I found this company on Groupon after yet another disappointment from one of the big "Uber of housekeeping" companies. I believe the deal was $109 for 4 hours of cleaning - with an additional 20% off Groupon special discount. Making an appointment took several phone calls and that was a little frustrating. I left messages for two days before I finally got someone on the phone (no one ever returned my calls). Persistence is the key to getting an appointment. Once I got someone on the phone, the next available appointment was over a week away... which was disappointing but I took it. However, about an hour later, they called back to let me know of a cancellation the very next day (a Saturday no less!). I was thrilled. The cleaner showed up on time - 8:30 am!. She brought her own cleaning supplies but used my vacuum and some of the supplies I prefer (Method's Cucumber Melon spray cleaner is a MUST in my house). She was very friendly and thorough and did what I needed... asking me to give her priorities first so her time could be best spent. I gave a cash tip although this company does offer you the option of tipping online... I was pleased with the cleaning and would definitely recommend this company. A year ago I bought their Yelp deal $99/$149 service. The one year anniversary was coming close so I called to make an appointment so as to not miss out on the terms of the deal...and guess what ...the girl answering their phone states that my location is out of their service area. I argued that the map that is posted on Yelp for their service area clearly shows coverage of my home, and their "About our business" clearly states that they serve Los Angeles AND Ventura counties...Nope she says, you can get a refund but you have to call Yelp...and so the process to get a refund begins. I'm not sure why businesses, or this one in particular, do not clearly state their limitations, or don't review or update such things such as their service coverage maps, but it's causing an inconvenience. I adjusted my review from one star to two stars, since in all fairness, I didn't have a chance to review their actual service and don't want to appear to be vindictive. I understand that businesses may set limitations for their area of service coverage but here they are both vague, inaccurate and misrepresented. I'm terribly disappointed... I needed my place cleaned for a shoot. I purchased a 4 hour cleaning directly, opposed to Groupon as I called them to verify if we were within their distance acceptance. It was stated a 1 hour potential range of arrival, they would call when they were on their way. That didn't happen. The female/male employees were nice. The woman asked me what my priority was. What I didn't know was if I didn't State a room as an priority it would not be touched by either of them at all. 3 bedrooms- COMPLETELY untouched. Didn't think that was possible. No countertops wiped, rugs or flooring cleaned, mirrors, items straightened out or dusted..NOTHING! In their defense they wanted to do a quick run through but I had 700 hundred other things I needed to do so I didn't pay true attention. My master bedroom bathroom truly threw me off. The rugs, still dirty/unshaken) were on my bedroom floor just balled up full of little dirt/trash. There were things from my bathroom put on my bedroom nightstand. Why? And why were they not out back! The rocks in my sink were pulled out but not rinsed nor put back. The plunger was thrown on top of my bag of toilet tissue, the bowl cleaner was squeezed on the bottom of my shelf on top of my wipes.... WTF. So disgusting!! My upstairs hallway floor was obviously cleaned, yet not one statute or cabinet dusted or wiped off in the same small area. My living room was nicely cleaned yet underneath the staircase I had to sweep out some dust balls galore. Dining table I left some frames on but didn't even lift them up to dust. I walked them out and they asked me should they throw a bag of trash out, I replied no because at that point I found that crises my line of absurdity and just wanted to keep proceeding with my day. Please, go ahead and leave the trash for me to deal with. :/ At the very end, they seemed to have misplaced their keys and needed to come back in to search. The gentlemen said oh sh!