    Eggs and turkey bacon
    Laura A.

We decided to try Lola's over the weekend. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The cafe has a warm and cozy vibe. Love the decor and that they have inside/outside seating.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We were greeted as soon as we walked in and the staff were very friendly and helpful. We ordered the proprietor's vegan breakfast burrito, eggs and bacon that came with pancakes. Unfortunately the vegan burrito was a miss for me. I think it would definitely be better with some Just Egg and no grains. To add egg to the burrito was an additional $3.75 (With all of the add on options I feel it's a little pricey but to be fair everything is pricey these days). Not sure if they had vegan egg available, but next time I can clarify. I do give props to Lola's for having vegan options available, so thank you. :) My kids love turkey bacon and eggs. Would love for that to be available on the kids menu. We ordered from the regular menu and had them bring extra plates to split. Love that they have turkey bacon on their menu. My husband had the pancakes and loved them. Overall a good experience.

Love, love, love! Today was my first time enjoying Lola's Cafe and there's nothing negative to note. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The cafe is so lovely. Great seating, painting on the walls and a welcoming atmosphere.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]They also have a great patio for outdoor dining too.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The staff were all fabulous, from the cashier to the servers, everyone was upbeat and friendly! I enjoyed a refreshing Arnold Palmer with their new Veggie Club. Both were exceptional!! I'll be back soon to try some sweet treats for sure.

Lola's Cafe is a gem. Food I routinely order at a restaurant like a breakfast burrito or an arnold palmer has been completely reimagined here. They make actual lavender extract themselves, and the lavender arnold palmer I ordered was extraordinary. I plan vacation itineraries around restaurants I want to try and so I really mean it when I say this is a spectacular place. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I met the owner and learned what a fan he is of music as there is cool memorabilia and art on the wall.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] He was very considerate and rushed two breakfast sandwiches for my son and his teammate who were in between games for their sports tournament up the road. I also bought a bag of coffee beans that are locally roasted for my husband to try. Highly recommend.

Visited right around noon to have lunch with a friend I haven't seen in awhile. Parking can be found in front of the restaurant or behind the shopping center strip. Service was disorganized and slow. The salad I wanted couldn't be made because they were supposedly out of strawberries and they could only offer to sub it with tomatoes. How pathetic. So I ended up getting the iced chai and kale and shaved Brussel sprouts salad with salmon add on. My friend got the Lola's salad. My drink tasted like bitter medicine perhaps due to the generous use of cinnamon. My salad had a lot of shredded Parmesan which was overpowering. The chickpeas in the salad wasn't crunchy or soft. Just stale and bitter. The salmon tasted like handsoap or hand sanitizer that got transferred to the fish. It tasted like chemical and had an acrid taste to it. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The shop had indoors and outdoor seating.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]The outdoor seatings had ant infestations on the wall ledges and on the ground.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]I felt sorry for my dogs who suffered through the heat and ants crawling all over them.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The store associate said they would bring us water bowl for dogs but it didn't happen until right before we left. All in all, I wouldn't mind returning in the future if in the vicinity or to catch up with my friend. But I wouldn't reorder the chai or the same salad. Perhaps I would have better luck with other sandwich options and drinks.

Lola's Cold Brew Iced Coffee Iced Ganache Mocha

Went for a Saturday brunch around noon for two. You order at the counter and they have indoor and outdoor seating. Drink orders get called out and you pick them up and you get a number for food which they drop at the table. They have smaller tables and larger tables and although it was busy, we didn't have any problem with getting a table. The service is on the chill side and quite slow. The patio was incredibly dog friendly with multiple dogs showing up while we were eating. It's a fun quirky cafe and the decor matches the feel of the restaurant. We got a cold brew coffee and a iced ganache mocha. Cold brew was strong without being acidic. The ganache mocha wasn't particularly sweet. We got a breakfast burrito which tasted like a diet breakfast burrito. It was flavorful, but the turkey bacon and the lack of a fatty sauce or greasy potatoes makes it a much lighter breakfast burrito compared to most restaurants. We were warned when we ordered the French toast soufflé that it wasn't traditional French toast, but a baked soufflé. The dish came exactly as promised and was a sweet rich and pretty dense treat. The tomato soup and grilled cheese were both well done and paired perfectly.

    Lemon bar and coffee

We try to stop by every time my son plays at the Ladera sports facility. Everything we have had here was fresh and good. I would highly recommend the lemon bar! So good The coffee is always good here. My husband and I shared a breakfast burrito. It was small and just enough for us to eat pregame. They always seem pretty busy, I think we waited almost 15 minutes which was cutting close for us. The place is cute, clean with lots of seating inside and outside.

Lola's is a little low key spot that seems to get a lot of local love! The line was long, but there was a good amount of seating. They have a pretty good sized menu for breakfast and lunch, and even vegan options for those with dietary preferences. The lavender latte and the chai latte were both very fragrant and good. The chai latte was on the sweeter side, and the lavender was a bit softer on the sweetness in comparison. The breakfast burrito was the perfect size, and had some unique ingredients like sweet potato hash browns and some sort of aioli! The burrito came out scalding hot and surprisingly took forever to cool down (only real frustration), but otherwise the flavors were so good. I seriously don't know how they got that egg so hot! The egg inside was boiled, so that was definitely different compared to most other places that use scrambled eggs, but, oddly enough, I didn't hate the switch up. I'd definitely order this again. The breakfast pizza was real good too. It was essentially the breakfast burrito deconstructed on pizza. I can't wait to come back and try the pastries & french toast soufflé, these also looked incredible!

