So, I took it to Burnett and they actually drove it and experienced the problem--Olathe Jeep never took it off their lot. I spent less than $200 to have Burnett replace a sensor and my vehicle has been perfect ever since. Tried to charge me 1400.00 for an 8.00 part. said they did an inspection on my 220,000 Buick but never touched the car and instead copied what a diagnostic check said why the car was running hard. had they done a complete inspection, it would have been a long list, not just about spark plugs. Do they really think their customers are this stupid. I guess I am. I paid 177.00 for a diagnostic check. The part that caused the issue had never been touched by human hands. My daughter and I are fairly new to the area. Her break lights stopped working only a month after getting her new used car. I chose Burnett due to the location being super close to us - and not having to drive far without brake lights. I was fully prepared to pay a lot, thinking it was probably an electrical issue. Money I truly could not afford to spare due to having expensive medical issues to pay for. I was beyond thrilled when I learned it was only burnt-out bulbs and would only cost me 23.50!! Yes, twenty-three fifty! They are honest and very friendly as well. They did not even charge me for labor since it was so easy for them to do. They shadow-banned my google review, so I'll post it here anyway. If you require general maintenance, oil changes, tires and so forth, bring it here. If you have an issue, absolutely take it somewhere else. I specifically requested a pressure and bleed-down test to see if there was something going on with my rings or head-gasket or something else. I said I also had a misfire only at start up, and before I went through all the work replacing a ton of parts I wanted this test ran to verify the rings and headgasket before I continued. They initially quoted me about $200 for it. Of course they agreed to the test and said they had to test other things too, which I grudgingly agreed to because they kept being fussy about it. I dropped off the car, while I was leaving the shop manager ran out to tell me it would be $350 which I agreed without hesitation (Mkay, have fun!). They wasted an entire day, told me my sparkplugs were out of gap range which I didn't care to know, slathered a ton of RTV on the coolant diverter over my thermostat housing which I also didn't ask for, and when I went to pay they told me... to my face... "O we didn't do that silly pressure test or whatever you were asking for." I then asked if the engine itself was ok, like the head gasket and what not. "Yeah, it's fine, you have a coolant leak, and worn out sparkplugs." I don't know what part of "I don't care about those issues" didn't translate. I SPECIFICALLY requested a pressure \ bleed down test. They agreed to do so. Then they didn't do it, told me they didn't do it, and still charged me for other stuff I didn't care for and said the engine head gasket \ rings were fine. They didn't even care to use a chemical block tester. Granted they only charged me $90 something, but what he told me made me pursue major parts replacements and a transmission rebuild. If I had confirmation that the head gasket failed, which everything I personally knew said it was but they disagreed, I would have just replaced the engine. I'm not ASE certified... sure I've swapped a few engines in my time, but ultimately I'm just another dummy with a wrench. I expected more from them, and they failed me. I've spent over 7000 on my restoration project and their nonsense made me waste all of it and so many months of time and work. *** They are going to say it doesn't match their documentation. That is because they came up with their own absurd details. To be abundantly clear, for simple things (Tier 1 issues) like oil changes and what not, they are perfectly fine. But if you suspect a major issue (Tier 3) or if they mention a possible major expensive issue, GO somewhere else! This shop is tier 1 ONLY. My only advice to this shop is as follows: If a customer starts asking high level questions and requesting specific tests, send them to a shop nearby that has the skills to take on tier 3 issues. You're clearly not cut out for it. read more

As a woman, I've frequently found myself taken advantage of at other auto shops or upsold on unnecessary purchases, but this is never the case here. I'm am so disappointed. At first I really liked this place because the staff were so friendly and helpful and courteous. Now this may not speak for them but for whoever worked on my vehicle. I initially went in to get all my fluids checked and replenished as well as an alignment. Well 3 days later, my truck starts making a scraping sound when I turn right (some might say the services they did couldn't have caused this, hold on). My truck also continues to mark "low coolant" and I decide to check my oil. Low and behold, it was super low, almost empty leading me to believe either my vehicle wasn't serviced properly or was rushed. I took my vehicle to TWO other mechanics to get a second/third opinion and was told that whoever I had taken it to had moved my wheels or barring (I'm jot exactly knowledgeable on the subject) and caused this huge mess, although I can't prove it was Burnett auto. Anyway, I got everything fixed before my whole truck just went to shit. I hope whoever is responsible, since I really want to believe the staff's sincerity and courtesy doesn't suggest they'd con customers, is found and fired. Sadly, I don't think I can ever return out of fear of this happening to another vehicle. read more

I took my car in to fix rear window. it does not close. they charged me around $85 or so to diagnose the problem. they told me it is regulator. motor is OK, but suggested i replace it also. I told them to just change regulator. They charged me $125 labor + assessment fee + parts. Total of around $500 I argued why the assessment was not included in the total labor and was charged again. they said that they did spend 1 full hour to thoroughly check and identify the problem. The thing stopped working after one day. I took it back to them and they said that it has some other issue. So, what was the charge of $85 for originally, if they spent one hour to thoroughly check the problem. For the new repair, they charged another $45, but said that the labor is free. In the bill, the labor estimated was $70. So, why is it lower than the two times they charged originally? They said that they had to spend quite sometime to find this problem. They are NOT good at all, over charge and will never go back to them and won't recommend them read more