& twice. Have I ever heard this before, of course. Did I anticipate or want to hear it in my business dealing? Not at all. I sent quite a few photos and called to speak to an Supervisor. I eventually received a call back saying a Manager had been contacted and for an apology they would send out one person for an hour. Really? I spent over that time cleaning the 3 bedrooms, hallway, under the staircase and putting belongings back in the 2 very small bathrooms correctly. I spent time, I did not have, talking on the phone AND emailing back and forth. I obviously did not have the time or desire or I would have done it originally and not sought an outside ' professional'. I'm very aware that Customer Service is a rare thing lately but I just wanted to try a new service to replace my old one that moved back to London recently. Worst maid service ever. I bought 4 hours maid service from group on. They didn't show up twice without any notice. I called the customer service first time the lady on the phone told me they rescheduled to 2 hours later, well without telling me. Rescheduled to Saturday, didn't show up again, called customer service several times, she told me she can't reach the maid, and offer to 3 hours 2 maid cleaning, which equals 6 hours total. They finally showed up the third time. I was at home the first half hour, getting ready to work. They were clean the living room. And I found out they left soon after I heading to work, without cleaning the bathroom and bedroom at all. I was patient and nice to them the whole time, I paid $65 for 4 hours work, and I only have 1 br and 1 bathroom apartment. I thought with 4 hours cleaning, my apartment would look like new. I purchased a Groupon for 1 maid for 4hrs @$65. When I called they told me it would be 2 maids for 2hrs. Lisa and Marisol arrived at 9am which was better than the 9:30-10:30am window I was given. They were personable and friendly. After unloading their bucket of cleaning supplies they started at 9:06am. Upstairs for the first hour and then downstairs. They asked to use my broom and Swifter which was no problem, but I thought a cleaning service would come prepared. It was 10:36am when they were done. I paid for 2hrs and not 1.5hrs. I came downstairs to find they had literally moped themselves out the front door and were standing outside ready to leave. I told them it was a 2hr cleaning and they need to dust a bar cart which I mentioned earlier as something that needed to be dusted. Now, they had to wait till the floor dried before they could come back in. I went back upstairs and at 10:52am they said they were done again. Not exactly 2hrs. Close, but not what I paid for. They left and I felt satisfied in their cleaning. Would I hire Absolute Home Cleaning Services again? No. If the service was for 2hrs then you should get 2hrs! If you finish early then you ask what else can we do as apposed to leaving early. read more

I'm not sure what happened considering some of the other reviews, but this was the worst cleaning I've ever had, and I had to clean after they left. Is cleaning under the couch, my bed and under and around my bathroom vanity, for instance, too much to ask? I wish I had looked at things before they left because any time something (however little) would have required moving or you couldn't see it from eye level, it was untouched. It seems like they just cleaned the floor wherever it was convenient/would be noticed at eye level. And that's just the floor. None of the windowsills or baseboards were touched and barely any dusting was done if anything required moving...I'm actually a bit afraid of what I would find if I looked at everything because anything not entirely obvious was not done. Further, they gave me a window of 10-12am, but came at 9:15am and then only worked until 11am whilst charging for 2hrs. Very disappointed in their service. Bought the Groupon for 4 hours of cleaning. They split the time and sent two women for two hours. We have a two story house, so I thought, "That's OK. They can each take a floor for two hours. Easy. Divide and conquer and spend more time on the details." Instead, they focused almost all of their time on the bathrooms (1 full and 1 half bath) and spent the rest of the time bickering back and forth in Spanish. They were out the door (left early, also) before we could inspect their work. Noticed afterwards that counters, furniture, window frames, shelves, etc. we'd pointed out for dusting weren't even touched. First, I had to schedule an appointment over a week out from the time I called. Kind of annoying, but ok, no big deal. They gave me a window between 9:30-10:30am for 2 maids that would come for 2 hours. The maid called at 9:30am and said she'd be 30-45 minutes late. I called the company at 11:10am when the maids still hadn't arrived and I explained I had to take time off of work for this. Pretty much all I got was "she's going to be 30-45 minutes late from the end of your time window. She should be there in 10-15 minutes." That time doesn't even add up, she should've been there 5 minutes after that phone call. No apology, didn't hear what I had to say, just gave me some orders and hung up the phone. They finally arrived at 11:35am - over 1 hour later than the end of the 10:30am time window. The maids did a pretty good job cleaning but did not clean specific areas that I asked. They also didn't have enough time to clean all of the rooms in my 2bed/2bath apartment in the 2 hour time slot. My entire living room remains untouched. Overall, big disappointment. read more

