Cannot recommend these guys enough. Reynaldo worked with us and his crew was fantastic! We found out that underneath the flooring and behind shower walls, we had extensive water damage and a pipe leak and black mold and it was horrifying and awful. These guys worked so quickly and so efficiently. Even the way they taped off the bathroom and our carpet walkway was so careful and professional. They were completely thorough- they really chased down every last tiny sign of mold, which was such a relief for us. Our water heater leaked in the kitchen. We had originally chosen another contractor to repair the damage, but we were not happy with the response time in getting things done. We reached out to Thistle DKI and they were on top of it immediately. We had an estimate done right away and Kaydin began assessing what needed to happen first. It wasn't the average situation, as our counter top needed to be removed and raised. Kaydin was thorough and very particular in making sure everything was done to our satisfaction. He went above and beyond to make things right and was easy to reach whenever we called. Sometimes it took a little while to get a contractor out, but he always made good on his promises. (So much that the poor guy needs to take a day off!) Their plumber, Mike deserves special mention. Once you've had crappy plumbers, you learn to appreciate really good ones. He knows his stuff! DKI was assigned by Alacrity Services out of Oregon. They do the assigning of contractors for our insurance co! The adjuster for our insurance was timely, however, since DKI stepped in, got our deductible $$$ - CRICKETS unless I call one of the managers. Then non committal, vague answers. Claim filed 4/16/18; today is 5/8/18 only two items of many have been done. Two stars is generous because their managers are skilled in fluff. read more

Our water heater broke, and it was upstairs. We entrusted our house with Thistle DKI. They did an amazing job, they were able to dry out all the water in our ceiling and the part that wouldnt dry they took out. They patched up the hole and you would never know there was a hole. Their workmanship on the dry wall was miraculous. They were extremely attentive and came by periodically to check on the dryers. Would highly recommend to anyone who needs work on their house. After being paid almost $4000 for repairs after a tree fell on our garage, the office sent us to collections for a $600 bill for a roof tarp that was supposed to be paid directly by the insurance company. Thistle never called us directly to say the insurance company had not paid. They sent us an invoice 5 months after repairs were completed and insurance claim closed. When I contacted my insurance company the day I received the invoice they told me that they would investigate and ask for a detailed bill of what I was charged as well as what had already been paid. It's been approximately 1 week and I have not heard the details yet from my insurance company and today I was called by a collection agency. Very sad that after they did good work, they failed in customer communication and relationships. I will NOT recommend them to anyone. I am still waiting for someone from management or ownership to contact me directly to discuss. read more

We hired Thistle DKI do work to restore my kitchen and they ultimately did a good job on my restoration. My issue with them is that they took about eight months to finish the job. My cabinets did not have the handles so we had to wait an extra three weeks for them to be installed. They ordered trim for my cabinets three different times to get the correct ones. They had to order a new cabinet because one of the cabinets that they ordered did not fit so we had to wait an additional two months for the new cabinet to be installed. They had to order two new cabinet doors because the handles were installed crooked. They were fair on pricing but they took so long to bill my insurance that they accidentally billed them for services that they did not complete. I chose them because I saw that customers were satisfied with their work. Ultimately, I am very unsatisfied with their work because they took too long to complete my kitchen. read more

Without detailing everything they did wrong from creating additional damage, price gouging and the list goes on. I was lucky enough to be referred to Thistle. Danny Thistle had an estimate to me the same day as his inspection for the full scope of work and they were ready to start immediately to coincide with my schedule. In a time of being totally displaced from your home and work, not only did they perform excellent craftsmanship, they quickly relieved a major burden of not having to become a general contractor yourself. The crew was onsite everyday, on time and worked full days. Finishing the job ahead of schedule. Sometimes the nature of this work is dependent on subcontractors and there are so many moving parts that can delay a project....days turn into weeks into months. Thistle brought in the best subcontractors. Which also speaks to their level of respect in the community. None of the subcontractors scheduled the work weeks out. It was all completed immediately.
