to an invoice of an unknown amount, which they will get paid by plain old intimidation or by the improper use of the lien system. I was forced to pay them $795 to avoid having a lien filed (and that additional expense), but I demanded the return of those funds since I never authorized any work, just an estimate. They made up a story and based on their made up story they are refusing to refund me. So, I am now off to small claims court to tell this story to the court and see what the court says. I hope my story will save others from the same hassle I ended up dealing with from Absolute Flood Response. read more

It started off very badly as they cut a hold in my ceiling when there was already a designated crawl space opening. No water damage was found, my personal AC guy also went through the crawl space and walked to where they cut the hole and told me he found no water damage. However, it ended very well as their repair guy, Edwin, was wonderful! He did beautiful work patching the unnecessary hole, and painting it. He was very clean and thorough and polite. Ask for Edwin if you ever need anything fixed, and ask for Gabriel instead of Juan as a project manager. He has good customer service skills, unlike Juan who never looked at me in the eye, or even said, "hello" or "goodbye". read more

I am writing another review due to my first review not being published. I have had this company do work at my house multiple times and cannot say enough about the quality of work they provided. I had a flood most recently and they arrived onsite within 30 minutes of my calling (after hours) and identified the cause and actually found that our spare room had been flooded, which if had not been found would have ruined most of the furniture in the room. (thank you to Tristian, Anthony and Ronnie for taking care of our home) These guys treated our home like it was theirs! We were wanting to have some work done to our house. I found AFR and I am so glad I did. The quote they gave was the same as we had gotten from a few other places. The big difference was they could do all of the work and not just part of it. The others would only do part of what we were wanting, but not the whole project. Robert was the main person we dealt with. He was always available for any concerns we had and also made sure things ran smoothly. Roberto, Hector, Tavo, Jose and Jesus did outstanding work. They went above and beyond to make sure their part of the job was done in a professional way. Mario did the work for the new shower and he did an outstanding job. His attention to detail really shows, he is a true artist when it comes to doing tile! We had to have a new kitchen island installed. Jake and Caleb built a beautiful piece of cabinetry. Due to some unexpected hidden water damage, insurance got involved. Karen in the office was a life saver. She was able to get picture and proof of damage to the insurance. I would not hire this company they are not loyal to the customer they are loyal to the builders in hopes of getting more business with them. I spoke with the owner and asked if there is a conflict of interest with the builder and she stated there is not at all and asked me to share all my info and make an appointment to come evaluate damage. After not showing up for the appointment with no notice I called to see what is happening and the office manager said they will not be coming out since there is a conflict of interest with the builder which came as a complete shock to me. My bathroom ceiling collapsed overnight due to a slow leak in my hot water pipe. The plumber who fixed the leak referred me to AFR for the remediation, dry wall repair and construction work. They were so responsive, showing up within an hour and explaining everything step by step. Their office also called me daily to make sure I understood everything, was satisfied with the progress and to help coordinate my insurance claim.
