Do yourself a favor , and never ever call these scumbags and have them help you with insurance. Call the actual insurance provider directly . First, I call to change vehicles on a policy, ok cool, they charge me $100, supposedly for the switch agent then tells me my total will be $120 for the next month. I get a bill in the mail. My total is not $120. It's $220. so first I call back basic freeway customer service. The individual who helps me is acting like he pays me. They have no customer service whatsoever, they are able to give me no information. They tell me they don't have any recoed of them charging me , and dont know what the transcatiyis for. This is like the third time I've called nobody's able to give me information. (I called kemper, they have no record of the transaction) . The agent then transferred me to a licensed agent. That agent is extremely rude to me. He finally tells me what the transaction is for, and supposedly it was for adding things to my policy, which it was not, and then proceeded to be extremely rude and avoid questions and basically again talk back to me like He pays me for service. Bascially this agent just added stuff I didn't need on my policy and blamed it on switching the vehicles . Do youself a favor . Call kemper call all state call aaa directly . These people are scamming people collectivly and their swrvice culture shows it read more

Enter at your own risk. *Backstory* I am a very good driver, no accidents, or tickets etc. I had freeway insurance for liability for the past 2 years. Sold my car got an upgrade and now need full coverage. 1. They overcharge to start any policy with them and dont explain any of their fees. Shop around first. Just because they are local doesn't mean they won't rip you off. 2. I explained in full detail what i was calling about and how i needed my old policy cancelled, and to start this new one. He was quick to take my money for the new policy but without my notice never cancelling the old one. (1/10/2020) 3. I call a week before i remember my previous policy payment was due, just to confirm it was cancelled, and to my surprise it wasn't. Speaking to the woman on the phone she told me to send in an official letter to cancel it. So i did. (1/20/2020) 4. Im recieving letters and phone calls from my previous policy telling me i owe them money. (1/25-1/27) 5. (1/31/2020) Freeway calls me for more money of course. And i then mention I'm still getting calls and letters from the previous policy. The sales rep uses the excuse that they just want my business and that my information is still on file but he assures me its cancelled. I ask for some type of letter or proof its actually cancelled and i get transferred to someone else. 6. The 4th person i talk to then tells me my policy is still active and that he will try to back date the cancellation since it is past my due date. I explain to him that i have been trying to cancel this policy since January 10th and ask where was the breakdown in information/communication here, because I've been doing everything they have asked. He of course has no answer. He gives me the same email that i sent my letter to 11 days ago. I resend my same email to the same address and now magically he recieves it. I am not upset with this sales rep because he is the only one that actually helped me (i hope). But i am upset at Freeway as a whole. It is not ok to continue to charge people for insurance they no longer need. I feel like they were being very shady and trying to still charge me and ignore my request to actually cancel a policy for a car i no longer own. So again i advise you, do your research before getting entangled with freeway as your insurance provider. I wish i had did my homework. read more

First I was up-charged as a good driver. The sales agent insisted the over charge was in the event I get into an accident within the first 30 days of service. The intent behind being granted a good driver discount is because you've had no accidents! I've not been in an accident in 20 years! The sales agent reluctantly reduced the initial down payment fee. I asked that the remaining balance be split into two payments. The sales agent charged me $15 for a split payment fee. I called two days in advance of the schedule split fee deduction and the sale person who took the call said Jorge was not in, and there was nothing she could do if I didn't come into the office. It was never I had to return to the office to correct an already aggreed upon service. When I called to follow up a second time, the answering agent placed me on hold of which you guessed it, the call was hung up! The third call left me on hold with 36 people ahead of me. I HATE sales people who simply try to take advantage of you! I would not recommend this location to anyone!!! And, refund my $15!!! read more

its not surprising that the few reviews written about this company (different locations) are all bad. This company is SHADY! While buying a new car at Marina Honda, I was referred to freeway by the salesman (who by the way gets a kickback for referrals). I spoke to Sal at the office and was quoted a monthly charge of $111. A few days later there was a charge on my bank account for $455 for broker fees that were never mentioned. I have spent weeks trying to get this rectified without success. The company is uncooperative and just gives you the run around. STAY AWAY. You do not want to do business with people like this. read more