We don't get over to Ladera Ranch very often but this place looked good enough for us to pop over for a go. Service is great.... The food comes out fast and they do have table service where you order at the counter and they give you a table number.. then they bring your order to you. Food is great.. tried the avocado toast which I devoured... nicely seasoned and plenty to share. Will definitely come back for more... they have these ding dong looking treats at the register that we wish we had tried. Next time!

I went to Lola's right before an appointment I had in Ladera Ranch. I got the marscapone, smoked salmon, and red onions/caper bread meal, and thought it was okay. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The vibe was nice and everyone seemed friendly.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Would come back to try something else.

Our fifth time here and this place is really good, to be honest the lunch isn't my favorite but if you want somewhere local for breakfast, this place is on the top of the list for us. They have vegetarian options and healthy alternatives. They also have healthy options for kids, in my opinion the waffles are sweet enough. They don't really need anymore sweetener or cream on there.

    Quinoa Butternut Power Bowl

Tried this for the first time yesterday and it was pretty good. My SIL suggested it as a lunch before a movie. The honey lavender latte was quite good as well as the strawberry lemonade. The quinoa bowl was really loaded and really good. However, I would've wanted a bit more dressing. The service was quite quick! It's a very cute cafe, and I'd be interested in trying something else.

    Breakfast Egg & Bacon Sandwich
    Anna H.

I love the location and the ambience at Lola's and the staff are friendly and helpful. However, I don't feel that the amount and quality of food for the price is worth my coming back and I've been here several times. I paid $2.50 for avocado and didn't even get a half of an avocado. Last time I checked avocados are $2.99 for a whole avocado. I paid $20 I for a small Americano and a small sandwich with no mayonnaise, No spread, no aïoli a tiny bit of tomato and no sides. There are quite a few other breakfast places where I can get double the size of breakfast for the same price. I think this matters, especially in a economy where a lot of people are struggling right now to feed a family. I believe in giving extravagantly even through my own business so to receive so little for the price just doesn't align with my values. It feels stingy or limited. This will probably be the last time I come here and I'm sad cause I do think it could really knock things out of the park if the prices and the amount of food for the price improved.

My wife is a big fan of their Adobo Breakfast Bowl and on our second visit, she decided to order it again. To our surprise the dish came out noticeably different from what we remembered. It had more sauce and a hint of sweetness, almost leaning toward a paksiw-style flavor. When we asked one of the servers (not the one assigned) about it, we were told that some adjustments had recently been made to the ingredients. We were a little disappointed since we really enjoyed the original flavor from our previous visit. Thankfully, our assigned server took the time to share our feedback with the owner, Anthony. He personally acknowledged that some adjustments had been made BUT also recognized that the dish we received was not up to their standard. What really stood out to us was how he handled the situation. Rather than dismissing our concern, he offered a thoughtful resolution that completely turned the experience around and made us feel genuinely valued as customers. To me, THIS is what great hospitality looks like. Food may not always come out perfectly but when a restaurant listens, acknowledges a concern, and makes a genuine effort to find a resolution for the best possible customer experience, it makes you appreciate the place even more. I strongly recommend giving this place a visit. There aren't many Filipino-themed restaurants in SoCal that offer this level of food quality, hospitality, and overall experience. We'll definitely continue coming back!

It's on me that I didn't realize it was pre-fixe at $48/person on the weekends. So our party of 5 was outrageously expensive considering the fact that we ended up with way too much food and most of it was meh. For course 1, we got the beet and burrata salad, hush puppies, "salmon lox," beignets, and coffee cake. We could have been done after and would have had 1/2 the food leftover. The salmon lox was mild in taste, but nice. The beet salad was delicious, but would have been better with goat cheese. Hush puppies were good, but SO HEAVY. My kids had the beignets and coffee cake, which were served with a lot of syrup/sauce. Neither dish was finished and they were also SO HEAVY. For 2nd plates, we had the beef stew, flannel hash, crab hash, and 2 orders of the mac and cheese with duck confit and truffles. The flannel hash was outstanding. Everything else was meh. The beef stew was good, but the potatoes were unnecessary and there were bites of blue cheese that were disproportionately strong. The crab hash was not good even after adding salt and pepper. The egg portion of the dish was bad. The sweet potato crispies were overwhelming and ridiculous. And the large crab cakes were just totally lacking in flavor. The mac and cheese was also meh although it did reheat better the next day. But the portion of duck confit was light and I ended up with a large bone in my mouth when I had it as leftovers. I do not believe there were any truffles or even truffle oil in this dish, just mushrooms. In short, I would never go again on the weekend and would not even seek this place out on the weekdays. I wonder if the chef changed because the food was just so mediocre compared to before. The portions are very large so if that is of interest, they have that in spades. And the flannel hash was outstanding. So if you find yourself here, definitely order that. I hope a revamp is done on the food. If so, I would come again as the patio is absolutely lovely.
