Meanwhile, the refrigerator was off too, and we were not about to lose all our food. We turned to Yelp. The reviews looked solid, so we called. They answered right away. A few minutes later, we got a text saying Daniel was on his way and would arrive in 16 minutes. And he did. We described the issue, he inspected the outlet, and removed the cover. The receptacle was cracked in five places, with melted and burned plastic. It was a dangerous mess that could have turned into a serious problem. Daniel replaced it, flipped the breaker, and everything came back to life. No more crackling. Coffee maker working. Fridge humming again. We are very happy with the service and have added Johnathon Brown Electric to our go-to list. If we have another electrical issue, they will be our first call. I found Gianni Electric on Yelp, requested a quote on the app over the weekend, they replied quickly with a few extra questions and took down my contact info. They got Alec out the next day for a quote, and he came back the following day for the install. We probably could have gotten the work done a bit cheaper if we went with some self-taught handyman off of thumbtack, and I could have done the work myself (though it would have taken me a lot longer and probably would have made a mess in the process); but plumbing and electrical are two things that are worth paying a professional who has a license and insurance for. The price was reasonable and pretty much spot on what we had guessed it would cost us before reaching out. The whole process was pretty painless, and we'll definitely use them again, and wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to friends.

Guy moved the outlet to a dryer area. Took him hours....was being paid by the hour. That was all he did. A couple of days later I went out to turn something on and the plug closest to where he did the work wasn't working. I reached out to the owner of the company and explained what happened. He told me that its highly unlikely that his guy caused it. I explained that I was having no issues until after his guy left. After going back and forth he finally agreed to send the guy back out. He showed up at a time when I wasn't home. I never received a phone call before he came or after he came to let me know I had missed him. I have cameras all around the house so that was the only way that I knew that he had come. All of the work he had done was in our outdoor kitchen and this was the same exact guy who messed it up in the first place so he knew where it was and what to check. But he didn't. He simply rang the doorbell and then left. So, fast forward a couple of weeks and the socket that he moved begins to trip again. I did my research and found another guy who is awesome. He did double the work (literally) for half the price of Power Source. The second electrician also informed me that there should be an outdoor cover on the outlet since its under the grill (which he included...again, more work, less money).

The person who answered, Hank, was pleasant, able to give me a general idea of what the cost would be to install a quick disconnect box and even spoke to the plumbing company who would be installing my water heater. We scheduled for Friday, April 5th at 10am. I also sent a text about the appt. at his request with my information. Friday came, and MEM's Electric was a no call / no show. I called, left a VM, and sent a text, stating that no one had showed up for the appt. While I waited for a response, I read the reviews only to see that this has been a repeat issue with this company. I don't understand why a business would so easily give a potential customer a reason to have anything negative to say. In fact, I waited 48 hours before posting a review to see if I would get a response as there is always the possibility that an emergency occurred. There are positive reviews about this business, but I want others who may be looking to use this service to be aware that this could happen to you. It is already frustrating to have technical issues in your home, so the last thing you need is another headache. Thankfully, I was able to reach another electrician the same day who arrived at my home in less than 30 minutes to complete the job.
