After talking to a few pest companies, not only did they get the species of ants wrong (acrobat vs carpenter) which affects the bait being used, but they also can't get their story straight. I contacted them about an ant infestation inside my home. The technician who came out placed sugar bait inside to eliminate colony. He told me that an exterior treatment was not necessary at that time. I accepted that recommendation, due to potential exposure for my active dog. Months later, I called to follow up because the ant problem had not been resolved. I was then told the $216.50 treatment of simply adding sugar bait for the interior also included exterior treatment during the original visit. That was surprising because I was never told an exterior treatment had been done. When I asked where it had been applied, they did not give me a clear answer regarding the exterior. Paying for another treatment isn't the issue. If the ants require another visit, I'm happy to pay for it. My concern is that the explanation of what was actually done has changed. Now, they're saying I have to pay another $216 for their services again. Something just isn't adding up. If there's a reasonable explanation, I'd like to hear it. Based on the conflicting information, I have little confidence in their service.

One thing I really appreciated was that they identified a honey bee colony on my property. Instead of simply treating it, they let me know so I could have the bees safely rehomed before they started producing honey inside my walls. That level of care and attention really stood out. The quarterly exterior treatments have been well worth it for me. Wasps and ants are a recurring issue around my home, so keeping up with regular service has made a big difference. If I have a specific problem between visits, like a wasp nest, they're quick to come out and take care of it. Most of what I need is included in the annual service. Mosquito treatment is an additional charge, but that's separate from the standard plan. I also appreciate that they don't push unnecessary interior treatments when there aren't any issues. Their pricing is competitive, and their payment and scheduling system is excellent. It's easy to manage appointments, and they're very responsive by text whenever I have a question or need service. Overall, I've been very happy with Atex and would definitely recommend them.

I spoke to rep, Cameron, at (972) 391-7834 and to cust serv rep, Kayla, who both confirmed tech, Aubray Rivera, of Barefoot Mosquito & Pest Control was still confirmed to render service, as scheduled and agreed to today. I have all receipts, time stamps, and recordings of these conversations. Unfortunately, as of this writing, it is 4:07pm on Monday, June 8, 2026, and still no word from the Barefoot Mosquito & Pest Control technician...and these guys have my credit card on file...and I took off 4 hours of work today to commit to being present for my service as we agreed and was stood up. Absolutely horrible waste of my time and what a horrible company experience. When I handed him the inspection report, he had the nerve to ask me to "type out what I needed in a spreadsheet and send it to him". Isn't that his job and the job of the service manager to know what the job consist of, what the costs will be, and what they are going to charge BEFORE they send a technician? After dealing with 6-7 different dispatchers, service managers, and technicians, the only competent people I dealt with were Kristen and Caleb. I feel bad for them, as they are caring, thorough and competent. They are stuck dealing with all the other representatives that don't. I would steer clear of this company unless you have 3-4 weeks to waste waiting for someone who knows what they're doing to assist you. Horrible, unsustainable business model ABC has in place. I wouldn't be surprised if this company goes under in the very near future. Sad.

I was a case-study in how NOT to maintain my dryer duct: It had been almost 20 years since it had been cleaned. We bought a new drier, which shut down due to restricted air flow. I had had a competitor come out the day before Omer's visit; while friendly, all they had was a hand-operated floppy brush more suited to HVAC ducts. They had no luck, and suggested I just move the dryer out to the garage and put in a new duct! Omer arrived with 2 different cameras, and a range of stiff brushes which he worked with his drill, in very tight spaces, and was finally able to dislodge what must have been a 10#, soaking wet mass of lint. He installed an upgraded flexible duct and a new outside duct cover, and cleaned everything up. I've learned my lesson: call Lady Bird out annually, and request Omer!

Allan was very responsive throughout the entire process, and was available to discuss services with him 15 minutes after submitting. Pricing and payment was transparent and a smooth process. The inspection report was very thorough with pictures and written in terms I could understand. Allan checked items I wouldn't have even considered and made several ongoing maintenance suggestions. He used a drone to inspect the roof, thermal cameras to inspect HVAC and insulation, electrical outlets, water systems, appliances, etc. Discovered several items I wouldn't have noticed (or at least not until they became serious issues). I felt as if Allan was inspecting the house from the perspective he was going to buy it himself, and left no stone unturned. Highly recommend DLB Check.

