NO! I did not come here today to buy flowers. I came to buy Mandoo!! KING MANDOO to be exact! Whaaat!? I saw a multi-sided sign on the 1st floor of Aiea Shopping Center next to the escalator. I didn't get a picture of the sign, but got one of a smaller wall version I will attach. On the sign, some delicious looking steamed mandoo. It said King Mandoo. I thought whoo-Hoo new eatery in the shopping center. I opened Yelp to search for it. Huh! Nothing!? Not even in a Google Search!? The bottom of the sign shows AC Florist 2nd floor. Looking at the sign, I just thought multiple vendors being showcased so consumers know what is on the other floors. My brain did not associate mandoo w/a flower shop. I call the shopping center's business office, & nice gal informs me that: "No, there isn't a new Mandoo restaurant, the Flower Shop has actually added a new venue to it's store". Interesting! I call, confirm this & order 6 mandoo. I snapped a few photos outside, showing both the AC Florist & the wall version of King Mandoo! There is a picnic type table outside for anyone who would like to eat their mandoo right away! Nice touch! When you enter, it is a small shop. Flowers to the right, mandoo to the left. I was greeted by 2 very sweet ladies. My 6 mandoo came to $9.00. Seems a bit expensive for 6 steamed mandoo, but when you see the size of those bad boys, it's understandable! I shot a picture of one on a small plate (on a piece of lettuce so you can see it better instead of white on white). I realized it doesn't really give you a true visual of size so I move it to the center of my palm! KING MANDOO! I get it now! It was very delicious. Although I do prefer mandoo that is fried, this was just as satisfying. Soft pillows filled w/pork, beef, chives, green onions, tofu, cabbage, egg, long rice, mushrooms & onions. Served with a soy/vinegar? sauce. I didnt use the sauce. I only like the sauce at Soon's Kal Bi in Salt Lake Shopping Center. They spoiled it for everyone else. I will actually sip that one till it's gone! The only 2 things that kept this one from being 5 stars is my pickiness about sauces & their preference of cash for mandoo. This might be because it was already a little after 3pm which is what the sign shows, but disappointing for me me since I get 3 percent cash back on dining on my Sam's MC, which helps me to treat myself in these little indulgences. read more

Thank you Yelp for this recommendation! I needed to buy a floral arrangement so looked for somewhere recommended and ended up at AC Florist. I know the parking can get bad at Aiea Shopping Center but I lucked out and found a stall in the 20 minute parking area. There were a handful of pre-made arrangements to choose from and most seemed to be in the $35-50 range. I'm sure she can make others depending on your budget and taste. There were also assorted baskets, vases and ceramic vases available on display that I'm guessing you could choose from for a customized arrangement. The service was great, the owner was very polite. She even took the time to put my arrangement in a special box so that it wouldn't tip over during transportation. AC Florist is located in the Aiea Shopping Center, 2nd floor - the same floor as McDonalds (1 floor below Aiea Bowl, 1 floor above Times). read more

Of course I procrastinated (again!) in ordering a bouquet for my son's winter banquet. Thanks to fellow Yelpers' reviews and photos I gave this place a try, and am sure glad I did. Considering that wristlets cost $30-60, the prom bouquet I ordered only cost a little more and had a dozen beautifully arranged roses in it. And on short order, too! The couple who run the shop are very cute and seemed concerned about doing their best for their customers, including carefully packing the bouquet so it would stay fresh. The owner even shared some of their cookies with me, how nice! AC Florist is a great shop to buy flowers for special occasions. read more

I was looking for a florist who would be able to make a custom design for a celebration of life wreath. I searched high and low and found AC Florist, who also delivers on Sundays. There are a lot of florists that do not deliver on Sunday. Custom flower orders do not come cheap. AC Florist seems to be run by a woman who does the front-end and her husband who is the designer. They are known for their 3D designs (see other pictures on Yelp), but they were willing to do a 2D for a cheaper price. My total was a little over 1K, to be paid on the day you order. Unfortunately, I cannot review about the quality of the product as the celebration of life was postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. I was able to get a partial refund for mostly everything except for the banner I ordered. I'll update my review if I end up placing the order again. I would definitely go to AC florist if I ever wanted to place a custom order. read more

05/08/20: I LOVED this custom arrangement I got for my grandma for Mother's Day! With everything that's been going on with COVID, I'm thankful that this florist was open! Location: Second floor of the Aiea Shopping Center, right across the street from Aiea Medical. Although it shares the lot with McDonalds, Ice Garden, and Makoto Sushi, parking is plentiful and never a problem. The owner of this shop is sooo cute and English is her second language! It can be a little challenging to understand her at times but it's honestly not even a problem because what she DELIVERS as far as quality -- I'll always return to AC Florist for all my floral needs :) read more

We are thrilled with the service and the arrangements are superb. My Aunty who lives in California frequently orders from this shop. The delivery person is courteous, calling ahead to ensure we are home, and clearly explains the best way to ensure the arrangement lasts as long as possible. We went to return the vases and the owner, Young (sp?), listened to my mom explain why I received the arrangement in the first place. She came out of the shop to the car where I was still convalescing and when I told her how much I appreciated her arrangement, she offered to put together a small bouquet to help my recovery. We need more caring, compassionate people like her and the delivery person in our neighborhood. I am so happy they are in ours and will certainly call them when I need flowers delivered. read more

