First timer! Can't believe I hadn't been here sooner. All the girls working were super nice and outgoing, which was so refreshing. They have quite a few bowls to choose from or you can build your own, which is great! Ordering is done on a screen but they have an app too, which is nice for ordering ahead. Came into Açaí Republic in Laguna Niguel and had such a great experience. Alejandro was the one helping me and he was honestly super genuine and friendly. You can tell when someone is naturally kind, he really made the visit feel welcoming and easy. The place itself is clean and has a nice relaxed vibe, and everything feels fresh. My bowl tasted great and the toppings were high quality. Overall, great service and great energy. People like Alejandro are what make you want to come back. read more

Went on a stroll with my toddlers and decided to stop in for a healthy refresher! Came here on a Wednesday afternoon after work. Felt extra warm today so an açaí bowl was an optimum choice. The so Paulo bowl is deemed the most popular, and that is what I went with. The bowl was spectacular. It was refreshing, sweet, cool and healthy, I also ordered the cheese bread. To get the full taste of the breads cheesiness, I would recommend eating it in small bites. The tables weren't really clean but it could have been after a busy shift. The decor seemed tropical and I did notice tables were big and chairs were comfortable. Overpriced rip off with no customer service, kiosk only, no cash accepted, just overall waste of your time and money. What a terrible way to run a business. The fact that they replaced all cashiers with robots, don't accept legal US tender, and then claim it's for the benefit of the customer is absurd. I can guarantee if there was a machine to make the bowls and smoothies they would replace their last employee. Just a greedy management trying to maximize profits and minimize costs and fees. It has absolutely nothing to do with the quality of the customer experience. Don't insult us by pretending your unamerican business practices are for the good of the people. Açaí Republic must be run by some out of town clowns. read more

Another gem on our quick trip to SoCal. Found this place after a day at the beach. Nice vibe inside, quick and friendly service. This is my second time here at this location. Bowls are fresh, delicious, and decent sized. Prices aren't cheap, but they're in line with other açaí bowl establishments. The two girls who were working that day were kind, sweet, and helpful. I needed some advice regarding the kind of bowl I wanted and they both helped. The massive screen you use to build your bowl can be a bit overwhelming, (as well as all of the different bowl options and add-ons) but once you get it, it's easy to use. They only take card, NO CASH IS ACCEPTED. The interior is decent sized and designed well. The ambiance is actually very nice. There's also plenty of outdoor seating for all of the shops around so if you prefer to go outside and enjoy the SoCal sun, which I did, that's an option. They don't have a bathroom inside the establishment, but there is one for any customer to use--you just need a key, and it's part of the entire business complex. It's located next door, so it takes about 20 seconds to get to here. I will definitely be back. read more

Haven't had an acai bowl in a while so decided to stop by and fuel my body with something sweet and healthy before work. There were two other people inside when I arrived which was perfect cause there was no line. The woman behind the counter was very sweet and walked me through the steps and different options to build a bowl. I believe she was the manager and was genuinely very kind our entire interaction. I kind of panic ordered and said the first thing I saw. It was the cali bowl with a layer of chia seed pudding. For toppings I got all the fruit, coconut strips, and granola which made the bowl taste that much better. I sat down in one of the more comfortable chairs and enjoyed my bowl. I was thinking about that bowl my entire shift at work and will definitely coming back to try some more of their yummy acai bowl and other items on their menu. read more

Love..Love..Love. I came here for the first time the other day and I was impressed. As soon as I walked in, the establishment was very clean, I was greeted by the workers, and overall started off my experience just right. Used to love this place. My husband used to visit multiple times a week for their smoothies and açaí bowls and coxinhas. Service used to be good. Then a few months back they decided to put a machine in the front for ordering instead of a human being and cut their staff to almost non existent. This review is for the Oside store which has only been open a short time. I love Açaí but my favorite store sold to new owners and now they just slap some sorbet in a bowl and dump fruit on top. This place is by far the best Açaí in Oside now in my opinion. Also have some other Brazilian items like empanada. read more

This is my favourite açaí spot and location so far. I've visited Açaí Republic in Lake Forest, Huntington Beach, and Orange as well, but the Laguna Niguel location truly puts out the best product in OC. I've tried tons of açaí in California and Hawai'i, but nowhere else I've been to gets it just right like this place. I like that Açaí Republic offers authentic, minimalistic Brazilian açaí without all the extra toppings. My go-to is the madly mango bowl or smoothie because it's the only option that by default doesn't include banana, which I don't like, as an ingredient. I would eat here every day if I could, and when I'm in town, I visit this particular location as often as possible. read more

We'd been eating out a lot so I wanted something healthy for breakfast. They were open in Christmas Eve and I wanted to try this shop especially because they also had Brazilian pastries. Service was nice and store was clean. It was as expected. The flavors of the açaí bowl were fine -- I got the Tahiti which had banana, blueberry and strawberry plus I added bee pollen. The small is $10 which seemed pricey for the portion. The ham and cheese empanada didn't seem to have any ham... or it was just overwhelmingly a lot of cheese. The coxinha was okay too. My favorite was probably the pao de queijo. Didn't quite hit the spot for what I was craving perhaps but not bad at all. read more

