Bacon avocado toast
Thomas L.

A brand new klatch location that opened 4 weeks ago in the sprouts market. Workers were friendly and welcoming. No tables available to eat although there is a bench outside. Highly recommend the patio coffee milkshake. Also got the bacon avocado toast and the honey bacon biscuit. Both were decent although the bacon was a bit thin and a bit soft.

Rock solid Some joints try to impress you with reclaimed…read morewood, Edison bulbs, and a menu that reads like a graduate thesis in farm-to-table sincerity. Ted's doesn't bother with any of that nonsense. Ted's just delivers the goods. I've been going there for years, long enough that the rhythm of the place feels like an old blues song you know by heart. I'm the guy who orders the Denver omelette with salsa on the side. Every single time. And every single time it comes out exactly the way it should: fluffy eggs, just the right hit of peppers and ham, the salsa bright and honest, like someone in the kitchen actually gives a damn. No drama. No surprises. Just competence, the rarest ingredient in the restaurant business. Now let's get one thing straight: I'm no pushover. I'm a hardened chowhound, the kind of guy who's eaten enough questionable meals in enough questionable places to know the difference between real food and the kind of grease-slicked heartbreak they sling at certain fast-food counters. You know the type, where the cook is juggling a cigarette, a spatula, and what appears to be a deep philosophical relationship with his own nostrils while your breakfast slowly becomes a medical event. Ted's is not that place. The chicken club, hold the Thousand Island, thank you very much, is a beautiful, no-nonsense stack of poultry and bread that understands its job. The carne asada burrito comes wrapped like a promise and delivers on it with gusto. And the steak sandwich? That one deserves a small standing ovation. They buy good steaks, real steaks, and cook them the way steaks were meant to be cooked: hot, fast, and with respect. In a world full of culinary pretenders and Instagram food that looks better than it tastes, Ted's is rock solid. The kind of place that doesn't need a story, because the food tells it for them.

Updating my review in response to the managers response:…read more I escalated ALL of these to your staff. I even had to ask for a new cup when I told them the soda machine wasn't working, as they just said sorry and walked away. I showed the person who walked by us the eggs and she said "oh, I'm not sure" and walked away from the table. When our plates were taken away, I told them we had a very poor experience. The person said "one moment", walked away, and we wanted 20 more minutes for someone else to show up, but nobody did.

My husband and I spent two amazing nights here during the week. It got pretty busy at the inn as…read moreit was spring break. The service was excellent and can see that staff takes great care and attention to making sure everything is taken care of. We very much appreciated all the amenities this inn had to offer such as the welcome drink, evening cookies (delicious!), sauna, sunblock at the pool, towels, lovely breakfast.. all complimentary (breakfast with resort fee). We also appreciated the 10% military discount. We stayed in room 23 which was a standard queen bed with garden view and liked that spot because it felt central, private, and quiet. The room is on the smaller side but it was fine. It does not have a fridge but they provide an ice bucket. We ended up putting our bottled waters on top of the AC box and that kept it cool. Being that the inn is beautifully historic, there weren't many outlets inside the room. The bath robes were very plush. Both lamp shade knobs didn't seem to turn properly but we made it work somehow. Otherwise, we felt well taken care of throughout our stay and so glad we came. Aside from the inn, there is a walk to get to Victoria Beach. We walked south along Coast Highway to Victoria Place and found the underpass from there. We also took the free trolley outside of the hotel to get around town. It could be quite a wait for the trolley as we waited 30 mins. There is a QR code on the sign to track the trolley locations.

Amazing gem! Charming, intimate, thoughtful... a perfect experience. We even skipped dessert when we went out to dinner so we could come back and enjoy the amazing warm chocolate cookies they put out for guests each evening.
