Michael showed compassion…read more I called Michael after I was a victim of a scam. A fraudulent waterproofing company that I unfortunately hired. They started the escavation and then half way through started trying to extort more money out of me. It was at that point that I made a decision to rid them from my property and accept the loss and damages. With my house now exposed to the elements and in imminent danger of collasping. I needed to find a reputable company fast. I called Structional Engineering and Design and spoke with Michael. He came out the same day to survey the area that had been partially dug out by the scammers. Due to the urgency, Michael got me on his schedule and started the work the following week. When you are going through a devastating and life-changing time. You need a compassionate and meticulous group of individuals working for you to restore your home. You can rely on Michael for prompt assistance. Michael and his team worked from early morning into the nighttime hours completing the escavation and underpinning. It was a big job and a lot of hard work. All of the guys were professional, hardworking and did a wonderful job restoring my deck after the escavation. Michael kept me informed and explained each step to me. From begin to end the Michael and his guys were simply top notch. From the start with Michael's honesty, fairness and transparency was a level above everyone else I'll had dealt with. The only thing better than the quality of his work is Michael's character. They even hauled the tons of dirt and rock with no extra charge! I'm very happy I found this company to do business with. It's been almost 4 months and I have not had a drop of water in the basement and it feels great not having to worry about it. What began as a nightmare was soon met with sit back and relax, WE GOT THIS!!!!!!

Never messaged back so I called them and got a robot. They nor the robot got back to me.read more

I hired them to do everything. I kept them updated after every step of my to-do list that they provided between cleaning out the basement, breaking down the laundry area, and upgrading my electrical to accommodate the battery backup and separate breakers and outlets. They spent 2 days at my house working (3/30/26 & 3/31/26). When they were done, they told me that they would need to come back in a week to tighten some bolts because they had to pour some concrete and needs longer to cure. I said OK and just call me when they were coming back. Work finished 3/31/26. 4/8 - I texted the salesperson asking when they would be coming back. I was told that she would reach out. Nothing further. 4/30 - I texted again asking when they would be coming out. I was told to let her message him. Nothing further. 5/11 - I texted again about their return. She said that she would reach out again. 5/25 - At this point I was annoyed and texted her to just forget it. Told them now that they are paid and got their initial positive review that they don't seem to care . That I was disappointed. Doesn't give me hope for their yearly inspections for 5 years to make sure everything is still running well. So, I am taking away a star from my initial review.

To make a long story short, Steve sold me a 7k sump pump installation after his assessment revealed…read moremy small puddles of water on basement floor was water coming up from foundation around a steel support beam. After installation, water continued to puddle in same areas and ironically and unfortunately after the fact, noticed water dripping from pressure relief pipe on back of furnace. placed a bowl underneath, needless to say water collected in bowl instead of my basement floor. Steve stated jackjhammering must have knocked something loose and would send plumber to fix. I was suspicious that this was the culprit all along. Plumber arrived stated no way jackhammer was responsible for what was wrong with furnace. Basically due to old original pipes, in need of updating and replacement, furnace has been running with high pressures therefore spewing water out that pressure relief pipe, anywhere from drops to 2 cups depending how often furnace ran. which was often as it has been a cold winter. I spoke with Boni regarding some type of compromise as I strongly believe Steve misdiagnosed jump the gun and ordered up a sump pump without accurately tracking water or ruling out other possibilities. Company refused to comporomise and continues to insist jackhammering was responsible for water dripping, eventhough I had 4 copper pipes replaced and 2 new valves and purging of air out of them to make it run more efficiently. Boni told me she would escalate this matter to the owner, never happened I also requested a copy of the plumber repair report , not once, but 5 times via email, text and voicemails to Boni as well as the owner. I have been totally ignored. All I ask at this point is records of repairs performed on MY furnace, yet for some reason, they refuse to give it to me. Yes i have a brand new sump pump, will I ever use it? probably not. I could have spent that money on repairs that I really needed. I also had HVAC company and another waterproof company come and assess with the info I gave them and the timing of when everything occurred, both parties concurred with my thinking. Lesson learned especially as a single female that can be vulnerable to these situations, definitely seek 2nd opinions. I thought sump pump was overkill for a few small water puddles popping up here and there. Should have went with my gut instinct.

can't say enough good things about my experience with JustDryBasement. From the very first phone…read morecall, everything was top-notch. I had contacted several companies before, and honestly, most made me feel like I was bothering them. But when I called JustDryBasement, Susan answered--and she was incredibly professional, kind, and helpful. That first impression already set them apart. She connected me with the owner, Elliot, who has been amazing from start to finish. We worked together on three separate projects, and in every one, his quality of work and professionalism truly stood out. First project: Elliot installed a French drain in my basement and noticed damage to the walls, so he recommended and installed a special polyester wall barrier. He walked me through the entire process with patience and clarity. I waited a full year before writing this review, just to make sure everything held up--and I can confidently say, even through heavy rains here in Medford, NJ, my basement has remained dry. His work speaks for itself: solid, clean, and reliable. Second project: I still had high humidity in the basement, so Elliot suggested and installed a whole-house dehumidifier (AprilAire E100). He connected it directly to the French drain system, so I no longer have to worry about emptying water or dealing with moisture. It runs efficiently and quietly--even when I'm traveling, I have peace of mind. Third issue: Recently, I had water flooding in the finished part of my basement. I thought it was the water heater, but Elliot offered to stop by just to help figure it out. And he did--within two days, exactly as he promised. He quickly diagnosed the issue: it was actually the AC pump, not the water heater. Thanks to his advice, I was able to get the original installer (under warranty) to fix the problem. Elliot didn't have to help with that, but he did anyway--because that's the kind of person he is. Beyond his technical skills, Elliot is honest, communicative, punctual, and just a genuinely good person. He always followed through on his word, showed up on time, and took the time to explain everything clearly. Even when I had concerns, he didn't brush them off--instead of just talking over the phone, he came in person to give me peace of mind. I also want to give a shoutout to his partner Phillip, who was also fantastic to work with, and again, to Susan, for being so welcoming and helpful from the start. After working with this company three times, I can honestly say: I highly recommend JustDryBasement to anyone looking for quality, professionalism, and peace of mind. Their prices are more than fair for the level of service they deliver. It's rare to find people in this field who truly care--and I'm so glad I found them. Thank you, Elliot and team!

Elliott the owner came within a few days of me calling and gave an estimate to repair a floor joist that was severely damaged by a plumber. If I ever have any foundation or basement issues in the future I will not hesitate to contact them to help!
