Efficient and Helpful I ran into Accent American completely by luck when I saw his Accent American truck. Very nice and down to earth guy. I had some worries about some questionable looking bathroom walls. He told me he be happy to come by and check it out. He promptly arrived the next morning on time (no I'll show up between 8AM-8PM). He found some mold and explained everything to me in detail about what the cause was, what he would need to do and gave me a very reasonable quote and told me it wasn't anything to be too worrisome about. Being the cautious consumer that I am, I thanked him for his time and decided to get another estimate. Wrong decision! I sat around all day waiting for another contractor to come check it out. Not only was the estimate twice as much, he never went into detail about what the problem was and made me feel like my house was doomed to rot if I didn't handle it that second! I did not have a favorable experience with this company. Owner Ken promised me and my realtor that he could make my carpet look brand new and said he could get rid of specific spots. After I paid him $325, he told me that I had wear spots that couldnt be removed. Unfortunately, he did clean my carpet so I couldnt get my money back but I feel he didnt keep his promise. Also, I asked for my grout to be cleaned. We all know what dirty grout looks like. After the job, Ken said he cleaned the tile and if I wanted the grout cleaned, I would have to pay $800 for a restoration instead of a cleaning. I feel like I lost over $800 with this company. Also, during a repair, owner Ken was supposed to remove a ceiling due to water damage. I was told He wasnt careful at all about how he removed the crown moulding and I had to buy all new crown moulding. read more

Ken and Company showed up to the rescue after a disasterously incorrect evaluation by another similar company failed to identify a wall stain in two rooms. Accent's work was precise isolating the leak in a completely different area seeping thru to the wall from the far side. Accent also immediately proved their location of the problem and with minimal destruction removed the sheetrock and cabinets effected, exposing a concealed source of the leak. This saved us money and suffering as the first evaluation would have removed the wrong area needlessly, allowing additional damage. Our Insurance Company loved his accuracy! Accent American cleaned the grout in our tile floors. Our entire first floor is travertine tile and honestly I didn't think it looked bad or needed to be cleaned. My wife hired them and Ken came to the house to do the cleaning. When I came home that afternoon it looked as if we had hired someone to replace all of the tile on our first floor. It was amazing.
