He truly is a master mechanic. I'm a bit scared to give this review since I'm scared he's going to get flooded with customers, but going to take my chance here, since he has gained my hard earned trust after I've been let down so many times by other mechanic shops and stealer ships servicing centers last couple of years.

I already knew exactly what i needed because i had it in at the dealer. Adam however was prompt in getting me a quote in under 24 hours. Answered my questions that i had afterwards and also was able to work me in quickly as well. I definitely appreciate the introduction to quality of service. I was headed out of town and was able to leave my car. They have a key drop box that you can leave your keys. It was extremely easy. I got a text with a link to what work i was authorizing. He had it done with in a day. His quotes came in less than the ones that i did manage to get from others. Also if you are a first time YELP customer there is a 15% off coupon. He sent me a text with a link to tell me what other work my car might need. Some of it I knew from the dealer, a couple of things I did not. But was appreciative of knowing what else he found. I drove my car this morning for the first time post having the work done and the car is driving much better. I would definitely come back in the future.

They're thorough, take time on the phone, document everything, and are just generally a pleasure to work with. BG Automotive? More like "BS" Automotive. The one star is for an oil change (since 0 stars is not…read morean option). BG Auto IS SHADY, smooth talking for sure, but A RIP OFF. STAY AWAY. This is a lengthy description, but it's not half the story. To all the glowing 5 star reviewers - check your invoices. The problem started with their "courtesy inspection" accompanying the oil change, where half of their recommendations (deemed red flag "Requires Immediate Attention") ultimately turned out to be mostly unnecessary and absurdly expensive. That became apparent only after paying. My bad, of course, I obviously should have asked to see a detailed estimate prior to the work. The initial estimate did not provide parts or labor detail & appeared to indicate the work was part of a "complete tune up." Upon dropping off the truck, "Service Advisor"Jesse stated that Champion copper spark plugs had been factory installed on 2013 RAM 2500s, so that was best & what BG would install. Classic BAIT & SWITCH: BG charged $508.48 for a set of 16 plugs! When I challenged the bill, asking if "kryptonite plugs" were installed instead, Jesse indicated, no, the copper plugs were used... then he checked his computer & stated, actually no, in fact the [far] more expensive NKG iridium plugs were installed. "They're much better because they last up to 100,000 miles," he emphasized. I replied, "Great. BG just changed out NGK iridium plugs that had been in the engine already, with only 60,000 miles on them." The WORK WAS COMPLETELY UNNECESSARY. Also on the bill was a "TOTAL FEES" charge of $175.77 (yes, that specific), but with ZERO DETAIL of what those fees were for or how they were calculated. Jesse couldn't provide that detail either, "It could be shop supplies, or hazardous disposal - you know, those state regulations - it could be almost anything." Note there were no hazardous materials involved with this work, such as a tire or battery disposal fee. (Google search indicates: In Colorado, shop fees are usually calculated as a percentage of the labor cost (e.g., 5-10%) and are often capped at a maximum amount (e.g., $25 to $50). Also, Colorado statute requires the repair invoice to have some kind of description of these fees, and further, "a description of each part by name and identifying number." Nowhere on the invoice was the type of plugs installed specified, either. You get NADA DETAIL from BS Automotive. Finally, while repair shops typically mark up parts 70-100% of wholesale price, BG is marking up parts in the ballpark of 100% of retail price. (If you can pry out of them the parts brand they say they'll use, you can easily verify this with a Google search at their counter.) They should be ashamed and embarrassed for what they're charging the hardworking folks of Longmont. When pressed to justify the charges, Jesse insisted they were competitive, "within 5% of other local repair shops." More BS. Comparing apples to apples (parts & labor only), the local dealership quoted over $200 less, the Loveland repair shop I've frequented in the past was over $400 less (obviously, checked after the fact...). If the handful of other shops Jesse quoted are actually within 5%, they are ripping us off too. Jesse would not budge on the final bill, but he did offer to comp me an oil change. As if! I had already told him I would never set foot in BG Automotive again. However, I would take a call from the BG Automotive (Owner) to provide the rest of the story about this pathetic BG encounter.

