From the minute I walked in they were so welcoming and helpful and took time to show me different sprays they made, vases, etc. They were so helpful and sweet. AC florist made a painful situation not so painful. Delivery was early and the driver was very helpful and patient as the church wasn't ready yet for the flowers to go inside. I was recommended AC Florist by my MIL. It's owned by a kind and gracious Korean family. I ordered large wreaths a month apart and they both came out absolutely stunning. It's was around $400 + Delivery (I don't remember how much I was charged). I definitely got my moneys worths on the wreath, we got a tons of compliments. Everyone kept asking where I ordered this from. The pictures don't do it justice. They even made it a point to call the day after the funeral to check if we liked it. Called because I needed a wrist corsage, I could barely understand the woman who answered, then she asked me when I needed it, and she proceeds to tell me I need to come in to order it. Barely understanding her, I confirmed that she's telling me I needed to come in to order. (I work M-F and very difficult to make it there by 6) and wanted to order it via phone. I told her if I need to come in to the store then nevermind. She calls me 2 minutes later, leaving me a voicemail saying "Don't be mad, I need to get color of ribbon, what color flower, that's why, so don't be mad." I sure wished that she would've explained all that to me when I initially called instead of rushing me off the phone repeating that I need to come in. We ordered an arrangement from them for my grandpa's funeral. The only request we had was that they make something with two puppies and blue flowers. A.C. Florists surpassed all expectations. One of my favorite go-to floral shops thats close to home! Truly a hidden gem located directly across from McDonalds at Aiea Bowl, underneath the structure. If you catch them while theyre open you wont regret it. Its a small shop with about a two-person in-store capacity. Coolers full of leis, flower arrangments, and single flower -- Just tell the staff what you need and they can get it done for you. Very personable staff who have lots of experience under their belts. My most recent experience was buying lei for a birthday and when I told the staff that it was my dads birthday they gave me a free lei! I wasnt expecting it but they said it was day-old lei, so discounted pricing anyways, and they gave it to me as I was on my way out the door. Who knew a florist shop would also provide one of the most outstanding mandoo you have ever tasted?!?! AC Florist is located in Aiea Shopping Center, on the second level (same as McDonald's). It's really small, so don't go driving out of the parking lot having missed it. It's tucked away under the covered parking stalls. I had read a small article about this place in an email I received one day. Their hours are Monday - Saturday from 10:30 am to 3:00 pm. This is almost impossible for me to ever get to because of my weekday work hours and earlier parts of my Saturdays are usually busy. Luckily, I had a Saturday off to myself, so I made my way down there to check out this mysterious mandoo. The people who run this place are so cute! They cater to your every need while you are there. I had no idea how to place my order because I wasn't sure if you just ordered them individually or in a box of some sort. You order them individually at $1.50 each. Each mandoo is filled with pork, beef & vegetable, chives, green onion, tofu, cabbage, egg, long rice, mushroom, and onion. Boy oh boy do you get your money's worth! I liked that each mandoo is made with a thin wrapper and a large amount of filling...just the way I like it! It also comes with a dipping sauce. This florist shop is quite small, so you can wait inside or there is a table with a bench outside. I chose to wait inside because it was chilly that day. On a regular day, I may have chosen to sit outside because it is quite tight in there. Be prepared for them to offer you water (and give you a cup of water even if you politely decline), a chair to be MADE to sit on, or possibly even a sample of mandoo while you wait for your order. At the time that I had placed my order, the lady who makes the mandoo was in the process of starting a new batch. She was very apologetic that it would take some time to make the batch and wasn't able to give me a sample. I told her it was no worry because I was just excited to get it fresh. I can't wait to visit their little shop again one day to get these amazingly delicious mandoo! I wish their hours were more accessible, but that just makes the longing for and finally getting it THAT much more gratifying. Tip: Make sure you have cash on hand...this is a CASH ONLY establishment. read more

My family and I were referred to AC florist for my dad's funeral by another florist who couldn't accommodate us due to the busy holiday season. Hearing that they were a relatively new business, I was a little apprehensive. However, we decided to just order what needed and I was thankful that they were able to accommodate us. The owner assured my mom that she would make everything beautiful. Her husband told us he would be delivering the wreaths to the mortuary before the family arrived at 8:30 a.m. for the private viewing before the service. When we walked into the chapel, we were overwhelmed with emotion at how beautiful all the wreaths and flower arrangements were. Upon closer inspection, I noticed how luxurious and thick all the flowers were on the wreaths. This speaks to their quality of work and workmanship. NO! I did not come here today to buy flowers. I came to buy Mandoo!! KING MANDOO to be exact! Whaaat!? I saw a multi-sided sign on the 1st floor of Aiea Shopping Center next to the escalator. I didn't get a picture of the sign, but got one of a smaller wall version I will attach. On the sign, some delicious looking steamed mandoo. It said King Mandoo. I thought whoo-Hoo new eatery in the shopping center. I opened Yelp to search for it. Huh! Nothing!? Not even in a Google Search!? The bottom of the sign shows AC Florist 2nd floor. Looking at the sign, I just thought multiple vendors being showcased so consumers know what is on the other floors. My brain did not associate mandoo w/a flower shop. I call the shopping center's business office, & nice gal informs me that: "No, there isn't a new Mandoo restaurant, the Flower Shop has actually added a new venue to it's store". Interesting! I call, confirm this & order 6 mandoo. I snapped a few photos outside, showing both the AC Florist & the wall version of King Mandoo! There is a picnic type table outside for anyone who would like to eat their mandoo right away! Nice touch! When you enter, it is a small shop. Flowers to the right, mandoo to the left. I was greeted by 2 very sweet ladies. My 6 mandoo came to $9.00. Seems a bit expensive for 6 steamed mandoo, but when you see the size of those bad boys, it's understandable! I shot a picture of one on a small plate (on a piece of lettuce so you can see it better instead of white on white). I realized it doesn't really give you a true visual of size so I move it to the center of my palm! KING MANDOO! I get it now! It was very delicious. Although I do prefer mandoo that is fried, this was just as satisfying. Soft pillows filled w/pork, beef, chives, green onions, tofu, cabbage, egg, long rice, mushrooms & onions. Served with a soy/vinegar? sauce. I didnt use the sauce. I only like the sauce at Soon's Kal Bi in Salt Lake Shopping Center. They spoiled it for everyone else. I will actually sip that one till it's gone! The only 2 things that kept this one from being 5 stars is my pickiness about sauces & their preference of cash for mandoo. This might be because it was already a little after 3pm which is what the sign shows, but disappointing for me me since I get 3 percent cash back on dining on my Sam's MC, which helps me to treat myself in these little indulgences. read more