During my phone conversation last Friday with Absolute Home Cleaning Services where no one showed up to the appointment, the girl (forgot her name - I think it started with an "A") mentioned that her supervisor was not available due to a personal emergency and would be back on Tuesday (March 10). "A" informed me that she had left a voicemail for her supervisor and also left her a note at the office to call me in order to settle my issue. Surprise, surprise! It is now Thursday, March 12 and not one phone call or message from this horrendous company. I would have given them some credit if they had reached out to me in order to take care of the issue, but this just shows that not only are they unreliable, but they do NOT care about customer service. I got my money back from LivingSocial, but that's a given since I didn't receive any type of service whatsoever from this company. They don't respect people's time...that's not a good way of doing business. We had appointment on Friday afternoon. They called about 2 hours before stated that the cleaning lady had a car accident so would like to reschedule to the next day. Thing happens, I understand. They then gave me a time window 12:30 -1:30 pm for Saturday. At 1:30 no sign of anyone, I called their office, the receptionist said she'll find out what's going on. No apology at all. Called back 20 min later, told me that the maid is running late, the housekeepers be there in 15min because of traffic. Another 40min went by, no sign. I guess the extra time window they gave and my time don't mean anything. By the way, when the housekeepers finally arrived, I asked if they were okay regarding getting into the accident, they said that there were NO accident???? Obviously the company doesn't know how to run the business professionally; no communication between employees; dishonest and lied! Now, here the review for the cleaning ladies: They arrived late; didn't have supplies to clean the floors (all tiles and hardwood floors) they had to go and get it. We just bought the house, so it was completely empty...they finished before the 2 hours. 1) kitchen outside of the cabinets were still dirty 2) Exterior of stove and oven were dirty We didn't have a refrigerator. 3) Main hallway was full of dirt along the wall. They didn't clean behind the door 4) All bedroom shelves were dusty 5) lots of corners still have cob webs. I gave 2 stars because when I opened the door, the stuff that they used to mop the floors does smelled good. I got a Groupon for this service and it was the best value of the year! Jennifer and Lisaa came a bit early which was great. I showed them around, told them what I expected and they got right to work. They were super polite and actually very nice. It might be strange to say but it was nice having them around. They brought a fun energy to their job. They did such a wonderful, thorough job. Everything was well cleaned when they were done and even asked if there was anything else I wanted to have done. They achieved more than I expected within the time that I had reserved. I definitely recommend the service and particular these ladies. The 2 cleaning ladies were fantastic! They really did a great job. They are fluent in English and nice people. I have a small apartment, and they cleaned the tough stains / dirt in my kitchen and bathroom, wiped the windows from inside and outside, vacuuming, and dusting in 2 hours. I was very happy that my place got so much cleaner! My original appointment was a week earlier, but they did not show up. I did not even receive a call from the office after my appointment time. When I finally called, the office lady said that there was an emergency, blah, blah, blah... I was very upset when the lady tried to reschedule my appointment 2 weeks later. I told her to work something out for an earlier appointment. She gave me an attitude, but pulled it through. I was skeptical if the cleaning service will be half ass, or if they will ever show up. But despite my concerns, the cleaning ladies showed up on time, and did a great job. I'd give a 5-star for the cleaning ladies alone, but because of the prior cancellation, I'd have to deduct one star. I would use them again if there are more Groupon deals in the future. read more

