My appointment was at 10 am, I was there 15 minutes early to fill out any paperwork that was needed. The young lady that came to take me to a room seemed very very nervous. She said it would be a couple of minutes and the Doctor would be in ( the Doctor that I had come to see Dr. N ) had the day off. I was not notified of this or I would have changed my appointment. So I changed into this strange paper gown that kept sliding off and I waited and waited and waited, after about 20 minutes I decided I am going to leave this is ridiculous. The very nervous young lady appeared and said it would be a couple more minutes, at this point I am getting very upset and I told her I am leaving. She closed the door and I got my clothes on, to my surprise the Doctor showed up (no knock on the door) and asked you are leaving? I said yes and walked out the door. Also, I was told when the young lady put me in the exam room that my co-pay is $45 which I am well aware of, then she asked if there was anything specific that I needed to be taken care of and I said yes skin tags removed at which point she said they can remove 14 of them for $200. This place seems to be more concerned about money than the patients I will not be going back. They wasted over an hour of my time of which I could have been making money from my job not to mention that it took me 45 minutes to drive there. They charge a cancelation fee so I guess I should charge a waste of time fee! read more

If I could give them no stars, I would but Yelp won't let me. The receptionists and an MA we felt with were helpful and lovely. There is an old lady and a short-fused doctor who have no manners, are rude and perhaps are even incompetent. If you want your partners to go with you they are banned unless you bring proof of POA. We brought proof of POA and two passports to prove who she was and we were still refused to hear about the plan for the treatment of a "cancer" diagnosis that all of a sudden today I am cured of. Only because we wanted to understand something very scary. I have had as of today, 4 visits. The very first visit, the first thing out of anyone's mouth after introductions was how would I pay ( we have insurance and ability to pay). They wanted me to use their pharmacy and when I objected, because I can get it at my pharmacy cheaper, I only got 1/2 of my prescription. They were going to charge me $35 for MY records to give my PCP. I told my PCP and she got them, but not all of them, just the last visit. I feel because we ask questions and advocate for ourselves. we are deemed as "difficult". What do they have to hide? Providers and practices should welcome patients and their caregivers. It helps us all understand better. I have never been treated so poorly by a practice or provider or left so confused. read more

New in the Ellsworth area, I luckily stumbled upon Dr. Michael Noparstak when I searching for a local dermatologist. I needed a doctor for my annual check up. He is by far the most thorough, friendly, knowledgeable dermatologist I have ever visited. The staff is also extremely helpful and friendly. The office is called Acadia Dermatology located next to the LL Bean outlet. If you need a dermatologist in this area, you can't go wrong with Dr. Noparstak. read more
