What a great and easy experience! We were desperately trying to find a lei vendor to ship to the mainland for my niece's college graduation. Da Scene: It's the kiddo's 8th grade graduation and the wife & I are BUSY - we pull a "I thought you ordered the lei's!!" conversation two nights before the big day. CRAP, we're toast right? I decide to try and call 1st thing the next morning, prepared for disappointment - Carla & I have ordered a lot of leis from them over the years and know that while they do ship overnight, they need a day of prep, especially for complicated leis or large orders. We need a nice one for the kiddo and 15 single strand orchids for the teachers. It was a BAD night, I went to sleep full of disappointment and guilt, I didn't want to face my daughter w/out the signature Hana we have given her for every milestone, graduations, championships, birthdays, etc. Da Service: It's 8:30am in California but they pickup on the 2nd ring. DROP THE MIC, WALK OFF THE STAGE Jaw drop, dead silence on my side, cause I'm shocked. She says, "is that OK...?" I try to mask my excitement/joy/relief and respond, YES, totally, got for it. We exchange information, get the order processed and in short time I receive an email confirmation, then 2 hours later a FedEx tracking notification. I took the day off since last time there was an agriculture hold and I had to go to Emeryville for pickup, but this time it came right to the house at 9:30 am - 25 hours later. I wasn't going to do this review, but I feel that being a customer who ordered weeks in advance only to find out 3 days before pick up, my order has not been ordered at all. :( As a Company, the phone calls you receive are a very important way to interact with customers as well as it be where employee's should take pride in what they say & do for the Company's sake. (On another note - if you don't like your job...quit) This was my experience: Even while I gave my name, number & email address I was told that they don't see an order under my name. The person I spoke with was really confident that everything I wanted was noted. I can't remember the name though, person seemed sweet over the phone. Told me everything was jotted down and the dates I needed them for. Even told me I can pay upon pick up which I was really happy about. Just so happen I called 3 days before the "order pick up" because I wanted to see if I could "add" to my order. This person I spoke to was much older and still sweet but mentioned they didn't see anything under my name. Also, because of the date, they didn't have any of those lei's in stock (sold out). My heart dropped thinking "what am I going to tell my god children about their lei's for their prom dates?" It's a good thing that I didn't pay for it over the phone prior to this phone call. I will say, I am a little frustrated about the whole situation BUT we are only human and people do make mistakes. I just wanted to put my review out there so that the Company knows to learn from their mistakes. Even if I got the employee's name, I wouldn't throw him/her under the bus under this review because it could have very well been an honest mistake (maybe they got distracted after the phone call and forgot all about it). I will say though, you must learn & work as a team to grow as a Company. I've called around some places and I might have some luck getting what I need but it's not a guaranteed. So very disappointed. I called about 2 weeks in advance to see if they could make everything that I needed. They said yes and I was so happy and glad that I didn't have to stress about finding my haku and leis. I went to pick everything up today. My haku and lei looked fine. I love the exquisite selection of leis that Aloha Island Lei & Floral offers. Daniel Paik was very helpful in coordinating a delivery date for my lei. His main concern was that my lei arrived fresh and would not wilt in the hot weather. I was so pleased the lei was shipped priority overnight via FedEx. The box was clearly labeled as perishable and there was a label stating to refrigerate upon arrival. The box was also responsibly shipped. There was a USDA stamp from Oahu and there was no problem with the package passing my strict California agricultural inspection. Inside was a securely packaged, drop dead gorgeous orchid lei. It was a beautiful purple and white lei with the most beautiful and intricate design I have ever seen. I cannot imagine how long this took to create. I was surprised at the tightness of the flowers. The lei was the perfect length for me. There was no damage to any petals and it was so well made that I couldn't see the string that kept the lei together. Extra care was obviously given to the packaging. Inside were two heavy duty cold packs nicely wrapped in newspaper so there would be no issue with water leaking outside of the box. The lei was wrapped in paper and plastic to protect the flowers. This type of care in packaging and the use of extremely fresh flowers resulted in me being able to keep my lei around for a full week. After wearing I would spray the lei with water and store it in my vegetable crisper. I am beyond impressed with the quality of the flowers, the design and construction of the lei, and the excellent customer service I received from Aloha Island Lei & Floral. They will definitely be my go to floral shop for best in class leis. I would recommend their leis to anyone who needs the finest specimen of a lei for an important occasion such as a wedding, party, or graduation. read more

I would give zero stars after first emailing to confirm they could provide leis for a memorial paddle out then placing a $1700 order. I received the order confirmation the next day. When following up to check status, they failed to respond to both emails. I finally called the day before i was to receive them and they said, "we are so sorry, we missed your order".