This service was not bad, but not great. To start, instead of making an official appointment time with us, they gave us a time gap within which the cleaners would show up, and while they did show up within that time period, it was literally at the last possible minute. I don't like not being given a specific appointment time - I have better things to do with my day then block hours on end for the cleaners to actually show up, and then to do the actual service. Besides that, they did an average cleaning job. It was nice to have the basics done, but to be honest, they were not very thorough. They didn't move anything on the kitchen counters or shelves to clean/dust under and behind it, but rather just dusted around things. And taller items, like the tops of tall dressers or the higher shutters, were just overlooked completely. Finally, they did not bring many of their own supplies. When they showed up, they told us that we were supposed to be notified by the company when we scheduled the appointment to provide trash bags and paper towels, which we definitely WERE NOT. Of course we had trash bags on had, but I don't keep paper towels on hand ever. They did not bring a vacuum - every cleaner I have ever used provided their own vacuum,and ours is not very good, so our carpets still looked like crap after a professional cleaning. Scammers. I bought a Groupon for a cleaning. It took three months to even speak to someone to schedule it, and once I did finally do so, no one showed up. The woman who answers the phone lied to me and said she called me to let me know that the cleaner had been waiting at my door for 20 minutes. But my door had been wide open, and I could prove no one ever called me! When I called her on the lie, she stood by it and said she'd schedule someone to come next week. I said okay, but that if no one showed again I'd seek a refund. Immediately she said to me, "I'm refusing you service for threatening me." So... yeah, total scam. I contacted Groupon and was able to get a refund, but still, what a frustrating experience. By the way, I tried to report them on the BBB website, and they're not accredited. In this case I want to say the opposite and let people know how excellent the service was that I received from Absolute Cleaning. I recently had some remodeling done which left dust everywhere plus I don't clean often. Denise and Janet came in and did a deep cleaning, They worked nonstop for three hours! There was a lot to get done and they did everything I wanted in the order that I wanted it done. They made my place sparkle and shine. I enjoy coming home to my showroom clean place now. I plan to continue to use them again. They were definitely well worth it! read more

This company is awful. I called in February and had to wait till April 7th for my cleaning. They sent me to workers for 3 hours which was great but they did a horrible job Aaron they were 40 minutes late. They forgot to clean the tile in my shower came up my floors with water and they didn't even do the kitchen floor but most of all the girl who clean my kitchen I guess forgot to clean my stove. I had to redo my bathroom and my kitchen and my own floors. What was the purpose of having them come to my house to begin with? read more

I used this service based on the Yelp review average. I'm really surprised at the disparity of reviews -- from 5 stars to 1 star. This seems really fishy. I'd tend to go on past reviews rather than someone with one or just a few reviews. Still, I'm not doubting all those. Anyway, we scheduled two women to clean our home with just about 24 hours of notice. My wife was concerned about the uncleanliness of our home before hosting a dinner party and we were thrilled to find a last-minute solution. The women were super friendly and interacted with us and our child well. I was glad to have them there. The price was super reasonable for the amount of work and time. On top of it, we tipped generously. Along with the cleaners, the office staff was super thorough and meticulous when I spoke with them over the phone. They followed up with me before and after the visit. I appreciated that and it made me feel better about bringing people I didn't know into my home for cleaning. The cleaners arrived and left on time. They did a really solid job and were thorough. We were grateful. It wasn't perfect but we appreciated their work and will call them again. read more

Excellent Deal! We got the same price even without a Groupon. And the best part was that they didn't charge us extra for our special circumstances. We were moving out, so I just wanted a deep 4 hour clean of our 2 regular sized bathrooms and the kitchen, nothing else. But most of the maid services I called said that would be extra, even though I wouldn't have the maid do anything else. Odd. Absolute was easy, they marked down my special preferences, and Dasii was on time and very nice. She went over both bathrooms and the kitchen and made sure there was nothing else I wanted done. She divided her time so precisely, starting with soaking the oven, then an hour for each bathroom and 2 hours for the kitchen. She asked me about anything she found, before just tossing it, and was so pleasant to spend 4 hours with. I felt we got every minute we paid for and are relieved we don't have to do the heavy cleaning now. We will use Absolute Cleaning for our next home's needs and recommend them to others. read more

