Fire Restoration Services I had a small kitchen fire and wanted to procure fire restoration services to take care of any soot and smoke damage. Any visible damage was mostly contained within kitchen area. I looked up local companies on Yelp and decided to get a free quote from Independent Restoration Services. They came out the next day to check out the place, provided a quote within a few hours, and were then able to start the next day after obtaining work authorization. I placed my trust in them based on their reviews across Yelp, Google, and FB. At first I was a bet skeptical due to only one person making it out on the first day, which was due to a combination of scheduling issues , others being called onto different sites/projects, and overall just being a small team. But in the end they still finished on schedule as initially estimated, despite having less manpower than I had expected. They were thorough with the restoration - my place was just as clean as before, and in some places even cleaner. They kept me assured throughout the whole process and answered any questions and concerns I had. There was a misunderstanding on my end where I thought they would also clean the air ducts, but since that is not something they provide, they offered to go 50/50 on subcontracting a duct cleaner. And at the end, they agreed the initial quoted estimated cost seemed a bit too high, so they were willing to adjust the final bill downwards. Overall they provided quality cleaning and restoration services, were flexible to work with, and did not seem like they were out to get my money. While I never hope to need a remediation company ever again, if I do, I will definitely call Insurance Restoration Services. Picture it, 3:30 pm, the day before Easter, I walk into the garage to find my wall leaking. After turning off the water to the house I frantically hopped online, trying to find someone to come to the house ASAP. Based on reviews, I called IRS. Michael called me back within 30 minutes and he was out to the house 3 hours later. That's right, on the Saturday night before Easter. After assessing the situation he determined the team would be out first thing Monday morning. And that they were. They got to work removing the damaged walls - shout out to Shawn for being polite and professional. They had the plumber out there to fix the broken pipe ASAP. And, by mid-afternoon on Monday the leak was fixed and the walls were drying out with IRS' fans and dehumidifiers. IRS confirmed that there was damage due to water soaking through the tiles and laminate flooring. He also checked my water meter to make sure I didn't have a slab leak. This is an honest company that you can trust. I recently had a small water leak that I caught quickly, but since it was inside the wall I was worried that mold or water damage elsewhere that wouldn't be visible. Shan came out and had a good look around, using his FLIR camera and confirmed that yes, there was some moisture, but it would be fine if we just continued to air it, and used a couple of fans to help in that process.