I called J&J not knowing what to expect, and I had no idea what I was dealing with. I thought it could have been bed bugs or fleas but I had no clue. I also had problems with roaches and it was freaking my wife out. She INSISTED that I find SOMEONE to "take care of those nasty things." When I called, the phone was immediately answered. I'm not sure who I spoke with initially, but she was very nice and very helpful. I got connected to Monica, who is AMAZING. I started describing my situation and she said she wasn't positive of what it was, but stated that she could get a technician out there. Before she even suggested a day, she asked what was convenient for me. I threw out a few different days and she looked on the schedule. She informed me that someone could be out on the Thursday afternoon that I suggested (between 1 and 4). She gave me all the information I needed and said that Terry would give me a call thirty minutes before he got out. That Thursday, I left work at 12:30 to head home and wait for Terry. He gave me a call on the way home and let me know that it would be a little later in that time frame due to some complications at another job, but he would be there between 3 and 4. I went home and cleaned up enough to where he could treat, and he called me at 2:30, letting me know he'd be there in 30 mins. I kid you not, at 3:58 he pulls up and greets me on the porch. He asked about the problems I was having and informed me about each of the possibilities. He looked around and THANK GOD, no bed bugs. But, he did treat for the roaches. He let us know that it may take up to two weeks to see results, because thats about how long it takes for the chemical to work. It didn't take very long for him to treat, so I was a little worried. It has been 3 weeks since then, and the problem has gone away. and incidentally, we're no longer itching. I'm considering getting on their quarterly service so that the problem doesn't keep coming back. I AM VERY SATISFIED. I would definitely recommend getting service with them. Happy wife, Happy life. I called in regarding a few questions about what type of pests they 'treat' for, what products they use and hoe much. When I began to get more specific about the issue I was having, I was placed on hold. So that my point is clear, this has nothing to do with the representative who took my call, but with the manager. The representative came back after 30 seconds to a minute, and started to answer my question. While she was speaking, I started to not be able to understand because another woman's voice could be heard talking over her. The girl eventually gave up trying to tell me whatever she was going to say and let the other woman finish. I assumed the other woman walked away, and I asked who was that and what was going on. I was told by the representative it was her manager and the manager was trying to tell her what to tell me. Why would the manager not instruct their rep while a customer was on hold? It was rude and made it seem like the manager told her the wrong thing to begin with, and talking over your employees while a customer is on the phone is unacceptable and made the company seem very disorganized. If this is how the office is run, it made me fear about the tech who would come out to service my home and yard. The rep was completely professional after what happened and I applaud her for keeping her cool. However, because of the display from the manager, I am going to pass and search for another company as I do not have faith in a company run like that. read more

J&J saved our home. Our problem wasn't roaches or fleas... it was RATS. Lots and lots of rats. Our next door neighbors keep chickens, and with the recent floods, the rats moved in under our house in hordes. Our property management company was advised, and they called J&J. The technician, Kareem, came out several times, and went way beyond the call of duty to help us. He was polite, helpful, attentive to our concerns and did an excellent job that can only be described as "heroic". Roaches and fleas are certainly unpleasant, but our rat problem was the stuff of nightmares, literally. J&J saved the day. If not for them, we would have had to move. They can handle any pest problem this side of zombies, so you can bet they can handle yours! 5 stars. read more

I've had several service calls from this company: 1) while spraying for roaches (brought in by my new neighbors) I discovered a snake (ack!) - the tech picked it up, placed it in a paper bag and released it in the country. 2) the roaches were gone quickly from the treatment and the little bait stations placed in the house. They were very careful about the products they used as I have a dog. 3) A raccoon was trapped on the roof next door and it was in distress. I called J&J and one of their techs came out on her own time and she, I, and the neighbor next door built a make-shift ramp and got the raccoon down safely. That's caring about animals! When they came in to look everything over and I explained that we had to figure out how to do this safe and chemical free. Monica just smiled and said no problem I can do that. They did put bait down, but if my dog or cat got into it.... they were safe, no worries. No sprays... no worries. They were gone just like she said they would be. We have used J & J Pest Control for over 15 years and they have always done a great job at controlling insect/pest populations at our home. The technicians are very knowledgeable, friendly, and know the effects of the chemicals on the environment (and animals) they use in and around our home. I have chickens, indoor parrot, and cats, so my concern has always been the chemicals used near these animals. J & J has always taken the necessary precautions around these pets when treating our home for insects/pests. I highly recommend this company.
