I came home to Windsor on Friday night for the weekend and my sister wanted to go out for dinner and suggested Kabobgy. I hadn't been yet since they opened and was excited to go! Boy, was I satisfied! Walking inside, it was a quaint small dining area, and a larger counter for takeout. My sister and I sat in, and were immediately attended to. I ordered the Chicken Schwarma Pita Wrap, Combo #2 (which you can order after lunch, it's just an extra $1). It came with a side of hummus and fattoush, and plenty of it. Presentation was wonderful, and the schwarma itself was delicious. There was enough sauce and toppings, as well as chicken to enjoy! Next time I'm in Windsor, I'll definitely be coming back! read more

I would give a 0 If I could. My son is in a wheelchair. There was a vehicle in the only handicapped parking spot in the lot. After a bit of inquiry we find out it's the owner of Kabobgy. Not handicapped. Our waitress ( I assume is his wife ) said they put that handicapped symbol there so they can use the spot to access their back door. What ??? Just WTF???? Then she told me that by law said they can use the spot without a handicap pass. The lies continued and she wanted to keep arguing. What I wanted to understand is why she thinks it's OK to USE a symbol that is an identifier of special needs people to misappropriate a parking spot. To which I asked her if I could trade my sons disability for the use of her husbands legs instead and said he would be happy to walk the extra 20 feet if he could Walk !!! I will never support this restaurant. I will never stop telling people what happened. I'm disgusted in your entitled behaviour and lies about by law officers giving you permission. I will report the vehicle and license and story to Windsor police. read more

Generally I like Kabobgy but yesterday's meal had some very disappointing aspects. Tried the $16.99 spicy chicken entree and the portion of meat was just laugh out loud horrible. Especially considering the fact this is made from ground chicken, kofta style, there was about 1/3rd the amount of meat you'd get with a shawarma or Shish tawouk. Sad. There was lots of rice, but it was bland and only had a fraction of the delicious almonds or pistachio nuts that it used to come with. Salad was very salty. Avoid the spicy chicken unless you have a small appetite. read more

I want to start by saying I do enjoy there food. Beef kabob very tender, hummus and baba's very good, fatoush excellent. My complaint is in there takeout. First time ordered Salas and kabob it was great. Second time ordered salad it came pre dressed and it was soggy. Called they stated because it was busy so they added dressing? This makes no sense to me. Couldn't go back dinner was now ready. No offer for a free or discounted salad next time. This time I asked for extra pita and was charged .60 a piece seriously! A fresh bag at the store is $1.50 for 10. Sorry that's just being cheap. Other restaurants offer it for free. Mexican gives nachos, Italian restaurants give bread etc... sorry but being cheap in the restaurant business does not go over well ever. I hope they realize what that says to there loyal customers. read more

service was fast. restaurant is beautiful, tastefully decorated and very clean. the hummus was good, very creamy. however the shawarma didnt seem fresh and i didnt like the seasoning on either the beef or chicken it was expensive as well, two lunches was over $30 read more

This is a review on the front cashier only. Not the usual girl and definitely not the same standard of service. I work nearby and I eat here often. I even bring clients and coworkers here for lunch when I can. However, today I ordered and was charged extra for a substitution that was a less expensive option on the menu. This is a substitution that I have made before at no charge with the usual girl. When I asked why I was being charged, she mumbled something and took the next person's order. The next person ordered and made a substitution and she politely said, I'll include it this time but next time it's extra. So hypocritical! I will consider ordering elsewhere if she is the person who is at the cash next time I come in. read more

I have been to the one on Tecumseh Road East quite a few times and always return when my craving comes back. The Fatoush Salad is really really good. Also the wraps are all good. The garlic sauce is excellent. The prices are great. The service is great. What more can I say. read more

Was visiting family in Windsor. Family recommended to try this place out. We ordered the chicken shish tawook and seekh kabab wraps. The chicken shish wrap was ok, tasted more like a shawarma wrap but the chicken was juicy. On the other hand the seekh kabab wrap did not hit the spot. The sauces used were good but the meat did not have much flavouring. All in all it was an ok experience. read more

Went there for lunch on the weekend. Two tables of people were already there, not big tables, and then a couple of us joined. Service is really really slow. It took probably 10-15 minutes to put in our order, then another few minutes after that to get water. I think we waited almost half an hour to get our food, which were just a couple of sandwiches. Quality of food is really good, but we were in the restaurant for over an hour. Server was lukewarm friendly. read more