Clueless people. Ordered 3 acai bowls and just got 2. Ordered cheese bread and never got it. The woman there said she gave it to me when she gave it to other person. When I said, I ordered 3 acai bowls she got angry. I showed her the receipt and she just ignored me. Never come back to this place. Whole Foods sells organic acai bowls large for $12 and the portions are good and the fruit is organic. This place is a rip off for the price and amount you get. You deserve 0 star for service. A friend recommended this place and my boyfriend and I tried it, LOVED it. You can tell the açaí blend is high quality. It was fresh, fruity, not too sweet not too bland. It is definitely one of the best açaí blends I've tried anywhere outside of Hawaii. We ordered: the Sao Paolo which came with strawberries and bananas on top and the real Brazilian with bananas and blueberries. They all come with a good quality granola as well! It tasted mildly sweet and not too bland which I love. My boyfriend left out the granola in his (the bigger bowl) because he eats a gluten free diet. I loved their granola though. They ask if you'd like it topped off with honey .. definitely get the honey! It pairs so well with the açaí, granola and fruits. I also tried their Coxinha (think fried or baked mashed potato balls with Panko breading) with chicken and cream cheese in the middle. OMG it was SOO good. Even bette than Porto's potato balls! Definitely get this. You're welcome ;) The service was wonderful. They were younger kids working there but unlike other places I've been where it's younger workers who are rude or act "too cool"... the workers here were respectful and very nice. They were offering these little energy shots made of ginger, pineapple and kale I believe. It tasted SO good and really did give me an instant boost of energy. I will get this next time. After I ate my bowl, potato pastry and that energy shot... I felt so energized, awake and just overall great. Can't wait to go back! read more

Hands down my favorite acai store. I have been here like 77 times. I eat, sleep, and breathe Acai Republic. I've tried many acai stores all across California and the majority of them all taste the same. Not Acai Republic. They got the secret sauce. I just wish they didn't get rid of the Fivestar rewards, I lost a lot of unused points Food: The acai here is honestly the dankest. As mentioned earlier, most other acai stores taste very similar to each other. Acai Republic has the blends that are each unique. Want a dash of sour? Try the Real Brazilian. Wanna go for something more sweet? Grab the Sao Paolo (Imma be honest these are the only 2 flavors I tried out of my 70+ times of going here . I dig the Sao Paolo so much I get it every time. Maybe one day I'll try something new). The toppings here are great too. My fav are the cacao nibs. These be so crunchy it puts Captain Crunch to shame. Def recommend. Ambiance: Good vibes all around. I usually grab my bowls to-go, but there's a good amount of seating Their team has always been friendly. Price: Overall very reasonable and in line with other acai stores. They give a very good amount of acai and have a good ratio of toppings/acai. Make sure to get your free 3 toppings on Topping Tuesday! Used to love this place frequented it often. Past couple times have just not been very good. Last time waited over 30 minutes for a bowl because all the workers were talking to their friends at the front. Gave it another chance and waited 20 minutes for a smoothie. When I asked if it was ready I heard the girl in the back say it's been ready. So the girl at the front handed it to me and said you just not have heard us call it. I also grabbed a 12oz bag of their Ethiopia Yirgacheffe Natural. It took about 20 minutes for them to complete the roasting process. After 4 days, I grinned the beans for a pour over and could tell this was already going to be a decent cup of joe. I did not see any significant bloom but the draw time was great based on my grind size. Cons: This shop is too far and too small so if there is a line and you don't have time, you might have to skip the experience. While I don't anticipate Mameya expanding, I would come back in a while.

I ordered the Double Matcha Latte with oat milk and 50% sweetness, and it had a really nice strong matcha flavor. My sister got the Raspberry Matcha Latte, since raspberry is usually her go-to flavor pairing, and she liked it overall but realized raspberry may not be her favorite fruit to combine with matcha. The server also mentioned that the drinks are sweetened with agave, which was nice to know. I also appreciated that they don't charge extra for milk alternatives, especially as someone who is lactose intolerant. Even at 50% sweetness, I probably could have gone a little less sweet, but overall it was still a great experience. Definitely a place I'd come back to again.

I asked the employee what they're known for and she recommended the salt & butter roll. It was fresh out of the oven and actually really good. Not salty at all, which I liked. It reminded me of fresh pandesal from the Philippines. We also got the Kobo Kuma because it looked cute. The vanilla bean custard inside was good, but probably not something id get again. The banana cream matcha sounded really promising but was just okay to me. I've definitely had better. We also happened to come on the last day of their Cinnamoroll collab without even knowing, and they were giving out free buttons which was a nice surprise. Overall, the place is good and I'd come back to try other pastries, but I personally wouldn't wait in a long line for it. Worth trying at least once, but nothing really stood out to me other than the pastries looked cute.

I took it on the road this time but, as mentioned, the abundance of tables and the serene ambiance make this a great place to sit for a while and read, return emails, get some work done, contemplate the universe, or converse with a friend. I'm not often in this area but would not hesitate to stop here in the future to enjoy a coffee.