All bad repairs have been done by his son Joseph and have all been lousy! He owes me money but I told his cousin (a nice young man) I don't even want the money - he just lost a long time customer! I have a very noticeable scratch on my windshield due to the wiper flying off while in use,the metal scraped the scratch on to the glass. Shortly after they replaced it it was making a noise I took it back they replaced it. Shortly after that it was making a similar noise out of the same side. They charged me again to do the passenger side bearing, a week later the same noise. They tried to change my driver side bearing one more time with no luck. I took it to another shop and it was fixed right within hours. I had a similar situation with the water pump they had my car for a month I finally took it to another shop and they had it fixed that day within hours. When confronting Joseph or Ray they always give you a run-around. I was told one time that they're left was broken while I was standing under it talking with Joseph working on a car. Ray was telling me he was working on the lift while I was on the phone with him and obviously he was just making it up. They seem to make a lot of stuff up over there. They owe me $1,000 for my ball bearings that I paid them to fix and they never did. I had to pay someone else to do it right. They owe me $136 for an alignment.$100 for a speed sensor, $65.00 for a tire I need to buy because I suddenly had a bald one on my vehicle and no one knew why. They stole all of my money and tools out of my car the last time they had it. An air compressor, jump box, boombox, vacuum, Craftsman ratchets and other items totaling over $300. I filed a police report. They had my car for a month and couldn't put the timing belt on it correctly. When I took it to another mechanic they fixed it the same day and said there was no timing belt kit ever put on my vehicle. He said the police had never been replaced and they look like they were grinded on. He also mentioned there were missing bolts. When confronted by this they still lie! This was their mechanic buddy they sent me to LOL. Save yourself headaches, time and money. Pay someone that can actually fix your vehicle! R and L had my vehicle for months and never fixed it. They took money to fix it but didn't! Beware it's a scam!

Had AAA tow us to a shop that told us they couldn't diagnose until 5pm (we would've had to cancel the trip). Tower brought us over to them right as they opened up and they got us in short notice-- we had a good idea of what the issue was, talked with the mechanic and he said since we're passing through he'd help us out asap. Took about 2 hours total and their team fixed the brake, got fluid back in the lines and bled them, realigned, and looked over everything to be sure we'd be safe on the trip (even topped off our tires and washer fluid). The price was fair and the service was 5-stars, we even had our 2 dogs with us and they were accommodating and recommended a nearby dog park while we waited. This is a great team, I'd recommend them to anyone in the area!

A Tiny Shop with a Giant Heart - 1UP Complete Auto Care Just Leveled Up My Faith in Humanity…read more I'll be honest: I was braced for the usual auto-shop experience - overpriced upsells, vague shrugs, and that lingering suspicion they just made up half the stuff on the invoice. Then I called 1UP Complete Auto Care on a whim, and everything changed. It started normal enough: shopping around for an oil change, getting sticker shock from the dealership, calling local places. The voice on the other end of the line at 1UP (Bree) was friendly, transparent about pricing, and didn't try to scare me into sixteen extra services. Cool, I thought. Promising. Then fate (or my 12-year-old car's sense of comedic timing) decided to intervene. While double-checking my oil level that same night, the plastic handle of my dipstick snapped clean off, leaving the metal shaft stuck flush in the tube like some cruel automotive Excalibur. Panic level: maximum. I called 1UP back in defeat. Bree actually remembered me from twenty minutes earlier (already rare), listened to my sad tale, and instead of the expected "yeah, that'll be $150 to fish it out," she put me on hold for ten seconds, talked to Justin (the owner and tech), and came back with the most beautiful sentence a car owner can hear: "Bring it in tomorrow with your oil change and we'll take care of the dipstick for free." Free. As in zero dollars. For a problem that literally no one would have blamed them for charging me to fix. Next day, I roll in expecting the bare minimum. Instead, Justin pulls the broken stub out in about thirty seconds like it's nothing, installs the brand-new dipstick, does the oil change, then does something I have never - and I mean never - experienced in two decades of car ownership: He invited me back into the bay, popped the hood, and walked me through everything he checked - fluid levels, belts, brakes, tires, even the weird noise my suspension makes when it's cold. No rush, no condescension, just genuine pride in his work and a desire to make sure I left knowing my car was actually taken care of. I stood there in wonder, stunned that this level of care and craftsmanship still exists in the world. Bree and Justin didn't just fix my car. They reminded me that there are still people running small businesses who treat every customer like family, who do the right thing simply because it's the right thing, and who make you excited to need an oil change again. 1UP Complete Auto Care didn't just earn a customer for life. They earned every referral I can possibly give. If you're tired of the usual auto-repair roulette, do yourself a favor and pull the joystick toward 1UP. Ten out of ten, no continues needed.

