I could find no relief in Bar Harbor and called Dr. Albert's office. They said come by and they would see what they could do. Although they appeared to be busy when I showed up they immediately knew who I was and said "Sit down and relax and we will take a look". I had only a few minutes to "relax" before they fixed my glasses but during that time I looked around. My impression was that this office was very well organised/run and the ladies that helped me were courteous and obviously competent. Also, there was a large display area for frames, etc. so that patients would have a big selection to choose from. To top if off they would not accept any payment. Upon learning of the incident, the owner called and issued a sincere apology for the experience (I'd explained how I'd try to call back and resolve the issue directly over the following few days, but hadn't heard back - at no fault to the owner, Heidi - as she hadn't been aware of my attempt to contact). Though I didn't end up going through with my appointment that day and had booked with someone else at another spa, from what the other reviews have said, this seems like an otherwise lovely establishment with professional and courteous staff who - I was assured - DO practice recommended safety guidelines, including masking. I was not compensated in any way to edit this - I just didn't believe that my original review should reflect on the owner or the business as a whole and think it's important to differentiate between a singular, one-off experience and their overall business practices. Hopefully the most important message going forward is that people DO care a tremendous deal about safe practices such as masking - because it, in the end, is going to be the only thing that allows us to return to some semblance of normalcy. So thank you to all business who put the safety of not only themselves but their customers first, it is genuinely appreciated.

Dr. Jardine did extensive testing and gathered thorough information from me. He spent a good deal of time with me, educated me about tinnitus in an understandable way and is kind and thoroughly engaged. I have hope for the first time that my tinnitus can be managed with the hearing aids, designed to address my particular issues, that I now wear. I think we are lucky to have these folks available in this area.

I have medicare and was told at the…read moreappointment that my office visit was definitely covered and that if I paid for the hearing aids that insurance would definitely reimburse me. "We do this all the time". Two full months later and multiple phone calls to check on status of hearing aids and they never returned multiple calls. Finally received a bill for the exam as "it was not covered by insurance" and they did not work with my Aetna medicare insurance. They did send my records of the visit to my PCP and from my doctor learned that Audiology Center would not work with Aetna. Disgusting that they would not even tell me directly....
