SERVICE - located in a big shopping complex - plenty of parking available in lot - good amount of seating indoors and outdoors at at tables for up to four people - need to order at counter and then they call out your name when your order is ready - staff are very friendly and welcoming - depending on the time the order can take a few minutes to be made - ambiance good for a casual meal or snack MENU - smoothies, juices, and other refreshing treats - all vegan/vegetarian - average price FOOD - launch bowl (6/10): banana date coffee base topped with chia pudding, berries, granola, and cacao nibs. This one sounds like a decadent chocolatey treat with mocha flavors. I am not a huge coffee fan but wanted to try the mushroom blend and the chocolate protein that comes in this one. The coffee flavor is quite strong and there is a significant punch of caffeine so if you need something to wake you up the get this. My favorite part was the chocolate drizzle on top. The smoothie itself was very icy. I got multiple chunks of ice as I was scooping through the bowl. I am not sure if that is a one off occurrence or because of the nature of the ingredients. WOULD I GO BACK? Yes but I would get one of the fruitier bowls rather than this one. read more

I've came here a couple times before and realized I never reviewed here! I used to get a juice that was golden milk or something of that nature but I don't see it on the menu anymore. I got the strawberry swag today though and it didn't disappoint! I love how this place is organic and I can rest knowing all the ingredients are good for you. The true "thrive" is in ripping people off. Don't get the shroomatcha it tastes like dookie. They don't have regular milk here. Everything is also super expensive. Paid $8 for about 10 sips of a matcha and that's being generous. More than half the drink was ice. Don't even get me started on their juice cleanser that costs $69/day... best thing about the place was the vibe. read more

I got the Strawberry Swag smoothie (no avocado, added almond butter and extra protein), and it may have been one of the best smoothies I've ever had--and that's coming from someone who works at a smoothie bar! I've been here a couple of times for the healthy smoothies, which are delicious. But this time I tried the hot chocolate with organic cacao and soybean milk. It was really delicious: rich, frothy, flavorful. I also decided to do some work and the atmosphere and ambiance in the shop is very pleasant. Nice music, comfortable chair and table and a great, relaxed vibe. The woman who served me behind the counter was very friendly. Definitely a place I'll go back to --- not just for the smoothies and hot chocolate, but the ambiance too. I'll try the coffee next time. Thrive is the best, most natural tasting smoothie place in the Laguna Niguel/Aliso Viejo area. The portion sizes are generous and will keep you full for a good part of the day. The drink itself was great but not when it's given to you covered with what's inside my cup. Not being dramatic but took me 4 napkins to just clean my cup. It's one simple step in customer service that they obviously don't follow or care about. Just clean your cups before you give them out. read more

While Thrive has delicious organic, GF, and dairy-free options as well as friendly staff, I've asked them to please make sure to secure the coffee cups. Every time I go there more coffee spills on the drive back onto my passenger car seat as well as the garage floor. The bottom of the bags are soaking in coffee so that I lose a lot of the coffee and the bag integrity decreases so that it rips. Even after asking them to please secure the coffee cups better, the coffee still spills everywhere. They have made efforts to improve the security of the coffee, but the stickers pop off and don't help. It would be great if Thrive started using sticks to insert into the opening on the lids like how Starbucks does. For now I use a plastic bin to avoid the coffee spilling onto my car seat and I just clean the bin after the coffee has spilled. read more

Went here for second time today and tried their new Strawberry Swag smoothie, guess it's not on the menu officially yet but it was unbelievably delicious! Has strawberry banana avocado with this amazing strawberry glaze they make and coconut cream. The staff was super friendly. Took about 8 minutes or so, but to be expected for quality. Just discovered this place near my home in Laguna Niguel and I am absolutely in love. I visited 3 times just in this week and have tried 2 different smoothies 1) the Blue Laguna and 2) the Maca Luv. I discovered this place from Instagram. This shop is adorable, and easy to find. The customer service was great. But I came for juice at the end of the day, and the selection of bottled juices was slim pickings. I guess, I better come in earlier in the day, next time. I love their philosophy on their products. I grabbed 3 bottles of Hardcore, and 4 juice shots. Their juices tasted fresh and delicious. Hardcore was just pure green vegetable juice with a very strong flavor. While I thought this place was pricey, I will return just for the organic freshness. Also, keep your glass bottles to return to them to apply towards your next round of juices. They are 50 cents each, I believe. If you're into fresh organic juice, it's worth the trip to check them out. read more

I love the acai bowls here, my favorite is the PB Acai. The ingredients taste fresh and there are plenty of customization options. All of the staff are friendly and always helpful when navigating the menu. They have a great rewards program too which is a plus - The points never expire, and they don't spam with texts/emails. It's hard to find a juice place that is actually healthy. This place is! All of their vegetables are organic and delicious. I come multiple times a week and get their "Hardcore" juice. I like the product! But the service SUCKS! Half the time i come in here there is no one working the front desk! I've had to actually CALL their phone number from inside their own building and ask for someone to come help me! Today I come in, there is someone washing the windows....2 girls in back.....and as usual, NOBODY taking orders! Stood around for 7-8 minutes saying "hello? Hello?"! 3 other people came in behind me and 2 of us just left without ever getting service! Either I'll seek out another location? I tried thrive juice lab for the first time the other day! I was impressed with the selection of vegan bacon goods, smoothies, juices and coffee's that they offer. I ordered the popular coffee stimulator smoothie and it was very good! My husband went on a juice cleanse with them and had a great experience. In the past, I typically have gone to nectar at Ocean Ranch for bowls/juices but I will be sure to keep TJL in mind next time!! Very friendly employees/customer service too! read more

Meet the Business Owner: Cole C.

Cole has an extensive background in the hospitality industry with over 20 years of service. Prior to Thrive Juice Lab he worked in management for several high end hospitality groups in Los Angeles, California. From a young age he had a strong interest in organic holistic nutrition and fitness. His entrepreneurial spirit led him from the small town of Bend, Oregon to Southern California to start his own business. Cole is thrilled to be a part of the Orange County community offering products that help to enhance his customers lives.

After 4 days, I grinned the beans for a pour over and could tell this was already going to be a decent cup of joe. I did not see any significant bloom but the draw time was great based on my grind size. Cons: This shop is too far and too small so if there is a line and you don't have time, you might have to skip the experience. While I don't anticipate Mameya expanding, I would come back in a while.
