Terrible customer service. I had a quote from them to do my awning at my shop and because they had to change the way the awning would be installed they just said "we can't do your awning and we are sending your deposit back" I called the owner of the company and he proceeded to back up his field claims that the job could not be done even though he never came out with his workers to asses. When I had him speak to the installers that came out to measure they confirmed that it could be done. Instead of apologizing and doing the job the owner said that he didn't feel comfortable doing the job because they had to drill holes in the wood to install. Wow how else would you install? Glue it to the building? They just didn't want to admit that the job was too small for their busy schedule (which was told to us by their workers) I would never refer any business to this incompetent company. Robert I appreciate the reply and although I very seldom leave reviews I felt this was necessary. If it were that easy of an explanation I would not have left the review. You and I spoke and you explained to me that it could not be done and once I told you that the information you received by your rep was untrue and that your installers said this could be done by three different options 1. Attaching via the wood header2. Raising the awning and attaching with anchors the cement building or 3. Adding angles and crossbars for added support. You still did not want to acknowledge that you were given incorrect information and made your decision with that incorrect knowledge. once you learned that it could be done by three options you decided to stand firm with the misinformation and create a new obstacle about messing with the integrity of the 8 inch header which is preposterous. So I do not wish to continue this. You know that this 4'8 awning would be able to be installed many different ways but you and your rep decided that you did not want to do the job for whatever the real reason is. read more

As good an experience as I've ever had having work done on our home. Wanted to get our windows tinted, but found out tinting would void the window warranty. Looked around for a reputable awning company for a while. Did our research and received 3 quotes. One company didn't even have a brochure or a written warranty. When we looked up the warranty on their website, it wasn't the same as they told us while at our home. Another didn't have a warranty and when we looked them up we found they didn't have workers compensation insurance. The last quote was from Accent Awnings. Our salesperson John has been with the company for over 30 years. He did the awnings on our neighbors home, which we didn't know until after we met him. Our neighbors said they did a quality job. We received a product brochure, a written warranty, a written detailed quote and some information about what some other awning companies do to save money on the warranty end. Who knew a life time warranty in California is 3 years? So we signed up, paid the deposit, the credit card was processed on an iPad and we received an emailed receipt and a copy of the written contract. 3 weeks after we signed up received a call from the scheduling department to set up the installation. 2 days later three guys show up, on time I might add, and 2 hours after that we had a wonderful electric awning. We nailed the fabric color thanks to the swatches of fabric John had sent to our house after our appointment. The awning works great, and the inside of house feels way cooler in the late afternoon. I'm writing this review because we received such excellent customer service from Accent Ind. I thought it deserved positive attention. My wife wanted to have an awning installed over our front door and met James, the Accent Rep', at our home for an estimate. James was on time, knowledgeable and very helpful walking us through various options and patiently explaining the pros/cons of each. The awning arrived when promised. The installed called ahead as we had asked and he showed up on time. The installer also took time going illustrating where the awning should be placed, etc. and when he left, he cleanup up thoroughly. A day or so after the installation my wife didn't think the awning "looked right" and re-contacted James @ Accent. She explained she wasn't 100% satisfied and asked if James was able to come back out and offer some suggestions. James was, in fact, did come back and after looking at the awning he agreed it should be larger and installed in a slightly different way. Accent Industries re-made the awning without any delay and no argument about who was right or wrong based on the initial selection. They literally shocked us by being so easy to deal with !! The new awning looks great and we highly recommend James and Accent Industries to anyone interested in working with a professional awning company. read more

I've purchased drop shades and retractable awnings from Accent Awning dating back to 2008. I added several drop shades to a mother-in-laws quarters as well as the main house. Over the years I've added more shades to the main house to make a blackout room for movie viewing (and migraine relief) during the day and am now shopping to install 5 more drop shades. On the sunny side of the house they save us huge amounts of air conditioning costs and on both sides they provide fantastic sense of security and privacy. I like that we can have screens or solids depending on where in the house we want the shade/protection or privacy. Accent Awning pro's come, measure and quote, provide a delivery (install date) and boom they go up in a flash. Three weeks was the approximate time to receive the quality fabric ordered. The installation crew arrived close to the time of day promised, and the job was done quickly and professionally. The two-man's lead person was courteous and undisturbed by any questions posed to him by us. Please thank your staff from us. We needed our awning fabric replaced due to age. After searching various companies and getting estimates we decided upon Accent Awnings based in Santa Ana. They work in a wide spread area. Sales rep John was pleasant, came with good samples and was very knowledgeable. Answered all my questions. Material used is Sunbrella, so is good and durability should be long lasting. We had a small fixed awning installed over another window for privacy. Installation took about an hour from removal of the old fabric to completion of the new. Service also included cleaning adjusting and lubrication of the motorized frame work. Estimated turn around was 2-4 weeks from order placement and we were finished at 3 weeks. Very pleased with the product. We certainly recommend whether for a new application or replacement. read more

I was extremely pleased with Accent Awnings. They installed awnings (both retractable and spear awnings) as well as roller shades on my house when it was built 25 years ago (before I owned it). I stopped at the location on a Saturday to explore my options. I was provided an opportunity to see the manufacturing side since they were not working that day. It was impressive. They sent someone to my home to get exact measurements. The installers were very good and professional. They really knew what they were doing. We originally purchased our awning in 2010. We called them to replace the fabric on our awning just a few weeks ago and they STILL had all of our information on file! I made an appointment to pick new fabric a week later. The gentleman was on time, very nice and was helpful when it came time to make the final decision.
