Watanabe Floral is Hawaii's largest full service floral shop since 1946, and my favorite shop. I try to visit here at least once a week to pick up roses/florals for my 2 vases, this help me think of a special person in my life who Loves floral. This place is such a happy vibe place/feeling, once you enter you will know what I mean. I just love the decor, so colorful, cheerful, so happy! I remember the very first time when I brought my mom here, I could see her happy face, I had to snap a photo of her at front of store. My recent visit I picked 10 colorful roses for my vase and also had to pick up a Birthday gift. Loved looking at all the orchids, picking one was hard. Watanabe has everything here, not only floral needs, you can just do your one stop gift shopping her. Like a local Hallmark with all the trinkets, gifts, snacks, jewelry, some very unique items that I never seen before. I came across the handmade crochet items and couldn't pass up on the bird and flower key chain, had to get them. They have very great vendors they purchase from, that's a great for supporting local! Thank you, Twinsie "Auntie" Nadine C., for gifting me the most gorgeous Lei Po'o. I wore it on my birthday and felt ridiculously loved. Multiple staff at Arancino at The Kahala complimented me on the head garland and I was tickled. I even took it with me to Waikiki beach to take photos with it. Gorgeous, lightly fragrant, and it lasted the whole trip with a light spritz of water in a bag and popped into the refrigerator. What else can be said? Come here and get all your leis here. I presented shell lei's that were my parents from the 1970's, then presented a set of Shell and Kukui nut Lei from my husband and I to the Bride and Groom. Then I gave the Maile and Floral Orchids to the Bride and Groom to present to each other as Husband and Wife. I had the DJ read the presentation connection to Hawaii as well the Historical Meanings of each Lei as they were presented. After the Lei Ceremony I had the DJ play the Hawaiian Wedding song sung by Elvis Presley taken from the Movie Blue Hawaii with the Hawaiian translation for a second dance for the Bride and Groom, It was a very special moment.

The prices are unreasonably high, but I still placed an order because I wanted to give my daughter something nice. However, I soon received a phone call asking, "What would you like to do if the item you ordered is not available?" Since I couldn't clearly remember the exact name of the item, I told same name what I ordered and the staff responded rudely, saying, "you can't understand what Im saying." I felt very offended by the disrespectful tone, but I looked it up and told them again. How am I suppose to remember the name? lol I then provided a second option, but I clearly stated that I wanted the first item, and if it was unavailable, they should contact me. However, without any follow-up or confirmation, they shipped the second item the next day, and it is arriving today. I cannot understand this at all. If the item is unavailable, it should be removed from the listing, yet it is still being shown as available. I think that is the trap to purchase. I will never purchase from this place again, and I plan to report this to the consumer protection agency.
