I ordered through post mates. I felt that they overused Chia seeds. If it has Chia seed pudding it's not necessary to add so many Chia Seeds as a topping. It made the experience less that pleasurable trying to crunch through them all. More fruit toppings would be ideal( such as more banana). I've been coming on average once per week since my 1st time here, haha! After going on an acai bowl hunt for the past few weeks checking out several spots (and even all the way to amaze bowls (store front, not the food truck)), it's safe to say that açaí joint is my favorite place for a good açaí bowl. This is the only place that offers chia pudding and I freaking loveeee chia pudding (I know it's simple and easy to make but it's so damn good). Even my bf (who normally is pretty anti-nuts and chia pudding likes it!) On top of that, the prices are pretty reasonable. Tammy has helped me out the first 2 times I came and she's the sweetest (kudos to her!) That being said, service was friendly every visit. One thing that would be nice is to have a little more fruit options such as kiwi, mango, raspberries (maybe pomegranate). But perhaps they'll add these in the future! The only real downside is that it's in Baldwin Park... which is a little of a drive BUT I heard they're opening one in Alhambra!!! I got a large build your own cup. I would say the ratio between toppings and acai base is good. I would like the acai to be a little tarter. It's a bit too sweet for my cup of tea. First of all I am not a fan of Acai in general but it's a pleasant at times especially during summer. I have tried Acai bowls from SF and couple places in LA County and I personally prefer Acai Joint and that says a lot coming from someone who doesn't eat it too often, but I haven't tried blue bowl yet (since everyone is raving about it). The texture of the Acai here is different than other places, it is more like a sorbet texture instead of a gooey one from other places I have tried and I like that more. I have been looking for a good Acai place in 626 and this place came close. The concept of picking your own topping is perfect because I really do not like my Acai bowl to have too much items in it. The only thing that I really think might be an issue was the ratio of Acai to toppings. I ordered a small and I felt like it was 30 % Acai, 30 % chia seed pudding and the rest was toppings. My biggest complaint is they don't give you enough acai base. The young girl said they don't take orders over the phone - she then said that if I made it in before 7:30pm I would be okay.