Do not use. I specifically hired this company because a representative told me that they did dishes. The cleaner did a terrible job. I had to rewash everything. I also had to wash down the cabinets and the refrigerator and the floor. When I called the company, I was told that they don't do dishes. And as for the rest of the kitchen, I was told someone would call me in 48 hours. That was weeks ago. The cleaners were very nice. The one who worked in my bathroom was great. I had an Amazon deal for two hours of cleaning at $65. I needed some work done because I was new to the apartment and the last tenants to use it were not very hygienic. I was very pleased with the work the cleaning ladies did! They were prompt with their arrival and got everything done in the bathroom and bedroom in less than two hours. They brought their own cleaning supplies, which was fabulous as, being new to the city, I didn't have any of my own to offer them to use. My only minor disappointment was that one of the cleaning ladies was much younger (perhaps an apprenticeship?) and she seemed a bit averse to "icky" things and thus didn't clean the windowsill as thoroughly as I would have liked, but the bathroom was spotless and let me tell you, it was a mess to begin with. The worst cleaning service ever. My family and I just moved to a new home, so we wanted to prepare our old house and make it look good for either sale or lease. We therefore contacted Absolute Home Cleaning Services to clean our vacant house. I found a sweet deal on Groupon which was 6 hours of deep cleaning for $179. However, as my home was right on the limit of the 15 miles range from their office, which was a condition on the deal, I gave them a call directly to confirm whether or not I was eligible for the discount - and unfortunately my home was not within the 15 miles. I was 16 miles away. Nevertheless, I still signed up for the 6 hours of deep clean but to the regular price of $49/hour. I spoke to a very friendly person named Annie, and she was the only reason I gave this company 1 star. She took her time explaining to me and answering all my questions. We made an appointment on a day the following week with the cleaning lady coming between 8:30-9:30am. The following week my wife and toddler went to the empty house waiting for the cleaning lady at 8:25am. 8:25am became 9:30am and at 9:45am with no sign of the cleaning lady, I gave the office a call. After trying a few times only being met by a voice mail (which actually also happened the very first time I called them), I finally got through to a lady, who called me back to let me know the given appointment range was between 9:30-10:30am. This was obviously incorrect, as I did not pull 8:30am out of the blue air. So another hour went, and at 10:45am the cleaning lady drove up in our driveway in her big Mercedes (blocking my wife's car in the garage) despite the many available street parking spots. Living 5 minutes away from our old house, I went over there when I got the call from our HOA's Security Guard announcing her arrival. The cleaning lady seemed nice, but slow. It took her 5 minutes to get out of her car. She didn't speak English, but luckily my wife was Spanish speaking and could communicate with her. We showed her around in our 2,800 Sqf cookie-cutter home. 4 Bedrooms. 3 Bathrooms. All vacant. No furniture, no items in the cabinets. It should be an easy gig, which I personally would estimate to take 4 hours rather than 6 hours, but I am not a cleaning expert. While showing her around, she got a call which she responded through her iPhone Pods that seemed glued to her ears. That call took a few minutes and the clock was ticking. We left her, asked her to move her car so my wife could get out of the garage, which she did - and then proceeded to take over the spot inside our garage. 5 hours later (3:45pm), i.e. 1 hour before the end of the service, I went over there to check - and did I get surprised. The floors still looked dirty, the kitchen looked dirty, the bathroom downstairs looked somewhat cleaned. I went upstairs to find her talking on her phone while randomly cleaning one of the small bedrooms. I continued to check out the master bed and bath room, which looked the same. All in all - 90% of the house looked untouched after 5 hours. I got very concerned - especially since this is an hourly paid gig, and I had no intentions whatsoever to pay for more than 6 hours. I got in touch with my wife, who came there shortly after. We did point out the things for the cleaning lady, and she did promise to finish it as a 6 hours job regardless of how many hours it would take. That was ok, but yet I was still concerned as I would have expected 90% of the house being done after 5 hours and not the other way around. We left her again - and at 7:45pm (our daughters' bed time) we went over there. She was wrapping up. The only problem now it was dark and it is never easy to inspect cleaning without true sunlight. Especially the window cleaning. While it this time - after additional 4 hours - looked much better, it was still not perfect. I found