I had an emergency and needed two new front tires pronto. Burnett had the lowest yelp rating around my immediate area but I went out on a limb as they were close by. These guys went way beyond the call. The service was fast and prompt. The waiting room was spacious, modern and comfortable. The friendly conversation was genuine. They even machine sanded my rusty hubs and cleaned the blue off of the tires. All so that I would be able to take my tire off easily in the case of a flat. I could go on but I've made my point. I would definitely return in the future as no tire shop ever gave me that level of service. read more

My new mechanic shop! I highly recommend! I've taken my truck in to have a rim replaced, new tires put on, and a rotation - it went extremely well! I brought my SUV in to have the brakes checked to see if I need new brakes. To my surprise, I was sent a text with a video of the brake inspection showing me I didn't need new brakes! They've been very professional, nice, and accommodating when scheduling ‍services, dropping off and picking up my vehicles. Based on the three times I've been so far, they've earned my trust. I have been going to Burnett for a while now because it is closet to my house. I will admit it was rough at times because of a one technician they had that was TERRIBLE. He would try to get you do stuff that was completely unnecessary and he was rude. I swore I would never go to them again. Well, after not going back for a few months, I had no choice and gave them a try again. To my surprise, I found out they had fired the one technician and their new guy, Jeff, is a pleasure to work with and very helpful. He actually helps me find ways to save money. Not only is Jeff great to deal with but the manager Ben, is also a very nice guy. We have to remember that places have to make money but they do not have to rob us or make us feel stupid. I have been to them three times in the past six months and they are honest people. I have compared their prices to other places and they are lower on some things and higher on others but the important thing is they stand behind their work. Give them a try. read more

We have been using this location for six years. Over the last few visits, we've noticed that the friendliness of their staff and overall level of customer service has slipped substantially, to the point where we won't go back to this shop, which is in our neighborhood. Everyone used to be very friendly. Now the most recent people we've dealt with, James, and Ryland, who is the manager, act as though they don't have time for you, and they're actually more interested in just collecting your payment. It's a shame, because we have enjoyed the convenience and friendliness of this facility in the past, but with all the options that are available why go somewhere that's not friendly. Not to mention, especially with an auto mechanic, if they don't have time to talk to me, I trust them even less. read more

My tire light came on a day ago and, having gone through a sudden flat tire on 435, I wasn't going to mess around. Now, other tire shops I've been to have required appointments and have been filled up and charge you to look at your tires at all. Burnett got me in right away and I left 10 minutes later, and they didn't charge me a thing. Hard to find a shop nowadays that doesn't nickel and dime you, so I left ecstatic. I just had an incredible experience at this location. After dropping my oldest son off at preschool, my low tire pressure light came on. I stopped at Burnett with my 3 year old son. I was truly dreading the wait time because my son can be a bit of a terror. They took my keys right away and pulled my car in to check it out. Another employee engaged with my son, who was wearing a Spider-Man t-shirt. He took my boy over to a bin of toys and proceeded to pull out all kinds of superhero toys. My son was so excited! Crisis averted. For the few short minutes it took to air up my tires and check them for holes, my son was completely entertained! When it was time to go that same employee told my son he could take a few of the figures home, which avoided the expected tantrum! He even taught my son the real names of some of the superheroes! Oh and did I mention they didn't charge me a dime for airing up my tires and checking them? I have never received customer service like this! I am thoroughly impressed by their kindness! I took my car here for a 2nd opinion on brake work. All employees were informative, and polite. They explained every detail thoroughly and nicely, and didn't try to sell me services I didn't need! They said my brake pads & rotors were getting low, & I should pay good attention to any louder warning signals. They thought I should come back in a few months to check again. They suggested a brake fluid flush sometime later, which is much less expensive than the huge job I was told at the 1st place, that I went to. I went in to receive their free "29-Point Inspection" to have them take a look at my Ford. I knew the brakes were in-need, and my AC was out, but I knew when I went there that they wouldn't be included in the inspection. No big deal, right? Turns out, that after having my car there for 3.5 hours, I come to hear that "checking the brakes would cost $25" and that an AC inspection would be at least another $100. They didn't check the rest of the car or even do the actual "inspection" that I had asked for. All that mattered was getting that $125. Won't be returning. read more

I went here for $4000 worth of repairs. One repair was heater hoses, while driving a hose fell out of my car. Another repair was my air ride suspension. The rear end of my air suspension is now lower then the front. I have gone there 5 times and they still haven't turned off the check engine light. Also I've noticed scratches that look like sandpaper on the passenger side of my car. Lastly I forgot to leave my the key for my locking nuts in the trunk and they threw out my locking nuts instead of asking for the key. I strongly recommend avoiding this place. read more

I had a problem with my honda civic making a hard noise. i went to Burnett, and they said that my noise was occurring because of user error. They said its because i am not giving it gas when shifting it through the gears. They also quoted me on about 5k worth of full repairs to make my 10 year old car like new. Anyways, I told them it wasn't user error and that I understand the noises that come from shifting. They said they found the issue was something with my brake disc. I left there paying over $300 bucks, and still my annoying hard noise. very mad. went to kings auto, they told me it was my engine mount had gone bad. kings replaced engine mount and sure enough was the problem. basically i went to Burnett to feel like an idiot and to pay $300 to replace something that didn't need to be replaced! My recommendation, find a different place. read more
