I am new to this "create your own acai bowls" place and heard mixed reviews from others about the experience, mainly focusing on the staff and how they treated customers. We had a lovely lady, not sure of her name but she had tattoos and a lot of earring(s)/piercing(s)? helped us out with topping decisions since we were not familiar with some of them/unsure of what to get. She even asked us how much of toppings we wanted on our bowl and was very sweet to us when we paid, keeping the conversation flowing. She definitely cares about the customer experience and made our experience amazing even though the bowls were pretty pricey! Definitely will come back because of this nice experience! Pur Bowls on Main Street in Orange is such a solid spot, especially if you are craving something fresh late at night. It is conveniently located in a shared building with Nguyen's Kitchen, so parking is a smaller lot, but I have always been able to make it work. The inside is clean with limited seating, and it definitely feels like a spot that does a ton of takeout orders. It is always popping too, which says a lot considering there is a Blue Bowl less than 100 yards away. They have plenty of base and topping choices, along with premade bowl options, but I personally like building my own. The bowls are always awesome and hit the spot, especially after a long bartending shift. The real star of my visit was Zoe behind the counter. She was an absolute rock star. Calm, cool, and collected with a long line and a bunch of to go orders coming in at the same time. She was clearly running the show, starting everyone off and then passing the bowls along to her coworkers to finish. Even under pressure, she stayed polite and friendly the whole time. A pretty typical acai bowl place, nothing too special but really appreciate the pricing and hours. I came in around midnight since my brother was craving an acai bowl and we were happy with the service. I like how it's essentially endless toppings and isn't additional after x amount. What a way to start the year off with pure Bowles in Orange California, I found this place by looking for some açai bowls and it was conveniently located right near Disneyland maybe a mile and a halfway away. The price was great. The atmosphere was clean and their different size offering small medium large is the first that I found as many places like this. The prospect was also clean and the employees wore gloves, which made me feel better. Pur Bowls has great acai, but the experience is hard to enjoy because the space shares with Nguyen's kitchen next door. The smoke and cooking smell from the restaurant drifts directly into the acai shop, and you end up smelling like food just from stopping in for a bowl. Acai is supposed to feel fresh and clean, but the strong kitchen smell completely takes away from that. Pur Bowls should really consider separating itself from Nguyen's kitchen or improving the ventilation so customers can enjoy their acai without the restaurant smoke. read more

I get the hustle, but it doesn't feel very community-minded--more like chasing traffic. I've picked up a few DoorDash orders here, and honestly, late night is the only reason I'd ever consider it.
