ABSOLUTLEY the BEST Interlock business around. Unfortunately I have had 5 DUI's, so if anybody would know it would be me. I just recently realized however, that they closed permanently though and am very saddened by this. Scott & his team were always so thoughtful and made me feel like family every month when I walked through that door. it would be an absolute (no pun intended -ha!) dream come true if they opened their doors back up. I'm due to get another device installed in my car this week and feel totally lost now. I would rather make the drive to Lawrence to University Audio than go to anywhere else in the Johnson County area....they literally all are so blah and are all rude, not to mention a few I won't speak of are very corrupt and do not conduct business consistently with every customer I have noticed. First there was a change in KS law and interlocks had to have a new feature. 1- Have the checks to prove they were doing business with me but not reporting it to the State. 2 - They didn't know what they were doing and screwed up my electric system to the tune of $600. 3 - Instead of simply providing a service they acted like probation officers. 4 - When they screw up they blame the customer. Go elsewhere. The equipment is faulty and they will blame you for misses that have to do with their equipment. You may be inclined to accept that you made the mistake. Don't they have charged me over 150 dollars in fees that have to do with misses due--according to them--to failing to blow when it says to and when the car is shutting off. At this point I have become wise and vigilant and still just got dinged for another 50 after being very sure that I did not have 5 errors. A month ago I have 17 and told the guy that was not possible. He blamed me and insisted it was. When the number skyrocketed to over 50 and finally 182 he finally had to fess up that there was a problem with the cable--did I get my penalty back? No. So this month I came in confident--no problem. I am on it. 5 misses and he blamed me for not coming in a day or two sooner. (Apparently one or two of the misses were in the past day). Thing is, I am now fanatical about this thing and there were not five legit misses. The technology doesn't work and their M.O. is always to blame you because. . .well they can. I will start by saying getting a DUI is easily one of the most embarrassing and trying things I have ever gone through, and it is something that I hope other make better choices than myself, and don't have to go through it. What makes it all the more aggravating is the feeling that the companies that are supposed to guide you through the interlock process, are only their to get deeper into your pockets and gouge you at every possible turn. This comes with the feeling helpless, because this is a legally required component of getting your rights to drive back. I made the mistake of thinking the list provided by the state of out of town companies was my only path, and had I known it wasn't, I would have saved myself hundreds upon hundreds of dollars of my money, and hours of my time. The company I chose was Budget IID, it was a costly error. I learned immediately that I was just viewed as an atm, I was charged in excess of $600 of violation fees over the course of the year due to faulty equipment. The only saving grace of this whole experience was dealing with Scott and the guys at Absolute Interlock. They were personable, helpful, and knowledgeable. Every month without fail, I would show up to smiling faces, and a warm greeting. They took the time and provided the customer service I was hoping for from my designated company, even when I was not directly their customer. If I can make one suggestion to anyone going through this situation, it would be choose Absolute Interlock. You may not thank me later, because you won't have had to deal with what I did, but I will rest easy knowing this review may help someone in the future. Everyone be safe, and be well. read more
