Shopping in Downtown, Honolulu, Hawaii…read more.. What does JNBTQ stand for? I don't know. I Googled it and searched for it on Instagram. Nothing. Anyway, we had parked across the street at Ali'i Place and walked over to JNBTQ Toys Gift and Accessories where I took a long time to look at everything! According to a previous Yelp review, this space used to be Chit Chat Sundries. I have visited a long time ago! Gosh - there's such a variety of merchandise here! From clothing, greeting cards, and backpacks to snacks, costume jewelry, and plushies, there's something for everyone! I feel like this store is filling in the gap that Ross, Macy's, Hopaco, Longs, and Walmart left when they closed up shop in Downtown. The children's items (like lunchboxes) may be for parents who work nearby and don't have time to shop after work. There were so many cute things, including Hello Kitty, Miffy, Labubu, Pikachu, and Stitch! I'll be back!

That's how I'd remember this shop as we stumbled upon it walking in the Bishop Square area that's filled with various eateries there was this store you can't miss with window display filled with various cuteness and you know I had to see what else they have as well. The first thing that came to mind is I felt like I was shopping at an airport shop as it's filled with various Hawai'i souvenirs, luggage, various plushies and some grab and go food as well. With items for kids and adults I find myself looking at various cellphone accessories from phone holders to charging cords, some cute blind boxes and yes even some Labubu tucked away in display cases. So much to see in one shop and is a cool and practical spot if you're ever in need for a gift or yourself as the items found here is unique and fun. Thank you!

Located on the ground level of the Mauka (mountain) side of the Mall, near Center Stage, the merchandise looks like it's all handcrafted, but probably is not. There were knitted plushies, small bags, and keyrings. I had to look at all of the bunnies - ones with orange hats, purple hats, strawberry bodies, and pink ones! I also saw hanging plants, pandas, Mchicken, Batman, Captain America, chickies, carrots, piggies, reindeer, Kuromi, and more! They even had jewelry and cute stickers! I was tempted by the buy 5, get one free offer, but I held back. The items are kinda pricey... but so KAWAII!!!

I've come here many moons ago to find various beads and accessories as the items they carry are unique and fun as well though it is a fashion shop as well with various clothing that's all mixed in for a complete ensemble I guess lol. The staff here is very nice and don't follow you though you need to be mindful and polite as you browse as I came to search for a specific item which sadly they didn't have but was nice to give them a visit and see all the beautiful items. Parking I was lucky to find street parking on a free Sunday moment though municipal is right next door is usually what I use if I'm browsing much longer. For example: I've purchased Asian decorated paper fans for party favors, a blue rhino trinket to protect against burglaries, and Chinese styled clothing (blouses and jackets) for special occasions. The store is located in Maunakea Marketplace in Honolulu's Chinatown. I like to go on Sundays when metered street parking is free. Otherwise, there are Municipal Parking garages nearby which charge reasonable fees. If you enter Maunakea Marketplace from Maunakea Street, you will immediately see merchandise from this shop overflowing outside the walls of the store and into the surrounding area. Shelves of coin purses, toys, artificial flowers, sunglasses, clothing, and lucky charms are everywhere! This shop has everything! Inside, there are wooden figurines, jade carvings, beads, earrings, scarves, etc! I like the service here. For example, I was buying a Year of the Rat charm for two of my friends' birthdays when the female employee offered me a deal. She said that if I buy 3, I can get the charms at $10! Ok! The cashier was placing each charm is a cellophane package - very nice! I also got lucky charms for my mom because she makes goodie bags for her high school classmates. (Every year, they have a Lunar New Year party and exchange small gifts.) The $8 bag of charms contained 12 pieces. What a deal! Yes, Kimi's Fashion II may seem cluttered... that's the uniqueness of it! It reminds me of my PoPo's (Chinese grandmother) room - filled with beautiful ethnic treasures - waiting to be discovered!

This place has survived for a long time because of their gifts to organize filled with luck & prosperity within a community. I was looking for a sacred buddha that spoke to me and found it at this shop. I had looked else where before deciding. Expression of this unique piece and knowledge of the owners was helpful in my decision (pic attached). It's Burmese jade and the carving is detailed and jade emits so many colors which will change with time as I plan to rub it's tummy often. Thank you Michael and wife. Strive to share your knowledge.

Operating by pop ups only doesn't make it difficult to find them as it seems like they're everywhere especially since the holiday season has just about begun finding something for that special someone is as easy as giving them a browse.
