Please educate your customer care on the difference between condos/townhouses and apartments. The lady was very nice but I had to explain 3 times that I owned my home and I didn't need anyone's approval to get a pest treatment. I called Absolute Pest Management after sighting rats in my back yard. I called other local companies but they all had longer wait times and Absolute Pest was the only one that could schedule an inspector visit that week. I was unimpressed with the inspector; he was on time and professional but very low energy and didn't instill much confidence in the solution he proposed. He didn't do much of an "inspection" either. He basically looked around my deck and recommended bait stations around my yard. A few days went by and a technician came by to install the bait stations. Unlike the inspector, I was very impressed with the technician, Jordan. He provided more insight and possible causes for the infestation problem than the inspector did. He was personable, knowledgeable, and a pleasure to work with. I also opted for the monthly cleaning/re-fill of the bait stations. After a couple of weeks I began to suspect that the poison had done the trick after smelling what I believe was a dead rat(s) rotting under my deck and not having seen any more droppings. Unfortunately, a couple of months came and went and no one called or stopped by about the cleaning/re-fill service I signed up for. Since I believe my rat problem is resolved for the moment, I'm not too concerned about the cleaning/re-fill and I'll probably remove the traps very soon. That being said, I'm taking 1 star for a lackluster inspection experience and another star because they seemed to forget me after I wrote them a check. read more

The process was frustrating but I can honestly say that the owner of this business was willing to do whatever it took to solve our problem and redeem his business in our eyes. I recently moved into a new house and was seeing bugs, primarily ants, so I wanted to get setup with an exterminator to keep the house as new as possible. The lady at the office even pointed out that there was a coupon on Yelp that would save me some money! I forgot about the appointment until that day, and needed to leave town for the weekend, so I called and they were very friendly and said they would try to get the technician there as early as possible (it was scheduled for 10-12). He showed up promptly at 10 and was gone a few minutes later. I really appreciate the quick response and friendly service from the office staff, and the technician did his job promptly and left. I did feel a little as though he did not do a thorough job since it was so quick but we will see I guess. read more

The technician was very polite and also was about educating me on what we were going to do. Everything he did that day got rid of the problems I was having. Life saver!! After dealing with ABC pest for two weeks with a raccoon in our house, we finally gave up on ABC helping us. In complete desperation we called Absolute, I can not even describe the world of difference in service we received!! They answered the phone right away listened to my sob story with ABC, and came out the same day to help us!! Robert was so nice, and patient with us! We've been using APM for 7 years for insect control. They arrive exactly when scheduled, or call to let us know of any changes. Recently we've been having Albert do the spraying, and he is especially thorough, although we can't complain about any of the APM men who've done our work. Never had any problems. When we point out anything unusual, we get an extra effort and an explanation about what we're seeing. Austin is identified as "humid subtropical" by the weather geeks. I started having scorpion problems after living here for almost 14 years. Doug came out and sprayed, and did a good job. But, more important to me, I have 3 dogs, who don't really like strangers. By the time Doug left, they were all over him wanting pats and scratches. I trust the judgement of my animals, and if they like him, then he has to be a good person! I am on a every three month contract, and have asked for Doug to come back. That way I don't have to worry about my dogs. Plus, so far, I have not seen any more scorpions. My neighbors called a different company to come spray, right before Doug came. He told me the other day that his daughter was stung on the foot by a scorpion. So, all I know is, they had their house sprayed, and still have scorpions. I had my house sprayed, and so far, no more scorpions. So, I highly recommend APM, and Doug. If you have pets, he is the guy to come out. He also ensures the safety of your pets while he is spraying. I can't say enough good things about them. read more

I am very unhappy with Absolute Pest Management. They are inconsistent with showing up to scheduled appointments. The times they haven't showed up (2 times in the past month), they haven't called to reschedule or apologize for making me wait for 3 hours for them to show up. I've had to call their office to reschedule my appointment. And we still have pest problems in our house after 3 months of them coming out regularly. I have noticed no improvement in our pest problem since they started coming out. read more

This company (the one with the first three letters of the alphabet) said I had mice and wanted $800 for eliminiting them. I called Absolute and said there is nothing to do as there are "absoltely" no rodents on my attic. Vince, our rodent tech, is second to none. The latest infestation took 3 months to get under control, but Vince was persistent, and always showed up when he said he was going to. He recommended different ways to discourage the rodents, and was always very thorough and professional. We finally got the situation under control, and I appreciate Vince not giving up on us. It's gotta be a real pain in the ass to run around attics in the Texas summer, but I never heard Vince complain. If you are reading this Absolute management, give Vince a bonus or promotion or raise, because he is the type of employee that gives your company a good reputation. Recommended. APM trapped and removed a squirrel that had moved into our attic and sealed up the hole, as well as another spot that could serve as an entry point in the future. Because of the holidays, there was a time lag between the removal of the squirrel and sealing the hole, and APM said they'd set another trap at no charge if something got in in the meantime. Very pleasant and professional staff. It wasn't cheap ($150 for trapping and removal, $125 for repairs), but I don't know how that compares to other companies. read more

Steve at Absolute was friendly and professional. He came out once a week for a couple of weeks to get rid of rats in our house. He was very courteous; for a typical house call he greeted us, asked if anything had changed since he was here last, then quickly took care of business, told us what the next steps were and then out the door. I just wanted to make sure I post my experience with this company. My apartment complex used then to take care of or units and would leave a letter when they were coming. I have a big dog so I need notice. I stayed home and waited all day for service. it was a No Call No Show. I got mad and called them up myself. They lied to me and told me my apartment manager was not here and they had no key. The next time they lied when I called and they told me they treated my apartment and that was not true I was home all day waiting for them. So they sent a guy to do an inspection and he said they would do a Roach Out Treatment. I would be charged $75 Dollars if I did not do the prep right for the treatment. I had a few days to get ready and I also have a broken arm so I had to get help to clear out all my things in two rooms for the treatment of a very small apartment and I had to go find boxes to store my things in as I waited. They were a No Call No Show again. I called them and was LIED to again and told I was not home and the manager was not here to give them a key. This was on a Thursday. I was able to get the service on a Friday so I did not have to go the weekend with my kitchen things in boxes. My manager of my apartment complex called them and they lied to her as well so she Let Them Go and found a new company to help us residents with much better service and not have employees hang up on you on the phone and lie to you about false records. If they treat your apartment and you are not home they should leave a note saying they were in your apartment. They also leave an invoice with the office if your apartment has been treated no document of any kind and no proof that my apartment was treated. They played the blame game and were rude to me on the phone being I was put out by them wasting my time. I needed pest control treatment the roaches were crawling in my bed with me and my dog. I got the feeling our apartment complex was not important to them because it is lower income and part time management and office hours. The Apartment complex is old and run down but that should not be a reason to be disrespectful to the residents you have a contract with for pest control services. It is respectful to keep your appointments that were made in writing with letters and notice of the Pest Treatment. I want everyone to know I was very put out because I have a dog and they would not enter my apartment unless I was home to protect them. I think this review is important for others to see who have pets when they are asked to kennel them for pest control service. I am not happy with them and my apartment manager fired them. read more
