A++++ I recently had a 30 ton Pine tree removed from my property. This thing was massive, leaning, top heavy and approximately 5 stories tall. I thought the location of this tree would have presented a challenge as the trunk was located 4-5 feet away from my Gazebo structure. The entire tree was removed with absolutely no damage to surrounding structures. Branch by branch was carefully lowered by a pulley and rope system. The stump was completely removed using a stump grinder machine and the hole was back filled with soil. The end result was like the tree was never there and the soil was left prepped and ready for sod. The work crew was amazing, they were smooth and steady keeping safety a priority. They also removed and replaced a 24 gallon or Arbustos Marina tree (Strawberry tree) in my front yard. The work crew also went above and beyond and straighten out a few ficus trees that were leaning along my property line. The day of the removal, when I saw the size of the crew, the heavy duty equipment, 10 wheeled dump truck, attached heavy duty wood chipper, auxiliary trucks carrying crew and chainsaws... I knew I was in good hands. The entire process of preparation, tree removal, stump removal, cleaning and everything mentioned was completed in 1 day. My Nieghbor was so impressed he decided to have some work done as well. read more

Rene and his team were here for two days. We had three eucalyptus trees removed and then had all the hedges and additional trees trimmed and "laced" out. They did an amazing job. The property has so much more light and the hedges were trimmed in such a fashion that a great screen is provided from adjacent properties but we are not boxed in. Clean up was also quite good. The price point is a bit higher than I have paid other companies but in our case here, totally worth the extra expense of really good communication, no headache, fantastic job and overall great experience. Our back yard in Laurel Canyon is a bit of a tree fest - we've got a lot of big, old trees... Eucalyptus, Jacaranda, and more. If you don't care about damage to your property, hire them.  If you do, you're better off looking somewhere else. We hired Rene and his team to treat our oak from a beetle infestation and trim the oak and a small olive tree.  When they arrived we asked them to take care of our brand new gate when they take the branches out.  We even offered to cover it, but they declined reassuring us that they're professional and they'll take care of it.  After they left, we checked the gate and lo and behold there were tons of scratches all over it.  Although we have video (!!) from the security camera clearly showing his crew dragging the branches over the gate and even slamming them into the gate, Rene refused to admit that his crew did the damage on the pretense that his crew denied it because the branches were wrapped with a tarp.  Yes, the branches were indeed wrapped with a tarp, but the ends were still sticking out of the tarp and dragging over our brand new gate.  When confronted again with all our video evidence and a close up picture that clearly shows FRESH scratches, he claimed the crew said the scratches were already there.  After which he completely refused to respond to any of our follow-up calls or emails. We have no complains about the actual tree service performed, but I am appalled that a company refuses to accept liability for damage they cause to personal property, despite asking for more than $1000 to treat and trim 2 trees.  I won't post the video, but here's a picture of how our brand new gate looked after they left. read more

We hired them to take care of our trees which since we moved here ten years ago hadn't been properly cared for. HM trimmed, fertilized, straightened our trees (ten in total) and cut one down. They left us with proper instructions as to how to water the trees for the next month, left no branch or twig or leaf laying around. The crew of three had masks on during the entire six hours that they were here. And, thankfully, the crew chief spoke English. Had Rene out to look at some problem Carolina Cherry and our overgrown Privet. For $175 he told me the trees needed fertilizer and gypsum. He proposed to trim the Privet and fertilize the Cherry. His price was $1200 - $175 (for consult) = $1075. Five guys showed up on time and were good workers....two left almost immediately after assessing how little was to be done. They did a nice job and were finished in 3hrs. I asked about adding some fertilizer to one of my olive trees that is looking a little distressed. The foreman texted Rene who said that would be an extra $50. They do nice work but are very expensive. Get another quote before you use their service. You may save yourself some money. read more

The crew was very conscientious about getting my garden furniture and decor out of the way of falling branches and debris and then restoring it once they were done. Each crew member was unfailingly polite and respectful.