dirt on top of the switches. She had not brought a 2-step ladder, which I was told by Annie initially that all their cleaning ladies would bring along. This mean that all the upper cabinets in the kitchen were still dirty. While cleaning our plantation shutters, she broke some of them, so the blinds were no longer connected to the control mechanism. Windows were not completely clean. She did give us her number, and told us she would come back and clean anything we were not satisfied with the next day without charge. But honestly at this point, we just wanted her out of our house. We did not want to spend further time on this with a person who obviously is not capable of cleaning. To begin with we did not want to spend time on this at all, which was the reason we decided to go with cleaning company. Now my wife will have to go there and finish up what the cleaning lady did not finish. We did not get what was promised and we do not have time for them to correct it. After reading other reviews here (I should have done that first) it looks like this is the way the company drive its business. read more

UNRELIABLE! EXTREMELY RUDE CUSTOMER SERVICE! UNORGANIZED! UNPROFESSIONAL IN EVERY SENSE OF THE WORD!! DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!! This is the worst home cleaners I have ever dealt with. I cannot believe that they are still in business. First I was told that that they would send out one cleaner for 6 hours. Fair enough, that was the groupon I bought. Mind you, I called almost a month in advance. 10 days before the date, someone called and asked if they could give me two cleaners for 3 hours instead and start at 9ish. I told them, no problem. The day comes, at 10:20am I get a call from an extremely rude staff member who tells me that the cleaner had an emergency and had to go to her daughter's school. I asked her if the second cleaner was still coming. She very rudely tells me that I was only scheduled for one cleaner. I explained the call I got about a week before but I might as well have be talking to the village idiot. It just didn't seem to register with her and/or she didn't care. Unbelievable!!! I had scheduled my day around the cleaners being here for 3 hours and now she can't even tell me if someone would actually show up. She told me that they would try and see if they can get someone else to come but any other questions I asked her was met with a bad attitude and she even snapped at me for pressing her for an decent answer. The worst thing about this situation was the bad attitude from the staff. An hour and a half later, I called them to see if someone was going to come out. I was told that they were still waiting to see if a someone could find a babysitter. At this point, I told her to forget it as I really needed someone to clean that day and couldn't sit around on their "maybe"! I was able to get another company to come out with just an hour notice for just $20 more then the $90 that I paid for the groupon. They did a great job too. Got the deal on groupon for 6 hours for $90. They apparently sold too many so was forced to schedule my service about 3 months from the date I called, not a big deal - was perfectly okay with this. The reason for my negative review is the obscene amount of scratches their maid left on ALL of our nearly brand new stainless steel appliances (less than 1 year old). Our microwave, oven, toaster oven, and dishwasher are now covered in scratches because the woman clearly used some sort of steel wool material to clean it. Outside of this, she did a great job with everything else she touched but the damages caused to our appliances far outweigh the money we saved by using their deal. read more

This is my second experience the first time they used EazyOff oven cleaner on my self cleaning oven not only on the Inside but on the out side ( it strips enamel) they paid for what the messed up. So I decided that the cleaning job was so thorough last time let call again... Well wrong move... One girl moved like a snail I cleaned more of my apartment than they did. If you want to live in suspense on if your scheduled cleaner is going to arrive or not when you need them to, then sure, sign yourself up for that mystery. -_- I bought a 4hr clean from Living Social. It was my first time using any cleaning service and the receptionist was very informative and helpful in setting up the right day and time for my needs. We talked before I bought the deal to ensure their service was what I needed. I had an aunt coming into town and needed my place "family approved level of clean" and had to have it cleaned before her arrival, which I made very clear. She reassured and guaranteed that I'd be taken care of. The day prior to my appointment, at 3PM, I received a message that my cleaning lady is out that day and they need to reschedule to another week. That is no way acceptable, especially since my appointment was for 