Visit #1: The glamorous 5,000-mile service with just a tire rotation and inspection (remember, it's an electric vehicle). I made an afternoon appointment, waited over an hour, and when I finally got back into my car, the "Maintenance Required" message was still happily glowing on my dashboard. The technician had three jobs: inspect a basically new car, rotate the tires, and reset the maintenance indicator. Two out of three isn't terrible if you're flipping a coin--but it's not great for a service department. Apparently, there's no final check to make sure the service work was completed accurately. Visit #2: Another technically challenging tire rotation at 10,000 miles, but this one didn't even make it to the "service" part. When scheduling online, I noticed every single time slot for the entire week was wide open--like a buffet of availability. Odd, but okay. I booked another afternoon slot, showed up, and the good news was that they knew I was coming. Bad news: after over an hour of waiting for just another tire rotation, they had only managed to move my car into the shop. I finally gave up, told a service advisor I had to leave, and escaped through an open bay door. No apology, no "let's make this right," no offer to reschedule at a less-busy time. Just me and my unrotated tires driving away in disappointment. It's been over a week, and still no follow-up from Mike Shaw Subaru. Eventually, it dawned on me: they don't actually adjust their schedule based on workload, number of customers ahead, or how many technicians are available. Every time slot is always open! It looks great online, but it's basically an illusion, like those medical offices where your "appointment" means you get to wait longer in a smaller room. If you've read this far, you probably already know where this is going. I cannot recommend Mike Shaw Subaru in Greeley for service. If they can't complete a 5,000-mile service correctly or within a reasonable amount of time, I wouldn't feel confident trusting them with anything more complicated. P.S. Check out their available appointments for tomorrow, which is a Saturday, no less. Does that seem odd to you?

They told me I needed to bring the car in for an inspection, which I did. They said they perform a full inspection, and after a few hours, they gave me a report stating that, in addition to the rear brakes, it was "urgently needed" with a red exclamation icon to replace the water pump/alternator belts. The person at the front desk, XXXX was very impatient to have me decide whether I would ask them a service or not at the spot. They attached a photo and claimed the belts had cracks and damage, but the photo was unclear. Since I don't know much about cars, I agreed to the replacement. After the service was completed and I paid, I noticed the receipt said "serpentine belts replaced," which alarmed me because I had replaced the serpentine belt just the previous month. I didn't realize that the water pump belt is referred to as the serpentine belt. I went back to question them, and XXXX at the shop showed me the old belts. Of course they looked almost new (one completely IS new) and had no visible cracks or damage. I told him, "You replaced the belt that I had just replaced last month." XXXX responded by just saying, "Sorry, it looked damaged," but did not provide a satisfactory explanation. After this experience, I had my battery--which they had diagnosed as "weak"--checked at another shop. The technician there told me the battery was fine and did not need to be replaced. This experience felt like a complete rip-off. I will not return to this shop. If you are not knowledgeable about cars, be very very cautious, and always ask for another opinion at another shop(s). Based on my experience, they may recommend unnecessary repairs.

Based on this experience I have to say they have failed epically and I question wether service tech just blew me off and has not sent Caliber Collision estimate to "upper Management as claimed" I'm sick of this frickin' hassle and epic customer service failure-and physical repair a failure. After having a coolant flow control valve installed and an oil change on my Prius, I was NOT provided a receipt or invoice at checkout from David the service representative due to printer issues in the office. I am one of those owners that keeps all records of service and am very meticulous with maintenance. He agreed to email me the docs but after two days I received nothing. I then called the office to leave a message to inform David to send (or resend). No results. Soon after I received a "courtesy text" from David asking to rate Import's service. I responded letting him know that I had not received my reciept/ invoice. Once again, no response. I recently called and asked to talk to Import's owner hoping to get results. Was told that she was on the line with another customer and would call me back to talk. Still no return call or results. At this point Import Specialists has not provided me a receipt/ invoice and is unwilling to return my calls, texts. I've been a regular customer of Import since I moved into the neighborhood approximately 5 years ago. I have trusted and received service that met my expectations at each service interval. Despite my many efforts for follow up I am disappointed that Import has not met my expectations for reasonable customer service and I can no longer trust the company to continue my vehicle service.

BG Automotive? More like "BS" Automotive. The one star is for an oil change (since 0 stars is not…read morean option). BG Auto IS SHADY, smooth talking for sure, but A RIP OFF. STAY AWAY. This is a lengthy description, but it's not half the story. To all the glowing 5 star reviewers - check your invoices. The problem started with their "courtesy inspection" accompanying the oil change, where half of their recommendations (deemed red flag "Requires Immediate Attention") ultimately turned out to be mostly unnecessary and absurdly expensive. That became apparent only after paying. My bad, of course, I obviously should have asked to see a detailed estimate prior to the work. The initial estimate did not provide parts or labor detail & appeared to indicate the work was part of a "complete tune up." Upon dropping off the truck, "Service Advisor"Jesse stated that Champion copper spark plugs had been factory installed on 2013 RAM 2500s, so that was best & what BG would install. Classic BAIT & SWITCH: BG charged $508.48 for a set of 16 plugs! When I challenged the bill, asking if "kryptonite plugs" were installed instead, Jesse indicated, no, the copper plugs were used... then he checked his computer & stated, actually no, in fact the [far] more expensive NKG iridium plugs were installed. "They're much better because they last up to 100,000 miles," he emphasized. I replied, "Great. BG just changed out NGK iridium plugs that had been in the engine already, with only 60,000 miles on them." The WORK WAS COMPLETELY UNNECESSARY. Also on the bill was a "TOTAL FEES" charge of $175.77 (yes, that specific), but with ZERO DETAIL of what those fees were for or how they were calculated. Jesse couldn't provide that detail either, "It could be shop supplies, or hazardous disposal - you know, those state regulations - it could be almost anything." Note there were no hazardous materials involved with this work, such as a tire or battery disposal fee. (Google search indicates: In Colorado, shop fees are usually calculated as a percentage of the labor cost (e.g., 5-10%) and are often capped at a maximum amount (e.g., $25 to $50). Also, Colorado statute requires the repair invoice to have some kind of description of these fees, and further, "a description of each part by name and identifying number." Nowhere on the invoice was the type of plugs installed specified, either. You get NADA DETAIL from BS Automotive. Finally, while repair shops typically mark up parts 70-100% of wholesale price, BG is marking up parts in the ballpark of 100% of retail price. (If you can pry out of them the parts brand they say they'll use, you can easily verify this with a Google search at their counter.) They should be ashamed and embarrassed for what they're charging the hardworking folks of Longmont. When pressed to justify the charges, Jesse insisted they were competitive, "within 5% of other local repair shops." More BS. Comparing apples to apples (parts & labor only), the local dealership quoted over $200 less, the Loveland repair shop I've frequented in the past was over $400 less (obviously, checked after the fact...). If the handful of other shops Jesse quoted are actually within 5%, they are ripping us off too. Jesse would not budge on the final bill, but he did offer to comp me an oil change. As if! I had already told him I would never set foot in BG Automotive again. However, I would take a call from the BG Automotive (Owner) to provide the rest of the story about this pathetic BG encounter.