(I intended to post this when it happened, but forgot it in my drafts. Oops! ) On Labor Day so many places are closed despite the name. Haha! Anyways, I noticed on Facebook today, my friend posted that she was emotional without saying why. I felt bad for her as I know she has always struggled with low self-esteem and depression. I decided to stop by this florist in Aiea because my friend lives in Pearl City. I called before going down because I originally was going to get cupcakes, but they were closed for the holiday. When I got there, there was a table outside to the left of the locked front door with hand sanitizer and a note on the door saying to knock and someone would come out to take my temperature upon entry. I walked into the very tiny hamanee and habajee store. Korean lady and her mixed ethnicity husband run the shop. She said that her flowers weren't coming in until tomorrow. I quickly peered into the fridge and aside from rose arrangements, I saw a very cute petite arrangment. It had three roses, baby's breath and some of a few other flowers and some red berry looking plant. I told the lady I wanted that and she added more flowers to it for no additional cost. The owners of this shop are so sweet! We stopped by to grab flowers for a friend who'd just had a baby (it was very last minute) and they were still able to help us out! We got a flower arrangement that contained different types of flowers, all were so pretty, and it even came with a "It's A Boy" plaque and card for us to write in. Of course we got it to go, so she wrapped it all in plastic and put it into a nice carrying box for us. Their credit card machine broke and we had to go get money out of the ATM (only 20's) so we weren't able to give them the other $4 of the cost, but they said it was okay and let us go anyways. I thought that was really nice considering her last-minute work for us. I will definitely be coming back when I need more flowers or arrangements! Sent my mom flowers and it took one simple phone call! I live in the mainland and wanted to send my flowers. I have used an online delivery service before and didn't want to go that route again! Thanks to a yelp reviewer who also lives in the Mainland, I was able to make this happen! I communicated with the florist through text to accurately give the address and text her certain flowers that I wanted in the arrangement. I trusted her to create something big and beautiful and she did!! The flowers cost me $121 already including the $15 delivery fee so basically about $105 for the arrangement which is not bad at all!!! read more

Really love this hole-in-the-wall florist shop. I came in on a Monday looking to get a flower bouquet to bring to my parent's grave site. I was greeted warmly as I walked in by this eldery lady who I found very charming. I talked to her about what I wanted. She said that she could definitely help me. Off she went about gathering flowers here and there, other items like laces, plant water, plant food everything needed to make a very pleasing bouquet of flowers. I was very happy with what she came up with. When I asked how much and she told me the price I was shocked that it was that low. I thought it would have cost at least $20 but it was much cheaper than that. I paid her in cash and thanked her heartily with great appreciation and respect. It's like she knew how I felt and wanted to help me convey that in the flowers that I was purchasing. That is something I had not felt with other florists. Yelp didn't steer me wrong on this one! Somewhere in my archive of reviews is a reason I boycott Watanabe Floral, so I've been seeking out smaller businesses who do amazing work and provide awesome customer service (basically the opposite of Watanabe). My poor Grams underwent surgery and I was scrambling around trying to find a florist that I could just pick something up quickly after work and be on my way. It's a small cozy shop located in the middle level of Aiea Mini mall (above Times, below Alley bowl) Parking is no issue. When you enter they have a good amount of pre-made arrangements located to the right of the shop. I found a cute Sunflower arrangement that really wasn't bad for the price. I know I've seen some reviews stating the prices were a bit higher but in all honesty, It's average $30+ range. I stated that I wanted some roses put in just to give it a little more color and she popped in some Lavender and Pink roses, BAM! it was gorgeous. I contemplated just keeping the flowers for myself and buying her a balloon lol. So in love with it and it definitely did cheer her up when she saw it.. Such a cute & kind couple that owns this shop. They even called and questioned the need for a banners, which I had forgotten. They added on the most beautiful banners which were coordinated with the flowers perfectly! Yup! Who knew??! I bought some sushi next door and was sitting in the benches in front of this place. A sweet lady came out; I thought to tell me to leave because she sold mandoo. Instead, she asked if I wanted to taste. Of course, for free food, I gladly accepted! Tasty filling and so inexpensive! We bought a bag of frozen mandoo ...this has now become our snack wen we want something tasty and quick. The bag of 3 dozen is almost gone and I can't wait to pick up more. Tip: pan fry with water (enough to cover the bottom of pan) and 2 T oil. Throw the frozen mandoo in and steam covered on Med high for 3 min. Turn and steam another 3 min Promise you the wrapper will be soft and not sticky. Sooooo ono! Use ponzu sauce and chili oil... Oh...flowers looked fresh too. Lol! read more

They did an amazing job for my father's funeral and some difficult artwork on his Harley Davidson wreath and his Raiders wreath as well. Everyone commented on it. They are very nice and helpful and we even were given a big box of masks from Korea (the good ones) when we were leaving. It is a bit pricey but you get what you pay for and we were very happy and feel we sent our dad to his final resting place with memories of all his favorite things in his life. read more

The Honolulu florist I'd been using the past few years to send my mom birthday flowers at work closed recently and I was left searching for a *local* florist that delivers out to West Oahu. None of the big-name florists will deliver to Kapolei, and I didn't want to use any of the companies that are Teleflora outlets because of horror stories I've heard about the end product not matching the online catalog. I came across the great Yelp reviews for AC Florist. I saw they make the cute flower puppies and wanted to include that in an arrangement. Called them to ask if they deliver to Ko Olina. The man said they do and asked what I needed. Then he asked me to text all the details - budget, flower type, delivery location, card message, etc., which I appreciated since they'd have my exact instructions in writing versus over the phone. His wife called right back to confirm my text order and take my credit card information. She asked if we could delay delivery by one day because she would be getting a new batch of fresh blooms and wanted to use the freshest flowers for the arrangement. I agreed. The next day she texted me a photo of the finished product and a copy of my receipt. The flowers were prefect! And most importantly my mom was so happy when they arrived!