9AM the next morning. I immediately called back and reminded them of what they promised and they told me they were working hard to try to find a replacement but no one was available. I was frustrated and furious. They said I'd receive a call no later than 7PM with an update to my appointment. I never received a call. I woke up early the next morning, took the day off of work and jetted to the cleaning aisles of Target to buy products. When I got home, there was a lady waiting for me, with little English. She did her work, while I wasted more time going back to Target to return items. Taking a day off of work because of their lack of communication is UNACCEPTABLE. My time is valuable and it was wasted on their behalf. Was I grateful that someone showed up and did the work, yes. Was her work marvelous enough for me to brush it all off, no... it was just ok. Was it ok for them to waste my time, absolutely not. I called to complain about this incident and the receptionist mentioned that the owner told her that she herself would call me and let me know what of my appointment status. She also mentioned their protocol is to notify/call the customer that their cleaning specialist will be arriving in an hour. I never received any calls or other forms of communications. I just stayed in suspense and ran around anxiously trying to figure things out. The receptionist told me that she would tell the owner what happened and at the very least should call me back to apologize. Still radio silence. You couldn't call to apologize? Really? I lost a day of work! If you want a company that puts up a front like they care for your business, but in actuality don't, then ago ahead and make your appointment. read more

Ordered this company to clean the house and explained I had a fairly large house. It was scheduled for a Monday 18th with two people, got a call during my vacation and it was rescheduled for a later time same day but 1 person. I explained it would be difficult and they said I can have it rescheduled on Wednesday 20th same week of August. Than 1 person actually showed up instead of 2, which the cleaner was over whelmed by herself. But 1 person can clean this house in 6 hours which is what I purchased. She took her own sweet time and I took a day off specifically to make sure things were in order. I have camera's installed throughout my house and was watching her how she was going through our things and cursing every time she passed my son in the hallways. She finished cleaning 1 large room with kitchen no floors vacuumed or moped and 2 bedrooms no vacuum or moped and 1 half bathroom. This is what she did for 6 hrs. She was so aggravated that she didn't want to clean the house by her self and knew that she wouldn't finish on purpose cause she gets paid regardless for those hours whether the job is done or not as she said to me. Than she wanted to leave earlier than her time was scheduled so I asked to her mop the floors because I have an infant home who craws all over in the large room she looked at me very angry and said "ok I will mop the floor and than I will leave." She started to mop for about a minute and said I don't need this bullshit and I am leaving and spilled a whole pile of water on my hardwood floors. I asked her to clean it up and she said NO. As I was standing next to her vacuum cleaner she grabbed all her cleaning stuff and merged out of the house. I asked her politely again and she said "you do it". I told her it wasn't my job that's why I hired a company. She left her vacuum cleaner at my house and said she will call the police. I called the company and explained the situation I was having with her and they said we can send you 2 people next morning for 1 hour and can someone pick up her vacuum cleaner that evening. I said I wasted the whole day with their cleaner at my house and I have other things I needed to do. They can pick up her vacuum cleaner tomorrow when other girls come. They agreed. So the next morning to girls came and obviously they also couldn't finish the previous girls job cause they only had 1 hr, but at least they were able to sweep the house and mope it. Two days later I get two detectives at my house stating I stole her vacuum cleaner and than the next day I get a call from a detective stating and I kept her hostage in my house. So, to make this story short I am very dis-satisfied with this company and didn't get their job done at all which I can say 30% of my house was done for 6 hrs. + 1 hr. I'm a busy guy and live in a house with several less than immaculate roommates, so my girlfriend thought it would be nice to treat me to a groupon cleaning service. She got the $65 for 4 hours groupon, more than enough time to clean the public areas of the house (which consisted of a large kitchen, two bathrooms that were about 150 square feet each and a wide open living room). None of the rooms were heavily furnished so it mostly consisted