She and her team were absolutely great. I cannot say enough good things about my experience, from the moment I checked in until the moment I checked out. I give them five stars across the board. I was checked in quickly, and in less than ten minutes, the medical team was already caring for me. About a week before becoming sick, I had been exposed to a serious biological health hazard with potentially fatal consequences. Naturally, I was extremely concerned, and my wife was terrified. Dr. Voigt listened carefully, ordered the appropriate tests, and quickly determined my illness was unrelated to that exposure. She assured me I would make a full recovery within a few days. Her reassurance meant more than I can express. Dr. Voigt's calm, compassionate, and confident manner immediately put me at ease, so I was able to call my wife and let her know that I would be okay. She treated me with genuine kindness, respect, and professionalism throughout my visit. I left feeling relieved, encouraged, and truly cared for. I also want to thank the entire staff at Scripps Urgent Care. Everyone I encountered was warm, friendly, compassionate, and professional. She stared at us with a glazed-over expression and an odd smile. She asked what was wrong, and I explained that my daughter had injured her hand and needed an X-ray. She responded, verbatim: "He's busy right now but will be out soon." Who is "he"? A doctor? A provider? We had no idea. She then disappeared into the back without having us check in, collect our information, or fill out any paperwork, leaving us standing alone in the empty lobby. After waiting even longer, I called the front desk from my phone, hoping it would prompt someone to come out. The phone rang twice with no answer. I called again, and the same employee answered with, "Hi, how may I help you?" I said, "I'm standing in the lobby. Is anyone going to help us?" There wasn't a single other patient in the waiting room. She finally came back out and asked what insurance we had--which they accepted--but continued moving at an incredibly slow pace. At that point, I asked, "Can you tell me where there's a real urgent care?" We left and went to Scripps instead, where my daughter received prompt, professional care. This was one of the most bizarre and frustrating healthcare experiences I've ever had. If your child has an urgent injury, I would not recommend coming here. Definitely a scam!

I have been limping and fighting through my runs so I decided I have to get this fixed. I called Medhero and they got me in same day was only there about an hour got the steroid needle in my foot in and out. Everyone was so nice and professional and super user friendly. They keep it simple. Thank you MedHero and the doctor who actually was a former Navy Flight Surgeon he was so easy to talk to and minimized the pain of that big needle going into my foot. My husband told me I got a letter in the mail stating that I was writing messages in my portal to my Drs. I thought the portal was used as a extra tool for Scripps when you do not go to appointments for your health and concerns. They threatened me that they would kick me out of Jefferson if i wrote anymore messages. Don't I have any patient's right for my healthcare to use the portal for questions and concerns when appointments are over two to three months in the future? I felt threatened and abandoned especially that I was recently discharged from the ER and needed some answers from lab work which I feel was not given by the ER Dr. On top of that I got a letter in my portal about missing and no show appts which I go all the time because I have other people drive me there so why is there such a mess when I feel I am threatened? Does anyone else have this experience with Scripps at this time with communication on portal, mail and no one replying to their messages on portal? Has anyne else been threatened to be kicked out even if they go to all drs appts on time and ask qs about their health???? 1-star is way too much for this terrible place…read more Called in on a Thursday night at about 7:45pm since they were the only Urgent "Care" facility that was open last 7pm. They told me they closed at 9pm, no mention "be here by 8:30pm". I should have known that this place is of questionable quality because I asked the receptionist (I think her name was Kenya but not 100% sure) if they take a certain insurance company; she started to tell me "if it's MediCal, no". I told her SEVERAL times that MediCal has nothing to do with the McHardy insurance as this was an insurance company provided to a full time employee of another local hospital. She finally stopped mentioning MediCal. Arrived at 8:27pm, parked the car at 8:29pm, walked in at 8:30pm, the receptionist (again, I think her name was Kenya), started talking to my wife (who had a very painful ear infection) at 8:32 where she told us "we aren't taking any patients after 8:30pm, you are welcome to stop by tomorrow at 9am"!!! I begged her to reconsider since there is no mention anywhere about this policy plus it was...8:32! You should have seen the cold face, the lack of caring, the lack of compassion for our situation, treated you like a piece of meat, not like a human being in need.... What a terrible operation. See attached pics of the lack of mentioning anywhere if this policy plus the cold-hearted answer of the business owner to another reviewer who encountered the same situation as we did, along with many others who found out THE HARD WAY, how cold hearted this place is. DO NOT BOTHER GOING TO THIS PLACE; I can only imagine the level of care they provide when they treat you so coldly, so inhumanely. The type of care you're getting for the price they charge in a five minute visit really highlights this broken health system we have going on here and this place takes full advantage of that. I came in for an infected finger thinking I was only going to pay a 30 dollar co-pay that is why I agreed to signing documents. Now I wish I would have dealt with this myself or gone somewhere else. The problem is they end up billing you more later so you don't really know how much you're really actually going to pay until later. The front desks acts like they don't know anything so they end up sending you to their billing department who never answers the phone because I'm probably one out of many with this complaint. Please look at the one-star reviews don't go here!
