I had Berrett for a total of four years. The first three years were good. The past year made me cancel. Berrett has poor communication except for the numerous attempts to upsell me. The most recent visit they only gave 15 minutes notice before coming by, so I had no time to unlock the side gate and let them into the backyard. They didn't service it and just left without telling me. They charge $133 to come by every 3 months to spray around for 5-10 minutes with no proof of service other than a photo of the front of your house. You know what bugs me? Last quarter their technician did not show up for hours past their arrival window, no call, no explanation just didn't arrive until hours later. Fast forward to my current service and they didn't write me or call me to tell me about it; then they send me an email telling me they performed it which they NEVER did. I was home and outside the entire day working on a project at my house and not once did an employee show up. Called and advised them of this so they rescheduled me to the next day only to tell me that day their technician could not come. When I called back to have it rescheduled they advised me they can only spray my inside of home and not outside since they already "sprayed" outside.... I again advised them I was home all day and no one ever sprayed my outside and that was unethical as I pay for a quarterly service to have my outside treated and they essentially kept refusing telling me they could only schedule me for an inside spray. So bottom line they are not reliable, liars and will take your money and not perform the service you pay for. Hire another company for your pest control needs as these guys suck. read more

Dishonest, Disorganized, and Not Worth the Price I went with this company because they responded quickly and quoted $220, promising same-day animal pickup--even on weekends. They took payment without disclosing additional charges, then added $75 more later. Despite being told they'd call at 8 a.m. Saturday, I got no call until 1:00 p.m.--30 minutes before they arrived. I was then informed they wouldn't pick up any animal caught until Monday. Their tech showed up with a smaller trap than the one I already bought on Amazon (which their salesman claimed was too small), smeared peanut butter everywhere, and left sardine oil all over our deck. Their promises about trap size, weekend availability, and response time were all lies. They misled us to get our business, and now they're unreachable--no manager available, no accountability. Yesterday the person answering the phone said staff were out sick. Today the person answering the phone said the manager's phone is broken, and he cannot hear on it. Why wouldn't he just use someone else's phone to call us back? The only reason I chose them was to avoid raccoon damage while we're away for surgery. I regret not going with a more reputable company like ABC Pest, who charges the same but is actually honest. Avoid this bait-and-switch company. read more

I recently hired Berrett Pest Control to handle a raccoon issue in my attic, and my experience has been extremely disappointing. From the start, I told three different technicians that I believed the access point was on the roof. Not one of them checked, despite my repeated requests. It wasn't until I called the office and specifically asked for someone with a ladder that they finally looked, and sure enough, the access point was exactly where I said it was. Even worse, the technicians set a trap directly against a duct vent. When the raccoon was caught, it tore into the ductwork, causing $1,400 worth of damage that could have been completely avoided with a bit of care and common sense. To make matters worse, all three technicians had previously told me that nothing in the attic appeared damaged. Throughout this process, the team consistently left a mess after each visit, and the lack of communication has been frustrating. A manager told me I'd have an update by Monday; it's now Wednesday, and I've still heard nothing. I work in sales, so I understand that things can go wrong. But what matters most is how a company responds, and so far, the accountability and follow-through here have been non-existent. Given the circumstances, I don't believe I should be responsible for the $1,400 in damage their actions caused. I'm sharing this review not to vent, but because if this were my business, I'd want to know. I truly hope Berrett takes this feedback seriously and works to improve their service and communication going forward. read more

Chris was professional, friendly and helpful. I originally had thought that this appt was cancelled and moved til Saturday because although it was my quarterly service appointment, I wanted to add mosquito treatment and y'all were unsure if Chris would have the equipment needed on his vehicle. He texted me and let me know he was on his way and arrived at my house, and when I explain to him the situation, he said that he did, in fact have the mosquito treatment on his vehicle, and that he would be willing to do it however, he just needed to be dispatched for it. I reached out to y'all at the office, and it worked out that he was dispatched. Chris then followed up with a very detailed email about what he found and what he had treated - apparently I had six active wasps nests as well as fire ants in my yard that I was unaware of. They came out the very next day and not only sprayed for wasps and other assorted insects/spiders, but they also removed all of the wasp nests they could find. GRADE D- Called Berrett back in FEBRUARY to address a Squirrel problem. They convinced me they could trap it quickly and efficiently. $166. dollars and three weeks later...squirrel was STILL ACTIVELY NESTING in our attic. After a no show follow up appt( waited the whole day), I called and spoke to a manager about our PREDICAMENT and impending vacation and he convinced me that they would be able to close up any entry points and rid us of our pest within the week which was two weeks before we left for vacation. Promised to have his guy 'Ozzie' call or come by the next day. Ozzie never called or came over. The manager did not either. I have since called their offices 3 times and asked for an owner to please contact me. No one has called, no refund issued and I am out $166. for a $4 trap( 4"x9") with some peanut butter pellets. This company is far from professional and DOES NOT STAND BEHIND THEIR ADVERTISEMENTS/ Claims and PROMISES In addition, they are GAUGING THEIR CUSTOMERS .