of floor and counter cleaning, bathroom cleaning, and dusting. I have cleaned the space many times and even when I've done a thorough job it hasn't taken me more than a few hours. The 1 star this review gets are solely for the friendly customer service staff who handled my call and updated me about my appointment and answered all the questions I had. They asked me what I wanted cleaned and I told them, letting them know it was all tile and asking if they required anything (they said they provide everything but paper towels) I never had a single issue with the reception staff. But onto the actual service. The service was initially scheduled for a Wednesday at 8:30-9:30am for 2 cleaners for 2 hours (1 cleaner for 4, 2 for 2) and as I worked, I made arrangements for a roommate to be home to make sure everything was fine. The night before, they called to change the appointment on me to 2pm. Luckily, the roommate didn't have plans until later so I was fine with this. The day of the cleaning, I received a number of calls from the company to change the schedule. First it was now going to be 2:30 or 3:30. Then it was going to be 3:30 but one maid for 4 hours. Then it was going to be 4 with 2 maids for 2 hours. Finally, they pushed it back one last time to 6pm with 2 maids (I can't be certain that that's the exact progression as they changed it 4 or 5 times, switching the number of maids again and again). I had to get another roommate to wait for them at the final appointed hour. While this was annoying, had they done a good job, I wouldn't be writing this review. When the two maids finally arrived at 6:05 pm, they had no mop. No MOP to clean the floors and unfortunately we had no mop at that point either (ours had finally given out and I hadn't replaced it). Immediately, one of the maids leaves to go buy a mop from a nearby store while the other maid gets to work. 15-20 minutes later, the original maid returns with some cheap mop she bought at a dollar store that they attempt to use only to discover it works like garbage. They then call someone to bring them a better mop. This mop arrives sometime later (the roommate failed to time this out as they only found out when the person arrived with the mop). At a few minutes shy of 8, the two maids inform the roommate that they'll be leaving and that they couldn't even get to the living room because their time was up (not even to give it a quick mop and clean). They left just after 8 pm. Upon arriving home, I was informed of all the details and examined the house. It looked passably cleaned, as if I had done the job myself (with a couple of rags, a mop, and a bit of cleaner). There was still dust in some of the corners and not all the surfaces even in the kitchen had been wiped down. I called Absolute Cleaning the next day to inform them, in an attempt to let them know about the situation. I was told a manager would call me back the next day so I could tell them about their service. I never ever heard from a manager. My girlfriend chose them because a lot of other cleaning companies were getting poor ratings for giving groupon customers mediocre or bad service and ironically, this one didn't have those reviews. Absolute Cleaning is the worst maid service and possibly even a scam. DO NOT USE THEM EVER!!! I only gave them 1 star because I had to in order to write this review. On the first try they showed up more than 1hr late for a 2hr cleaning so I had to reschedule. When they returned the failed to finish clean ANY room. In the bedroom they made the bed and vacuumed around it but didn't pick up any paper off the floor. They left the magazines on the floor and bedside table. Never dusted the table or the big wooden headboard or footboard. In the bathroom they didn't sweep the rugs and left streaks on every surface. In the kitchen they washed the few dishes we had in the sink. We later had to rewash them because there was food debris on practically all of them. The stove was left greasy until we had them go back and clean it. They also wet my wooden floors and left thie foot prints all over. They didn't clean the dining room at all. The glass table and sideboard were left dusty until my husband pointed it out. By then they were already out the door saying time was up. They never went into my family room. They said they didn't have time but if we paid them more money they would finish up. (This is the really shiesty part.) I immediately called Absolute Cleaning's office and was told the maids had been there two hours so they have to leave on time. Even if they didn't finish or do a good job. They also told me it took so long because we wanted them to dust the blinds. I pointed out that dusting the blinds is one of the first services listed on their website. Finally, the rep told me the only thing she could do was sell me another service and she would send out senior maids. WTH? Pay twice to get one service? I think not.
