Those shops wish they were Mazzone though. If I have the time (which I rarely do), I would much rather come down here. The folks behind the counter are friendly, knowledgeable, and they've always got everything I need. The prices are reasonable as well. It's just a little too far for me to walk for just a lightbulb or a screw that I need, but for larger purchases, or if I have actual questions, I find it's worth it. One thing that I like getting from them is my Christmas tree every year. They've always got a great selection, and I'd rather spend my money locally than with the Home Depot, the Whole Foods, or even the dudes on the street who trek down from Canada or wherever. Here the service is better and friendlier; the trees are great, they will saw the end off it (necessary for drinking the water up), and help me strap it to my car if it's too big to fit inside (or if I'm trying not to get needles everywhere). Anyway, Christmas is over for the year, but Mazzone is forever.

I came here to pick one up a few days ago and was advised instead to buy a 150W bulb because 300W would be too bright. Brought it home, installed it, and it didn't work. No big deal. So I came back to return it today - in the middle of my workday, because their hours are so restricted. In a normal store, you just switch out the defective bulb; quick and dirty. Not here - the clerk's aggressive line of questioning made clear he didn't trust me in the least. Clerk: How do you know the bulb doesn't work if you didn't open the package? Me: The package is open - see? You just didn't see where I tore it open. Clerk: Did you touch the bulb when you were installing it? Me: No, I wore gloves like you're supposed to do. [Clerk pulls out a massive magnifying glass to read the fine print on the back of the package.] Clerk: Aha! It says here, 'Do not install if the lamp is hot.' Was your lamp hot? Me: No. I was replacing a bulb that burned out days ago and the lamp hadn't been used. [Clerk walks to a shelf and picks up a utility light that uses a similar bulb. He spends several minutes opening it up but doesn't test the defective bulb in it. He pulls out the 500W bulb that was packaged with the utility light.] Clerk: Do you just want to take this bulb? Me: No, that's a 500W bulb and my light is a 300W light. Clerk (triumphantly): What? Then why'd you buy a 150W bulb? (Waves defective bulb in the air.) Me: Because when I bought it the guy here, at this hardware store, told me to buy it. I was following the advice of your staff. [Clerk glares at me.] So I said forget it, I just came here to replace a $5 bulb, not lose half my workday and get interrogated to boot. From now on I'm buying my hardware at Home Depot or Amazon. Say what you will about supporting the spunky little local stores - I can't deal with this again.

Went to Home Depot earlier this morning to get ready to work on renovations. We were in the…read moreflooring aisle, saw a lot of great discounts, however missed our chance two weeks shy of getting any products we wanted. The employee in charge of the area was helpful. He helped us look around for the nearest Home Depot where they might have what we wanted. The quantity would have fallen too short and we decided we can move forward next time. Everything else we needed was good to go. Between paints, security doors, ceiling lights, and more - anything home related and do it yourself, you can find at Home Depot. We haven't been to this Home Depot in a long time. Everything was organized and easy to track. Staff was friendly and service went well on our way out.

Please read before buying LG! We bought an LG washing…read moremachine, replacing our old LG (10 year warranty). After a short few months it started to destroy our clothes. It first accord after washing our sheets. They looks like some sharp object would be in the drum and pull strands out of the fabric. We checked the drum, stroked over every inch with our hands, used cotton balls to see if anything stuck - nothing! I called customer service (we ordered our washer directly from LG). They told us to run the drum clean cycle 5 times in a row (that's 7.5 hours!) that should solve the problem. We did and the next load of laundry had the same problem. We called LG again, send them pictures as requested, were told they investigate and call back. They never did. Today was the 6th time I called and also send an email to the president. After telling them that I will write this review and post it everywhere I was asked by the supervisor if I use the right cycle to wash my laundry. I am 69 years old and know how to do laundry. Finally I was told he would pass it on to their service center which will contact me to find out if it is a manufactory defect. This goes on now for over 6 weeks. The service center contacted us via text and asked what are the defective parts - how am I supposed to know? The next message was they reach out if they have someone available. I would stay away from LG which is hard to say because we have LG everywhere from fridge to TVs but if something is wrong it is the worse customer service you ever experience.