Unfortunate to write this about a small business such as this, but sadly this is the worst…read moreexperience I've had with any shop that I've ever taken any car to. I dropped my Mercedes Benz s55 AMG off over 2 weeks ago with a hydrolic suspension failure. This shop asked if I was in a rush to get the car and mistakenly I told them no, because I wasn't expecting to wait 2 plus weeks to get a diagnosis on my car. Also, this tech pre diagnosed my vehicle with a pump and hose failure (after the car sat there for 4-5 business days), only to find out that a blown gasket (over 2 weeks at the shop now) was the cause of the failure, not the pre diagnosed issue he thought it was. I had agreed to wait on the diagnosis, however I didn't think it would take him over 2 weeks to get to my vehicle. I know he'll reply to this saying "that's what we had agreed upon" and "your communication was fine until I actually diagnosed the issue" Correct, mainly because he hadn't called me or messaged me more than just telling me the parts I had ordered arrived. So how am I supposed to know anything about what's going on? In hindsight I guess I should have reached out. I have never and will never again have a shop pre diagnose something and order parts before a full inspection of the issue is complete on a car. I ordered the parts myself to avoid steep fees, and now I regret that because I'm stuck with $700 in unneeded parts. I told him upon drop off that the fix might be fast and simple because the previous owner said these components rarely fail. he said he was fairly certain it was the aforementioned parts and that he didn't want to tear down the car without having the replacements on hand. Apparently to not have a car sitting dismantled? But that doesn't make a lot of sense to me because a teardown would have saved me 3/4 of a thousand dollars. I agreed to this due to his confidence in the possible issue, and he seemed to want to go that direction and not tear the car apart right away . I will never have a car repaired like this again. Oh and on the phone he said something along the lines of "I'm being nice by telling you what's going on and not just putting the new parts in" Should I be thankful for you doing the bare minimum and the right thing? Pretty insane statement. Like what's the alternative, you basically stealing from me? Before saying this, he asked if I just wanted to go ahead and switch the parts?? If the original are still working why on earth would I want to do that. He also messaged me asking what would make it right, and then proceeded to not offer any sort of discount or any real solution to my frustration. The communication could have been better on my end, however as a business owner, it's your responsibility to keep a customer updated. And obviously my car was deprioritized because a gasket like this could have been fixed within a week of dropping the car off. He did not complete the repair on my car because apparently my reaction to all this made him uncomfortable. And honestly I don't feel comfortable with him doing the repair after this fiasco. He should have just said this was beyond his scope from the beginning, and not played around with my time or money. Hate writing reviews like this, but the owner refusesd to take much responsibility for being in possession of my car for such a long time only to find he had misdiagnosed the issue from the start, costing me a lot out of pocket. Ill give 2 stars because things hypothetically could have been worse, but not by much. Unfortunately I can't recommend service here.
