This is the only place I go to have my car worked on. My husband has been a customer for over 20 years and they've always done right by us. One of the former mechanics taught him how to drive stick. We get our oil changes done and any other maintenance or repairs as needed from tiny fixes to larger issues. Al, Kenny, and recently Matt are always personable and willing to answer questions. It's always easy to get in touch with with via phone. We've never felt that they do things that aren't necessary and when it comes to bigger jobs/higher costs they call and discuss options etc prior to the job being completed without the customer having a say. Absolutely automotive done a VERY good job in a cursed car , yes I know my car gave them hard time but they made it with love, Matt was so nice and great helper he came into my house to pick up my car with his towing truck it was late night, The owners and the crew was super helpful. I come home after my 8:00am to 7:00 pm work day to see my car was vandalized.OH! Better call absolutely Automotive. It started with the phone call, the man was very kind . He said I can pull in after my 6:00 am to 8:00 pm job. I courageously pulled into the auto shop, ready to get my car all fixed up! . When I pulled into the shop, the car scraped the wall, no problem! I'll just pull out . The car then scraped the wall even more, leading my car to need further repair. The people here were very nice, they fixed up my car no problem. After a couple days of driving the repaired car, I start to realize that the car makes a squeak and a rattle, every time i shift, I love the new sounds! I'm not from around Marlboro, but I was visiting someone for a few days. During the last hour of my 6 hour trip, my check engine light came on and my car felt shaky. Brought it in to them during my stay in Marlboro as I did not feel comfortable driving it all the way back. I explained my situation, and they had it diagnosed, ordered a part, and fixed the problem completely, all in under two hours. I'll tell ya, this place is far and ahead of it's competition. I was referred to them by a friend who was a new customer and also very happy. Even though I had alot to say about my car, they made sense of it all and were incredibly accomodating! I definetely got a fair price and they didnt get mad if I offered to get my own parts to save money (alot of places get snooty about it). While on vacation my wife's brakes went. We are 150 miles from home. Went to the new paltz location and Tony was great. Having been fortunate to have had many good, reliable, mechanics over the years, I can tell you that whether you are a person walking in for the first time, as I was once, or you have been a customer for years, as I am now, I would drive out of my way to use them. They have never done anything more than asked unless it has involved the safety of my car and then they either call first or just do it as a courtesy without charge. This place is where you go if you need your car FIXED. These guys dont do anything shady and are there to help you with your car troubles. The labor is $95 an hour but they work fast and will get your car running. I only go to them for my car issues and would recommend anyone to go to them. These guys are experts!!!! read more

My husband and I broke down at 4 pm on a VERY hot day. We called several garages before Absolutely Automotive agreed to tow us. They stayed until 8:30 that evening to get us on our way safely. I have to say this was the best experience I have had with an auto repair shop. My Ford Taurus had a caliper that locked up. I got two quotes from other shops (including Ford) and Absolutely Automotive not only came in less expensive but they were honest, reliable, very nice and accommodating. While I was there they quoted me such a low price on tires that I had them do that work as well. I told everyone about my experience and my friend brought her 10 year old Jeep in for a host of problems, (rear power window wasn't working - motor wasn't working, drivers power seat wasn't working, rear hatch hinges were broken) and they not only quoted her less than half of what the dealership wanted to fix the issues they even cleaned her headlights when she mentioned how hard it was to see because of the film that built up on them. I am not one to post on here (this is my first review) but when you get excellent service from a quality business I think it is important to show your appreciation. Well done guys...Oh and they also told me that now that I am a customer if my car breaks down to give them a call and they will tow me for free...Hope I never need that but knowing they will bring my car in for free and that they didn't overcharge me for the service they did is AWESOME. read more
