I walked in and it took the cashier to a few mins to notice that I was even in the store. After a while that I was waiting for my bowl I noticed the staff messing around in the back.I also had to step in to translate for a customer since they didn't have anyone on their staff that spoke proper Spanish. I visited Tuesday evening around 7pm and I was pretty disappointed. I walked in and waited for about 5 minutes and 2 young teenage girls were just talking about personal stuff (like boys) and never even greeted me. Till after I stated I was ready to order. I ordered a medium bowl with extra granola and coconut shreds and never got it. And to say the least there was barely granola in the bowl to begin with. I only came here after reading all the good reviews but after this experience I will never come again. Not only that but I watched as they offered another guest a free ginger shot but they didn't offer me. Hoping this message gets to the owner. I started coming here almost every other day for the past week. And always getting a medium sized bowl. Today I decided to get a large bowl. About 5 bites into the Acai bowl I found a little piece of white vinyl plastic. I kindly showed the store manager mind you he didn't look too happy to be there. Usually the employees are very friendly. Anywho he goes to the back and says he'll make me another one, but when he comes out I ask him what it was and he said it was a coconut shred a little piece of coconut shred. I asked him why he was downplaying my intelligence I said I know what a coconut shred looks like this is clearly a piece of vinyl plastic. He kept insisting he's been doing that for many years and he knows what coconut shreds look like. If he was at least honest about it it wouldn't have been a big deal but he was making it seem like I was delusional. I asked him who the manager was and he stated that it was him. I asked for a refund and I'll never go back to this place again. I know what coconut shreds look buddy, like I've been eating it for the past weeks. I regret not taking a picture of it. By the way I've also tipped all of the kind employees at your place as well, but notice why I didn't tip your manager? Because he is not customer service oriented. But he must just be having a bad day so it is what it is. I don't want to make his day any worse. Good luck guys I'm not coming back. read more

Yelp must make more available stars for a rating because of Acai Republic being the best place in taste and customer service. All workers are so kind and welcoming, greeting customers as if they are their friends. I have never waited more than 5minutes for my acai bowl to come out. I always enjoyed the acai bowl but this place definitely changed the game for me. The service they provide really makes me smile and eating the acai bowl while smiling doubles the taste. My wife and I always enjoy coming to this place without any worries. Especially in this COVID-19 crisis, it would be understandable if the workers act a little strange but this place is like home. They have conversations with us (of course within distance) but they make us forget everything about this whole virus issue because that is how comforting this place is. Managers to workers are just unbelievably kind, welcoming, full of smiles. I keep repeating my words but there is just no other way to describe this place, its amazing. Want some Acai Bowl or healthy smoothies? then don't worry and just go to the Acai Republic. It is Clean, Amazing customer service and it tastes so freaking good.
